Kayla's Cakes in Fullerton specializes in French macarons made fresh, and they absolutely deliver. We ordered them for our nephew's 1st birthday after my sister decided on a some macarons for the dessert table, and despite not being from Southern California, this place instantly stood out. Macarons are notoriously difficult to make, so we tend to judge them harshly after having had some excellent ones from Paris, including Ladurée. These held their own in a very real way, which is not easy to do. Each macaron had a crisp exterior with a soft interior and light, balanced filling. The flavors were thoughtful, unique, and included seasonal options that made the spread feel special and elevated. While they are a premium dessert, especially the seasonal or larger varieties, they are absolutely worth it for a show stopping table. Out of the two dozen we ordered, I had five and then sent my husband back for three more. No regrets. Service was quick and our few questions were answered. We mostly had an idea of the flavors and quantity that we wanted.

Cute little bakery-cafe located behind a strip mall. Clean interior with aesthetic displays and yummy desserts and drinks. Friends and I were looking for some high quality macarons after coming back from a post-grad Paris trip, and Kayla's Cake turned out to be perfect for that. Here's my lengthy review down here Drinks: iced strawberry matcha, mango orange tea refresher, and dragonfruit lychee tea refresher. So amazing! They all had perfect sweetness (which you can alter) and high-quality flavor. The teas were incredibly refreshing and satisfied that fruit-tea craving, and the matcha boasted of a deep flavor and beautiful dark green color from that of a ceremonial matcha brand. The strawberry mix in the bottom also added a tangy, fruity flavor, and when asked if it's made with real strawberries, the barista said not only is it made with fresh strawberries, but it's also made in house. Another perk: unlike most cafes, Kayla's Cake does not charge extra for alternative milk options, so I chose oat milk. Phenomenal. Pastries: there's a promotion right now where for every drink, they offer a free financier, a mini French almond cake. This was delicious! It was dense yet incredibly moist with a subtle sweetness. I got the sea salt chocolate and raspberry. Would absolutely recommend! It's like a madeleine but elevated. The strawberry croissant was also delicious, with fresh strawberries offering a sweet tanginess in contrast to the thick, buttery custard, and the croissant itself was crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. We also got the brown sugar croffle, an excellent combination of a croissant and a waffle! Perfectly sweet, buttery, flakey, and delicious. Macarons: What we came for. I got the pistachio, fruity pebble, chocolate, and hazelnut Nutella. All had a crispy exterior and a chewy inside bursting with flavor. None were too sweet, and I even bought another box to share with my coworkers. 1000/10. Next time I come (which will be soon!), I'm going for the crème brûlée, which is allegedly their bestseller, and the limited Dubai chocolate macaron and a macaron ice cream sandwich! All in all, my friends and I were not disappointed in the slightest during our visit here. We will for sure be back!

Yummy! I was craving some pastries today and was looking to have something delivered. Here's what I ordered and thoughts: * Strawberry Banana Croffle: Delicious! Anything with banana and strawberry.. and waffles... Ilove. Not too sweet but definitely satisfied my craving. I ordered specifically for this and the photo of it online. * Strawberry Croissant: an easy favorite. Soft pastry with the perfect amount of custard and strawberries. Also not too sweet - just right. Oh and there was a surprise in the bag - a small taste test square of a chocolate cake. Thank you!

It's a cute space. Parking is MINIMAL, 6ish spots, past the main plaza/st. Down a side residential st, could park residentially. Seating is like 3 tables, 3 chairs each inside, I think two tables outside, 2 chairs each? They serve drinks + pastries. The macarons are good. Particularly liked the seasonal caramel apple. They were all pretty good.

The cakes and drinks here are amazing , the customer service by one of the managers needs improvement . I only had cash and was trying to pay my cake with a 100 dollar bill . The manager walks up to me, ignores my hello , grabs my bill, checks it and walks away . The cashier was supper friendly tho .

My best friend was having a space themed baby shower and we were trying to figure out what to give as favors. We landed on a dessert (either a cake pop or macaron) and decided to go with the Galaxy Caramel macarons from Kayla's and I'm so glad we did! I called to order a little over a week in advance and with the size of my order (7 dozen) they recommended that I email their management to get a custom quote. I found out that they could individually wrap or package 2 macarons in favor boxes ($1 per box) and we went with the latter. I was able to pay the invoice 24 hours ahead, and when I went to pick up, the macarons were packaged in a large lovely box with cooling packs inside to ensure freshness. My event was the following day so I was able to refrigerate them, but I thought this was a nice touch. Before I left I ordered a Hibiscus Yuzu iced tea and an Oreo Cheesecake macaron, both of which were delish! The macarons were hit and everyone kept asking me where I got them! I'm so glad we went with Kayla's Cake and I would absolutely use them again in a heartbeat.

