This has quickly become our favorite, go-to takeout Chinese place. The strip mall it's in is a bit sketchy, but the inside is well-kept, the order is ALWAYS correct, and the food is often prepared quicker than what was estimated. The staff is friendly and, while it's obvious they're busy, there's never a wait to get your food to-go. I highly recommend the orange chicken and crab won tons. read more

The people here are so nice but the food is so awful. I went here once and it was OK but came here again recently. We ordered two entrées and they were both terrible. I just couldn't figure out how to send them both back and order some thing else that might be OK. So we went home hungry and ate leftovers. 2 stars for decent soup and egg rolls. read more

Ordered takeout on a Saturday after a long travel day. They got everything ready extremely quick and it was all ready to go when we arrived. The pork fried rice was decent and it was the best thing that we had amongst orange chicken and an appetizer platter. read more

This place is awesome! The food here is some of the best Chinese food we've ever had though out the United States. We had some amazing Chinese food in NY and this place is on par if not better. The lunch specials are killer. I got the Chow Mein and my wife got the Almond chicken. Huge portions! We had 3 Tsing Tao beers and the bill total came to about $33... in this day an age that's pretty impressive. Highly recommend and wish them continued success . They've been in business for 45years. Got my first order yesterday through GrubHub. As always, their delivery was excellent, the order correct and the food good. I was disappointed that the shrimp with lobster sauce had a brown sauce instead of the white sauce I expected. But it had an excellent flavor. I will order from them again, but hope they can be more careful in their packing of the order because it was a rather leaky mess. read more

The most flavorless Chinese food I've ever had. I was pretty excited because the reviews looked pretty good, but contrary to popular opinion, this food was terrible. We tried probably 8 different entrees and every single one tasted like cooking oil. Super disappointing. read more

Woohoo! I finally made it back to one of my favorite Chinese Restaurants in the valley... Dragon Palace! It's been many years since my last visit, primarily because I'm on the west side of Phoenix. And Wong's is closer. No disrespect to Dragon Palace! What Wong's offers in its classy digs, Dragon Palace counters with in-your-face classic character straight out of China Town. And considering how long it's been since the last time I dined here, they maintain the establishment very well! The decor, the tables and the floors are very clean. Aside from the eye candy, the cuisine is why I respect Dragon Palace so much. It's authentic, it's delicious, and it's very reasonably priced. Especially when you comprehend how much food is included in the Peking Dinner which I split with a friend. Not everything was photographed for this review because the amount of food on our table was just getting silly. From the Pu Pu Platter (basically every appetizer on the menu) to the Won Tons and the Wonton Soup, we would have had what most would consider a filling meal. But then the entrees showed up. Three of them. All family sized by my standards. There were days of delicious left overs to be had. Not only are the flavors impressive, but the presentation of the Pu Pu Platter was old school awesome! The flame burning at the center of the dish was something I hadn't seen before. And of course, the service was impeccable. Besides being seated quickly, the meal arrived in a rapid (but not too quick) fashion. Drinks were tended to and our server boxed the remains of our entrees faster than you would expect. Must be a common occurrence. I'm happy Dragon Palace hasn't changed from what I remember so fondly. And don't judge this place by the crappy little strip mall it's located in. That's on the landlord. Whoever owns this property is lucky to have this restaurant as a tenant. (How about maybe repairing the parking lot?) I will be back much sooner next time! read more

I've driven by this place 100+ times and finally decided to try it. Sooo glad I did! The food is really high quality, has great flavor, and it's clean inside. They even post all their health reports by the register where you pick up orders. The man who helped me was nice. The orange chicken was crispy, has nice sized chicken inside, very tasty. Egg rolls were delicious. Crab puffs were filled generously and had excellent flavor. The beef fried rice was to die for - perfect balance of oil and "bounce", just right. I highly recommend this spot for your classic American-Chinese restaurant that has good quality, tasty food. read more

Best Chinese food that I've had in years. We ordered the Peking Family meal to-go to celebrate my birthday (Chinese food is my choice every year). Every dish was delicious! Real Chinese vegetables in every dish, egg rolls tasted like a REAL egg rolls, and the meal for 4 would serve at least 6 if not more. I've enjoyed having leftovers. My daughter says it will be there new go-to for Chinese too. read more

I'm so glad I found this place on Yelp in our neighborhood! I grew up eating at Golden Moon (rest in peace) on Van Buren in downtown Phoenix and this is the only place that has come close to being the comforting food memories of my childhood. The eggrolls are on point (both veggie + meat ones), they have delicious entrees and a large menu of offerings made to order and easily customizable. Very friendly and hard working staff hustling about safely with all necessary precautions in place for COVID19. Can't wait for take out again! read more

