Meh at best.... Thursday, September 28th. Our server was miserable, food was warm at best. The pizza took over an hour to arrive and we were told it's because they had to go orders ahead of us. Pretty small place, but packed a ton of good food and some nice beers. Interior is a warehouse and not much but the outside covered patio is nice. They seem to stay busy, as it was packed the whole time we were there and several beers ran out by the time we wanted another round. The employees seemed overwhelmed with the amount of people they had to deal with, as servers were hard to track down and bartenders and hosts weren't all that friendly or helpful. We had a wonderful Father's Day dinner here last week. We sat out on the porch and enjoyed the tasty beer and a cocktail. Our server was delightful and gave great recommendations for what to order, e.g. getting one fish taco (made with fresh mahi mahi) grilled and the other beer-battered. The fries were excellent too. There is an oil shortage on the island so right now fried food is limited to french fries. That's not the establishments fault. My husband opted for the burger and I had the nachos. The cheese was nuked and all of the chips were stuck together dry and inedible. My husband burger was ok. There is a reused oil smell in there. This time I came here, they were out of both light beers which was disappointing. Also most of the employees seemed checked out EXCEPT for Saisha (not sure if I spelled that right). But she ran this place and was literally the only responsive person that helped us with courtesy, a smile, and good service... and I don't even think she was working the bar area, so I just hope she gets our tip. read more

My family's experience and Kauai Island Brewery was wonderful! Each of us started out with a sample tasting of 4 beers which were awesome! Two of use ordered the Tuesday fish taco special and the tacos were wonderful, very flavorful and filling. Another had the pulled pork sliders which she loved. We all tried the barbecue sauce that came with her sliders and it's one of the best I've tasted. I've been to the Kauai Island Brewery on 3 of my 4 visits to the Island and it's a great little place to grab a cold one and have some lunch or dinner. This most recent visit, we made a quick stop to have a beer and appetizer before heading back to Poipu. They are known for being the World's Westernmost Brewery which is reason enough to come check them out. They have 10+ in-house beers on tap and a few rotating beers that change out periodically. There is also a full bar and wine menu if beer doesn't do it for ya. Happy hour is from 3:30-5:30 daily, this is a great time to get drinks and food for A typical bar menu is available with various appetizers along with burgers and other local eats. If you love their beer or if you want a cool t-shirt, they have merchandise for sale and you can take home one of their cool growler cans with your favorite beer on tap. Located in a warehouse style building, this brewery & Grill does well for itself as they are conveniently located right off Port Allen. If you are a sports fan and are traveling from the Mainland, come here to grab a beer, eat some grub and watch your team win! read more

Great food, great beer, and cool atmosphere. Busy-ness come in spurts. After boat tours it seems like it gets a heck of a lot busier. We put our name on the waitlist then went to visit the little stores across the street til we got the call that our table was ready. When we finally got seated we already knew what we wanted. Fish tacos, kale romaine Cesar, spicy fried chicken sandwich, chicken bites, and beer flights. All were delicious. I loved the kale romaine Cesar salad! It was refreshing and the kale was massaged nicely. The chicken sandwich was a little weird only because it looked like the dipped it in the same batter as the fish is dipped in. One of the items I got on my beer flight was a blood orange and lychee cider. Soooo good! Anyway, the fish taco was delicious too. The chicken bites were extremely bland. They should probably salt it before frying...anyway, next go to meal there will only be the salad, tacos, and beer! read more

The coke was flat and am 99% sure my wife's lemonade was just lime margarita mix. On leaving, a waitress w purple hair snidely said 'Excuse you' as I guess I passed too close to her while exiting, which I didn't realize.... I stopped and asked why she spoke to me that way and what did I do other than visit as a paying customer, but she refused to acknowledge me. Ultimately she called me a Karen and disappeared. I have heard that mainlanders are not welcome here on the islands.... It is unfortunate, I agree, that Hawaii has become only about tourism, but I didn't create that... if u r a tourist, don't visit this establishment. You can do pints or tasters. Also have crowlers available and you can fill your growelers here. Best part, aside from the beer was the food. Pub food Hawaii style. It is right along the road to the Harbour, so there can be some road noise and not the greatest view, but still gets some nice sun in the afternoon. The menu is currently digital via a QR code on the table due to Covid and I love that. I think all restaurants should just keep doing that going forward! What our group ordered: Fish & Chips Kalua pork sandwich Fried calamari Pork sliders Beer! (of course) Everything was delicious and their fries got especially rave comments around the table. Wanted to stop by here for a quick beer before moving on to our next destination. An open air brewery/bar/pub stocked with liquor. Lots of locals here which is great. Don't know if the open air is good for our beer though. The beers didn't stay cold for long or we didn't drink fast enough haha. My wife ordered The Fonz IPaaaaaaaaaa (6.2%). I opted for the Cane Fire Red ale (6.3%). These two beers were more on the hoppy side. Gotta drink em fast. The beers got to room temp quick and became a little harder to drink due to the hoppy-ness. There are happy hours 330-530pm everyday with $.75 chicken wings, small appetizers and some alcohol specials. Chicken wings were meaty but the sauces were just the average BBQ and Buffalo. Other patrons food looked great though. Due to it being happy hour, service was lacking a bit or it could be because we're in Kaua'i and things do move slower here. In either case there was a big group seated right before us and I'll chop it up to that. This is definitely the local watering hole with sprinkles of mainlanders (like myself) dropping in.
