We stopped by for dinner while staying nearby. We were craving comfort food after a week of traveling around Hawaii and were looking forward to eating something more homey. To start I got the lava flow blended cocktail which was great and super refreshing! Not too sweet and a blended drink is always perfect for Hawaii. Crispy garlic pork chop and chicken & eggplant in garlic sauce plates. Both were great! The pork chop was definitely the highlight of our meal, so tender and flavorful! The chicken & eggplant was great as well and I appreciated the eggplant after many days of not eating much vegetables. Love that they add chicken to the traditional eggplant in garlic sauce Chinese dish. Overall really yummy food in nice environment and very reasonable prices. We would definitely come back the next time we're in Kauai.

Walking around the shops at Kukui'ula, we saw this spot for an early dinner. It was upstairs and an open air restaurant. Luckily there is an elevator a bit closer to the parking lot. The service was fantastic - the staff was really kind, welcoming, and helped out our family a lot including getting a hello kitty-topped water with straw for our little one, and letting us leave our stroller on the balcony nearby. The food, however, left a little bit to be desired. The furikake fries were okay, but felt like it was lacking something. Additionally, the meal of chicken katsu salad (since was craving greens on vacation), and the fried seafood platter just didn't hit as much as I expected. The dressing on the salad (sesame, or goma) was amazing and salad refreshing, but the katsu seemed a bit light (more breading than chicken), and the seafood combo only came with a little bit of rice. Overall, a fine meal, but the spot is probably a bit better for their brunch/breakfast options.

Good breakfast. We had 2 egg plates with potatoes and bacon/ham. The food came out fast (at 7:45am). Good portion sizes and everything tasted good, although the potatoes seemed to be the pre-made type and not fresh. Service was very friendly. 2nd floor restaurant (elevator access) with open-air seating.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and came across Diner Koloa located at this shopping center (tons of local shops). The food was really. I really love their Garlic Crispy Pork with the vinegar dipping sauce (which at first it's not spicy but then it sneaks up on you). The service was quick. I think it's a Filipino owned restaurant but please correct me if I'm wrong. The prices are not too bad. Not much I can remember about the decor of the place. But I know it was clean and airy. It gives you kind of a cafe vibe versus a restaurant. The place is not too big, but there are a few tables to dine in.

This diner doesn't have fresh local fish, and they "forgot" my husband's meal while mine sat waiting, getting cold. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the loco moco and chicken katsu. I wouldn't order the eel again. Staff were polite for the most part. One of the only places around where we felt the dishes were priced appropriately.

    Pork fried rice! Awesome!

This diner was really great! We ate here after shopping in the beautiful complex. Variety of food, from Asian dishes, to burgers, to desserts. Ox tail soup and Karage chicken were delicious. We got it one night for take out and ate at condo. Oh, the pork fried rice was the star of the show! The wait staff was super nice!

A nice little bungalow very close to all the hotels on Poipu, offering some good eats with a strong island vibe. A very casual dining experience on the 2nd floor giving some good views of the shopping area. Food was pretty good. I don't think anything really stood out. The Dim Sum is definitely on the higher side of pricing, but it was good. Pineapple chicken was reminiscent of your regular battered/fried sweet and sour chicken. It was very good, but I don't think the price justifies the order. Overall service was good, and the food was satiating. We may be inclined to come in and try the other options on the menu, as it is pretty large, but other than proximity and convenience, I don't know if anything really reeled us in.

Located upstairs in the shopping center What a great place to have a great breakfast. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone. From traditional bacon and eggs to Hawaiian favorite like loco moco and spam dishes. Our waitress Camille was fantastic an attentive. Helped us order and gave stellar service. Food came out hot and coffee was topped off regularly. I enjoyed my loco moco breakfast. Hope to return soon to try out the French toast and pancakes. The restaurant is located on the second level of the shopping center. Comfortable booths and fun views of the mall below. It was raining off n on while we were there. No problem as the open air seating was fully covered Great sit down dining Especially if you're gonna shop or do a longs drug store run. All right there. Mahalo Camille for making the start of our day extra special.