Grabbed a quick dessert at Kayla's today and it was satisfying! Had their Vietnamese iced coffee, crème brûlée and raspberries crème macarons. Perfectly delicious!! Thai was so helpful and knowledgeable! Beautiful ambiance bakery too!

Enjoyed everything about this shop. The macarons, coffee and matcha have a healthy amount of sweetness and flavorful. The shop is so classy, clean and modern. Thai and Myriam are sweet and helpful....great service overall. Can't wait to try their Red Velvet cake.

Macarons here are amazing!! They have so many flavors to choose from and the store front is so cute. I ordered 12 which they placed in a long box for me. The snickers one was surprisingly SOO good (I'm not a huge fan of snickers). The earl gray and Oreo were also so amazing. The pistachio one was a little artificial tasting and not nutty enough. The texture of the macarons were amazing though, the filling inside was creamier and softer than other macarons I've had and outer shell was perfect. Great gift idea!

Cute little dessert shop where dedicated parking is available; making it easy to hop in, pick up sweet treats, and hop on out. Inside is bright and modern. Framed by large glass windows, their bakery is visible behind the ordering counter. Small tables and bar height seating are scattered throughout the space. THE FOOD. - Dulce De Leche Buttercream Macaron | Crisp outer shell with a milky, buttery caramel interior. Cool little skull graphic on front! Recommend trying this out. - Galaxy Caramel Macaron | Crisp outer shell with a caramel center. Tasty, but I like the Dulce De Leche Buttercream macaron more. - Birthday Cake | Moist sponge cake with layers of strawberry jelly, vanilla bean custard cream, and rainbow sprinkles. It was good, but I didn't enjoy the strawberry jelly so much. - Portuguese Custard Tart | Crispy, flaky layers with a custard center. Nicely done, I would order this again. THE DRINKS. - Caramel Macchiato | Warm and toasty with caramel drizzled above a foamy top. The macchiato wasn't too bold. Love! Recommend trying this out. COMING BACK? I live pretty far from here, but if I'm ever in the area, I'd love to come back and try other desserts!

Offering a selection of tasty bakery items and drinks, Kayla's Cake offers two locations to get their dessert goods. This, their Fullerton location, is located at the end of a residential neighborhood and has a chic but decidedly industrial feel to it. From the gated lot to the minimal tables to the huge industrial kitchen visible in the window when you enter, you get the feeling this location is less about Starbucks-style walkups and more about creating product to be sold here and at their Downtown Disney location. The desserts and drinks though are tasty. The pumpkin spice latte had just the right amount of flavor, not too much, and wasn't overly sweet. The creme brulee came frozen, which they said helped them sell it at both Fullerton and Downtown Disney locations. After defrosting, it had a great, ice cream like taste but the top was not crackable like a regular creme brulee. The macarons came in a bunch of different flavors like oreo, vanilla, earl grey, creme brulee, dulce de leche, and more. We got nutella and oreo, both were tasty. Not too sweet but had the blend of nutella and chocolate.

Bottom line= cleanest place I've seen with good food and fantastic service. Location not ideal Kayla's is off of a beaten path. Behind a sliding gate, this is a gem off a place that's not in an ideal location. Place is SUPER CLEAN. well decorated and d visually appealing establishment Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Although the speed of service wasn't quick, quality of food and service was there For pumpkin spice latte crème brûlée and macaroons. All 3 items we got were top notch. My wife who is a connoisseur of anything pumpkin ended up taking half of my drink. Highly recommend this Kayla's if you have the tim

8.0/10 I recently visited Kayla's Cake, known for their French macarons, so I had to try them. I got: Pistachio $2.75, Nutella Milk Chocolate $2.75, Affogato $2.75, Belgian Dark Chocolate $2.75. Didn't find a favorite but they're all good. Each macaron has a perfect, delicate shell with a slightly crisp exterior and a soft, chewy center. The texture is spot-on. They offer a variety of flavors, there's something for everyone. The flavors are not overly sweet, however, I did think the flavors could have been a bit stronger, as they were a tad mild. I liked the presentation of the macarons behind the glass display, it was cute, however, I wish they had better packaging. I bought a few as a gift for my boyfriend's parents and they just gave them to me in a paper sandwich bag. While these macarons are good, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come here again due to the mild flavors. It's definitely better than Sugared by Roses, but I think Honey & Butter Macarons and Ladurée are superior to Kayla's Cake. I hope they consider eco-friendly initiatives in the future, as I didn't spot any specific sustainability practices or see any mention of them on their website. They're a standalone store with a small free parking lot. Service is friendly! There's some inside seating, but no outside seating. There was no wait when I came on a Friday around 3 PM. They have standard pricing compared to other local places for their macarons, so for the quantity and quality, I'd say they are fairly priced.

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / April 25, 2023

There's one table outside with 2 seats. Table is enough for 2 people if they are just eating and chatting, maybe just 1 person if they're doing work. It is covered. Not heated.