This place is authentic! I grew up in Los Angeles and downtown China town was a 15 minutes drive. The food is amazing! The last time I had food in downtown China town was over 37 years ago. The soup, appetizers, and the main dishes were so good! We had leftovers that I took them to work. Both my coworkers were amazed at the taste and flavor! That afternoon, I took my Korean coworker/friend to the same restaurant. She also grew up in L.A. County and was pleasantly shocked to eat food that was delicious and authentic! Been looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant to hit up when the craving strikes! Well it hit me on this day and decided to give this place a shot. By far the best Chinese I've had in Phoenix. We dined in and it was a pleasant experience. Great service, kept waters filled and checked on us a few times. Food came out hot and fresh. While here you can hear the cook wiping up our delicious meals. Many people came and went with pick up orders. Of you're in the area and the craving hits I suggest this place. When I moved to Phoenix I tried several Chinese restaurants and none of them were good. I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to find a go to place out here. Then, I found Dragon Palace. Don't let the sketchy shopping mall deter you! Consistently fast, hot, fresh food. You also get huge portion sizes, so you're paying for your lunch or dinner for the next day or two as well. I've always dined in because not only are they quick, but you get complimentary hot tea and little banana fried wonton things at the end of your meal. Hard to describe but they are so good. I've never gotten take out before but they must do well with that too as I always see people coming and picking up food while I am there. Service is always prompt. Sure, you aren't getting any small talk from the servers and they are to the point, but I'm not looking for a drawn out meal when I eat at a place like this. Highly recommend! read more

Crappy. Kept taking a bite thinking it was a crappy bite, but it's all a crappy bite. Even my daughter who loves chicken as her favorite food would rather eat the rice. Very soggy orange chicken and very bland. I went here cz it was highly recommended but this just confirms to me that AZ has the worst Chinese food. The inside tho looks pretty and they gave me two cute different type of cookies. So I'm happy with that read more

So five stars for the food. I will be coming here to order take out. The service, the environment and ambiance is a different story. We came with our baby and we felt so unwelcome. They offered a high chair and it was the most unsafe and annoying high chair I've ever seen. It came with a silver pan tray so anytime she pounded on the tray, it would make this loud sound that bounced off the walls. It was quite annoying and people in the restaurant seemed annoyed too. So we told the waitress we will just order take out, which made us feel more awkward while we waited for our food and service practically ended while the employees just watched us - my hubby sitting down in the booth and me trying to console my fussy daughter, walking in the front of the restaurant. Awkward. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, the shrimp with lobster sauce and house special beef. The food was delicious! The fried rice had whole, tender, succulent shrimps. I was pretty satisfied. I just know I'll be just ordering take out and not dining in next time. read more

I ordered takeout so this review is based on only that. The order of crab Rangoon were sooo tiny and completely flavorless. I do not recommend wasting the money. The general tsos chicken was dry and not seasoned well. I'm used to my general tsos being covered in sauce but there was no sauce at all. The noodles tasted like burnt old oil and also had no flavor. Unfortunate but the workers seemed very friendly! read more

I love love this place!!! As a child my parents brought us here at least once a week. As an adult I live a little further away so trips have become few and far between. Last night my husband suggested we go because I wasn't feeling well and he knows that their sizzling rice soup is my favorite!!! It was so awesome to walk thru the doors and feel like I was back to my childhood, nothing has changed and the best part the food hadn't either still it's great flavor!! Best Chinese food around!!! The food was ok but the service was lacking. They never said a word to us other than asking if we were ready to order. We ordered one of the dinners which came it's wor won ton soup (delicious!!!), egg rolls and chicken wings, pork fried rice, house chicken, and mu shu pork. The house chicken was a mix of white and dark meat and a lot of breading, and the mu shu pork came out already rolled. The soup arrived and then everything came out very quickly afterwards and was awkwardly placed on our table in one corner in the way of everything else. We were constantly rearranging things so we could access our plates. With our check we got a pleasant surprise of sweet and sticky banana wontons. The prices were reasonable and the portions were large as we took home a lot of leftovers. read more

This was my last time giving this establishment my hard-earned money. I'd rather spend it somewhere that values its customers and takes pride in the food they serve.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

You no longer enter through the kitchen but that's okay. It's a quiet little restaurant with fast service and good food. The next time I'm downtown I'll probably stop in again.

I asked for a chef tasting of non-spicy options (the Arai Kodai. Mine came to $67 as I wanted extra tastings). Isaiah asked my preferences then went to town! His dance moves while he entered my order were a great touch! The aroma inside is exquisite! Everything around me looked so fresh! I loved seeing all the food around me. I see why everyone loves the green mango salad (yam mamuang boran). Delicious! So flavorful! Just know not to expect lettuce. The fried chicken was tasty but I wished I had asked for not fried options. That's on me. It was certainly good. Very crispy and flavorful. Next time I would just prefer something more unique than wings. The bok choy with garlic (pad pak twang toong) is so good! Very light and tasty. I asked for a side of white rice to enjoy it with. I ended with Naem Khao Tawt. It was again flavorful and zesty. I would have avoided more crispy and pork with this one but again that's on me. It was still tasty. Next time I would ask for more grilled options and something with beef and noodles. The scallops and buffalo tartare sounded fantastic! Would definitely want those in the future! They were out of buffalo tonight. The dueling brule dessert was so good? I'm particular the purple one! So tart! Really wonderful experience and made new friends while here. Parking is a bit of a nuisance, but after 15 minutes I got lucky and snagged a street spot close by out front. Otherwise, it's either street parking, meter parking or nearby garages. Mango salad - delightful. I could have this for a light meal alone. Stir fried crab - not as great as I'd hoped. There's nothing wrong with it but crab is delicate and sweet but in this sauce that is lost. Noodles w char soy - no. The pork was so overcooked and dry it caused me to find the restroom to spit it out. There's nothing wrong noodles tastes a bit like burnt marshmallows (or I'm having a stroke) All in all a good restaurant with 1 of 5 dishes disappointing. For two people 5 dishes is too much. 4 would be good unless someone's in a GLP1 because they're pretty big.