DEC2025 Good enough we came here after going to the other location a few days prior. This time we went for dinner though. Upstairs within a shopping area, we didn't have any problems finding parking or the location. Service was helpful with any questions we had, and checked in frequently with water refills. We ordered a lot of things to share for the table. Shumai, ikageso, egg tarts, chicken wing dings, oxtail ramen, tonkotsu ramen, chicken katsu loco moco style. Everything was cooked well. Each of the fried dishes came out hot and crispy. I really liked the chicken wings with the sweet savory notes and that persistent crunch. The shumai were interesting. I liked the filling, but the wrapper was also thicker which was nice. The oxtail ramen was made well and simple. Everything was cooked down and wasn't heavy in the slightest.

The Koloa Diner is located on the second floor of the Shops at Kukui'ula in Poipu. Finding it took a minute -- the plaza isn't very big, but the signage could definitely be better. Once we arrived, it wasn't busy, and we were seated right away. It is an open air restaurant. It has a very "Hawaii" feel to it. When we ordered coffee, my partner asked for decaf and was told they didn't have any. For a place known as a Hawaiian breakfast diner, that was a bit surprising. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and my partner went with the Silog Special -- a Filipino-style breakfast. My Eggs Benedict was good, and the eggs were done perfectly, but the potatoes were bland. The texture was spot on, but they really could've used some seasoning. Our server was friendly and attentive, keeping my coffee filled and our waters topped off. Overall, it was a decent breakfast spot -- friendly service and good food, though a little more attention to flavor (and maybe a decaf option) would make it even better.

Great place to go, establishment is clean and staff is very friendly and attentive. Many options to choose from and food is good. Tried both breakfast and lunch and enjoyed both.

We ordered 2 Loco Moco and this has been one if best Loco Moco's I have had. Perfectly cooked eggs to order, hamburger patties tender and juicy, gravy light taste homemade not the dark packaged da kind and ono Mac salad. Da Best do far!!

4.5 stars I ordered Hawaiian style beef afritada and it was good. They put a lot of beef, and the sauce was slightly strong in flavor, it's a tomato base stew. The banana lumpia was very good. My husband ordered garlic shrimp and we didn't realize it was a fried coated shrimp with garlic topping but otherwise it was delicious. The calamansi juice is good it was refreshing and you can taste the calamansi ( not watered down). Our food came promptly. And the waiter was very attentive. The ceiling is decorated with big fans. The restaurant is open I think no AC but with fans. This location is in the 2nd floor of a strip mall. It has elevators if you don't want to use the wooden stairs. The mall has a lot of shops and it was pretty busy with tourists and families and children. It had plenty of parking.

Something about it , was really neat looking. It was Asian ruined. I liked the music they were playing too. A little techno but that soon changed to country ugh. heheh. We were greeted right away and also seated the same. There were only a few tables taken up at this time since it was only half an hour since they had opened. The staff was really friendly and explained the specials and the favorite menu items. There was so much i wanted to try but there were only the wife and I. The wife got the pigs in a blanket. She said the eggs were cooked perfectly, nice and soft. Liked it I started with the special banana bread bites which were yummy. Then I got the pork hash and fried rice. It looked wonderful and tasted great. Loved it. I knew this was the place to go for a fantastic breakfast. We loved it so much we came here , I think 3 or 4 times during our stay. If we lived here they would call us by name. Next time we got the All about the Bennys. The wife got it with pork belly and it didn't disappoint. so good. I had to try the pancakes so I got one Lilikoi It was so yummy and flaky the wife didn't care for the roasted macadamia nuts but I liked them roasted. Had to get the Loco Moco your way. So I got the shaved prime rib. Wow so perfect. Loved the flavor and it sure hit the spot. Next day the wife got the two eggs with bacon and a crispy shredded potatoes which were amazing. Loved the crunchy potatoes. It was her favorite. I got the crispy pulled pork sandwich and it was just ok , it was kind of dry and I had to ask for bbq sauce to get it down. Won't get that again. And of course another Lilikoi pancake. Last trip the wife got the two eggs and bacon with the crispy potatoes. I got the Loco Moco with the beef patty this time. Of course another Lilikoi pancake. Till the next time we are back in Kauai. We will be back. Funny now the staff welcomed us back because we went there so many times. Love the food. A most stop at place.