Is this a good spot to camp out and do work? Are there outlets and WiFi?

Yes it's all super cute and lots of seating areas. ! I saw outlets yes :) I'm sure they have Wi-Fi .

They wrote down my order (I got 4 different flavors) and I was set to pick up. The day I picked up my cupcakes, I noticed they looked different from the online pictures (but whatever, they still looked cute). I also noticed they gave me a wrong flavor (I ordered chocolate whiskey and they gave me caramel something instead). I made the mistake known to the cashier but she looked so confused and said "yeah.. thats the chocolate whiskey" which it clearly wasn't because there was caramel slathered on top and did not match the online description and the in person display. I showed the cashier the description and referenced the in person display and the cashier still seemed confused and said "yeah... thats the chocolate whiskey. What would you like me to do?" And I had to spell it out for her and say "take these caramel ones out and replace them with the ones I ordered" and had to point and all and the cashier just said "oh okay." It was super weird and frustrating. Anyways, taste wise- the alcohol infused cupcakes don't really have a flavor of alcohol and the batter kind of tastes like the box mix. It has a cozy café feel that's great for catching up with a friend or taking a small break during the day. The staff was friendly and efficient, and even though there was a steady flow of customers, the line moved quickly. This visit, I tried the seasonal S'mores Frappe, and it honestly surprised me. I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was much more balanced than I anticipated. I actually ended up liking it more than Starbucks' version because you could still taste the chocolate and graham cracker flavors without it feeling like a sugar overload. I also picked up a few pastries. The S'mores Pastry was my favorite--it had great chocolate flavor, and the little dollop of toasted marshmallow on top was such a fun finishing touch that tied everything together. The only surprise was the Croissant Donut. It has a tangy lemon filling, but that wasn't mentioned in the name, so it definitely caught me off guard. If you're expecting a classic cream or custard filling, just know there's a citrus twist inside. It's not bad by any means, but I wish it had been labeled more clearly so I knew what to expect. Overall, Paris Baguette continues to be one of my favorite bakery chains when I'm craving pastries and specialty drinks. Between the welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and seasonal menu, it's always worth stopping in to see what's new.

I had never tried Botox before in my life, but I decided to get it for the first time yesterday as well. I don't think the results have shown yet, so I'm planning to post a review once they do. Since we were already in Orange County, we stopped by a bakery at the Source Mall. I bought several pastries there. The fresh cream bread was very delicious. I didn't try the custard cream bread because my younger brothers ate it, so I can't really comment on the taste. I also haven't tried the pecan pie yet. Lately, Dubai chocolate cookies have been extremely popular and trendy, so I asked whether this bakery had them. They said yes, so I bought one for $6.75. However, when I tried it this morning, it was absolutely not a Dubai chocolate cookie. It was basically just a chocolate pie. There was no pistachio flavor at all, and no pistachios inside--just a very ordinary chocolate pie. That part was extremely disappointing. Also, yesterday I asked the bakery if they could provide paper plates so we could cut and share the pastries, but she said they didn't have any. Other bakeries usually provide paper plates, so it was disappointing as well.

I drive all the way from LA to Fullerton just for this coffee…read more With all the coffee shops we have in LA, there's only one reason I make the drive to Fullerton. Their Tiramisu Coffee. It was amazing the first time I tried it, and somehow it's just as good every single time I go. The cheese foam on top isn't too sweet, salty, or heavy. It's smooth and creamy, but it doesn't overpower the coffee at all. And the cookie that comes with it? Dip it into the cheese foam. So, so good. The coffee itself isn't too sweet or bitter. The latte is just really clean, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Tiramisu coffee can sometimes be way too sweet and heavy, but this one is nothing like that. That's why I always order two. I drink the first one there, nice and slow. A little cookie dipped in the cheese foam, a sip of coffee, another bite, another sip. I mean, I drove all the way from LA to Fullerton. Why would I rush it? And the second one? That one comes back to LA with me. Because I need it for that wonderful 5 Freeway traffic. When traffic starts getting ridiculous and I can feel myself getting annoyed, I take a sip of my Tiramisu Coffee and think, "Okay... it's fine. Just take your time." And suddenly life is a little better. So yes, I always order two. One is for happiness. The other is to keep me from losing my mind on the 5 Freeway. Maybe I'm a little crazy for driving from LA to Fullerton just for a cup of coffee. But honestly, the coffee that keeps making me do that might be even crazier. Do you know how many coffee shops there are in LA? And still, out of every Tiramisu Coffee I've tried, this one is easily my #1. Actually, forget #1. I'm just going to say it. I honestly don't think there's a better Tiramisu Coffee anywhere. Sip & Savor Coffee, please open a location in LA. It would definitely make my life easier because I wouldn't have to drive all the way to Fullerton anymore... But then again, I might miss having my Tiramisu Coffee there to calm me down on the 5 Freeway.
