The music was just right on the volume. The only issue would be is the parking entrance as it turns to the location as it is somewhat wedged in with the Firestone shop beside it. read more

Despite the name, Kazu Sushi Burrito has a good amount of other menu items that are not sushi burritos, so don't let that deter you from trying this place out! I came to get a poke bowl and I was pleasantly surprised! You put your order in through a kiosk, so it's really easy to customize your order, especially if you're ordering a build your own. It did take a while for my order to come out which kind of confused me because for a poke bowl, you don't really need to cook anything, you just need to assemble. But idk maybe they were busier than they looked. The bowl itself was really good and filling. They have a lot of nice topping and sauce options and the price is pretty good for what you get. I absolutely ADORE this place because they make the BEST sushi burritos I've ever had. I was in the area for a work thing and went here two days in a row they're that good! I ordered the poke poke burrito both times with a few things left out. They do have yum yum sauce, but they call it shrimp sauce here. You get two sauces per burrito I believe. Last night my husband and I went for dinner. The lady who took our order was dressed in very dirty clothes and seemed really out of it. As we were eating he noticed he didn't have his phone. He checked the car, the bathroom and when I started calling it we could hear a muffled ring. She had hid it under the counter. When she turned it over because she had to she said "oh, this is yours". There was only one other patron. You'd think she would ask the room if someone left their phone there, especially since we had just ordered. Pretty obvious she was trying to steal it. They do things a little differently here than the first I tried. You have to fill out a paper to submit your order. Which is fine. But there were hardly anyone there and service was so slow. My bowl wasn't as good as last time either. Just your typical tuna poke bowl. Then after she prepared my bowl, she asked for it back and said she gave me someone else's. But I watched her make my bowl and I told her it was right. She tried to search for my order on paper & I told her she put it in the trash, so she dug it up. Only to confirm the order was, in fact, mine. No issues with that, you gotta do what you gotta do but I had already waited a long time for it to be made, only to delay me going home with my food just to check it over. Kazu offers a great meal at a fair price and is a business I often frequent when I am in Jacksonville on business. This was my first time at this particular location and I am pleased to say that this location is as good as other locations that I have visited. It was a bit confusing finding this Kazu. The road leads you to the back if the building and you have to ride around to the back, er, front of the building to find the entrance to this restaurant and the other businesses. Inside the staff was friendly and professional and my subsequent meal was enjoyable. I opted for the three proteins and went with the tuna, peppered tuna and salmon. They offer a great selection of toppings, way too many to list. I will say this, make sure you get the seaweed salad as one of your toppings. Another great Kazu location-this time in the TOWN CENTER! I couldn't be more excited! I have stopped by this place weekly and it has been consistently delicious and fresh! I either order a build your own burrito or poke bowl. I love that they have the option for brown rice and that is typically what I get. My favorites are their smoked salmon, peppered ahi tuna and there tuna. My favorite toppings are cucumber, mango, ginger, and edamame which I often top with their yuzu ponzu and yum sauce. Because what's better than yum sauce?! This location has wonderful large windows that take in all of the light and I love the modern design of this location. The food is so great! I loved the Tuna Lovers Poke Bowl. It was loaded with spicy tuna and diced sushi tuna. I felt it could have used another sauce on it, but I would def order again. My husband had a Dancing Shrimp Sushi Burrito and really enjoyed it. My kids split a side of fried rice and an order of dumplings. The fried rice was a really generous size for a side. Really good. This used to be a go to spot but I'm not a fan of the new process where you preselect what goes in your bowl. I get it, but there's more errors. Last time I paid for cream cheese - none in bowl. This time I received a dry bowl with no sauce. How do you miss the sauce step? Both were confirmed to be listed on my receipt so it was employee error. I attempted to call to speak with someone today and couldn't get through. We no longer live nearby so I couldn't go back. Everything has gotten far more expensive for the same amount of food. They no longer have a drink machine, only a cooler with drinks, most of which are loaded with sugar. This place was just ok. The location is great, lots of seating space and clean. But I honestly I had higher expectations for the sushi. I've visited the restaurant off San Jose and I love the sushi there but this time around just seemed bad quality Ordered the Kazu roll (not spicy) and most of the fish was minced..fish typically isn't minced in rolls unless it is spicy.
