    Kauai Diner Kōloa

Good breakfast. We had 2 egg plates with potatoes and bacon/ham. The food came out fast (at 7:45am). Good portion sizes and everything tasted good, although the potatoes seemed to be the pre-made type and not fresh. Service was very friendly. 2nd floor restaurant (elevator access) with open-air seating.

    Pork fried rice! Awesome!

This diner was really great! We ate here after shopping in the beautiful complex. Variety of food, from Asian dishes, to burgers, to desserts. Ox tail soup and Karage chicken were delicious. We got it one night for take out and ate at condo. Oh, the pork fried rice was the star of the show! The wait staff was super nice!

We were looking for somewhere to eat and came across Diner Koloa located at this shopping center (tons of local shops). The food was really. I really love their Garlic Crispy Pork with the vinegar dipping sauce (which at first it's not spicy but then it sneaks up on you). The service was quick. I think it's a Filipino owned restaurant but please correct me if I'm wrong. The prices are not too bad. Not much I can remember about the decor of the place. But I know it was clean and airy. It gives you kind of a cafe vibe versus a restaurant. The place is not too big, but there are a few tables to dine in.

A nice little bungalow very close to all the hotels on Poipu, offering some good eats with a strong island vibe. A very casual dining experience on the 2nd floor giving some good views of the shopping area. Food was pretty good. I don't think anything really stood out. The Dim Sum is definitely on the higher side of pricing, but it was good. Pineapple chicken was reminiscent of your regular battered/fried sweet and sour chicken. It was very good, but I don't think the price justifies the order. Overall service was good, and the food was satiating. We may be inclined to come in and try the other options on the menu, as it is pretty large, but other than proximity and convenience, I don't know if anything really reeled us in.

Located upstairs in the shopping center What a great place to have a great breakfast. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone. From traditional bacon and eggs to Hawaiian favorite like loco moco and spam dishes. Our waitress Camille was fantastic an attentive. Helped us order and gave stellar service. Food came out hot and coffee was topped off regularly. I enjoyed my loco moco breakfast. Hope to return soon to try out the French toast and pancakes. The restaurant is located on the second level of the shopping center. Comfortable booths and fun views of the mall below. It was raining off n on while we were there. No problem as the open air seating was fully covered Great sit down dining Especially if you're gonna shop or do a longs drug store run. All right there. Mahalo Camille for making the start of our day extra special.

Great place to go, establishment is clean and staff is very friendly and attentive. Many options to choose from and food is good. Tried both breakfast and lunch and enjoyed both.

DEC2025 Good enough we came here after going to the other location a few days prior. This time we went for dinner though. Upstairs within a shopping area, we didn't have any problems finding parking or the location. Service was helpful with any questions we had, and checked in frequently with water refills. We ordered a lot of things to share for the table. Shumai, ikageso, egg tarts, chicken wing dings, oxtail ramen, tonkotsu ramen, chicken katsu loco moco style. Everything was cooked well. Each of the fried dishes came out hot and crispy. I really liked the chicken wings with the sweet savory notes and that persistent crunch. The shumai were interesting. I liked the filling, but the wrapper was also thicker which was nice. The oxtail ramen was made well and simple. Everything was cooked down and wasn't heavy in the slightest.

The Koloa Diner is located on the second floor of the Shops at Kukui'ula in Poipu. Finding it took a minute -- the plaza isn't very big, but the signage could definitely be better. Once we arrived, it wasn't busy, and we were seated right away. It is an open air restaurant. It has a very "Hawaii" feel to it. When we ordered coffee, my partner asked for decaf and was told they didn't have any. For a place known as a Hawaiian breakfast diner, that was a bit surprising. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and my partner went with the Silog Special -- a Filipino-style breakfast. My Eggs Benedict was good, and the eggs were done perfectly, but the potatoes were bland. The texture was spot on, but they really could've used some seasoning. Our server was friendly and attentive, keeping my coffee filled and our waters topped off. Overall, it was a decent breakfast spot -- friendly service and good food, though a little more attention to flavor (and maybe a decaf option) would make it even better.

We ordered 2 Loco Moco and this has been one if best Loco Moco's I have had. Perfectly cooked eggs to order, hamburger patties tender and juicy, gravy light taste homemade not the dark packaged da kind and ono Mac salad. Da Best do far!!

4.5 stars I ordered Hawaiian style beef afritada and it was good. They put a lot of beef, and the sauce was slightly strong in flavor, it's a tomato base stew. The banana lumpia was very good. My husband ordered garlic shrimp and we didn't realize it was a fried coated shrimp with garlic topping but otherwise it was delicious. The calamansi juice is good it was refreshing and you can taste the calamansi ( not watered down). Our food came promptly. And the waiter was very attentive. The ceiling is decorated with big fans. The restaurant is open I think no AC but with fans. This location is in the 2nd floor of a strip mall. It has elevators if you don't want to use the wooden stairs. The mall has a lot of shops and it was pretty busy with tourists and families and children. It had plenty of parking.

Decided to go to KD based on rec from a few and the convenient local in Poipu. Saw the reviews and thought it looked reasonable. BUT...as a bro I couldn't believe they had bbq pork buns! Sesame bean filled balls! SCALLION PANCAKES! Real crispy noodles! We partook in all of the above and some veggie ramen as well. Tastes - after the piping hot dishes came out and cooled a bit - were very good and authentic. Host was cool and attentive. Location on the second floor was nice. This was quite a find here down South. There's one in Lihue but since we pretty much always stay south this will be the place we will go.

We ate breakfast here the morning after we arrived. The food was delicious. I had a spam, egg, and cheese sandwich, and my husband had the ube pancakes. The staff were so friendly. It is an open air cafe which adds to the overall atmosphere and experience.

Service was a bit slow because I think they are understaffed. Food was good and servers very friendly. Love the outdoor vibe and location.

We sat on the patio but they call the main dining room however it is outside. The host and the servers were very nice on both days helping us choose our dishes and beverages. The first night were shared the shrimp and unui (sp?) patties. They were tasty and slightly sweet but over-charred and the sauce served with them did not complement them very well. It needed a fresher sauce or something with a little kick The first night I Had the chicken Which is actually a tiny little bird I should've known from the name. - pouisson. It was well cooked, but there was very little meat on all of the bones. And also needed a sauce of some kind. The one baby bok choy was a nice addition. Two of the group had the fish and chips it was made with swordfish that night and was very tasty. However, the chips were slightly limp and not hot. No one wanted to return them, but they really were not very good. One of the other entrées was the veggie bowl with seared Aji tuna and it had quinoa at the bottom with lots of roasted beets and other vegetables. It was a very good dish. The second time I ordered the grilled seafood bowl because that night they were offering Oppa as the grilled fish on the kebabs/skewers that were served on top of the bowl the seafood was cooked, absolutely perfectly, and it had pickled cucumbers, pickled red onions, slightly cooked carrots, and then regular cucumbers on top of lightly dressed soba noodles. It was a very tasty and hearty bowl. We also ordered a kale, beet and blue cheese salad for the table, but what came out was their strange version of Caesar salad, which has chickpeas on it which of course we did not want. It took them quite a while to bring the kale and beet salad to the table, however when they did, it was quite tasty a combination I would not have thought of on my own The first night we ordered the passionfruit cheesecake which had a strange chocolate crust that was too thick and a very light topping of passionfruit. It was fine, but we would not order it again. The whole restaurant is a nice change from all of the really overpriced offerings in the area. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is professional and fun at the same time.
