This is my second time bringing a car here and I had good experiences both times. Service was friendly but very efficient. Price is excellent. This is a no frills location; don't expect free coffee and cushy seating. But given that you'll probably only be here 15-30 minutes, you can handle it. Fantastic service with a short wait time. I drove from 30 mins away and was not disappointed.

Good service again today. Use Smogtips coupon for $38 total bill. It appears they were taking cards but I bring cash due rules under previous ownership. I bad reviews were under the previous owner and yelp does not update or maintain site unless you pay $60 to $80 dollars per week. I will take the lower prices and ignore the old reviews. The new owner has been very helpful and much friendlier than the original person I dealt with. Very cheap tire store next door and near Welco. read more

If your derriere requires cushions or your skin requires air conditioning, this ain't the place for you! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!! The customer service, sucks! The mechanic, Pancho Marquez, is arrogant, narcissistic, talks over you, doesn't listen and is extremely rude. I have never experienced such horrible customer service and I don't know how they are still in business. The mechanic told his boss to shut up because he didn't know what he was stalking about (in front of me, the customer). When I called the shop to report an issue my car was still having, the first thing Pancho asked was, "You haven't blown up yet?" Who does that? What happened to customer service? Don't waste your time going here, there are so many other shops that will treat you right and provide excellent customer service. read more

Last year, went to this smog check center, thought it was a good price for a smog check for my truck. It tested and came out- and didn't pass... The next day, went to my mechanic that always fixes my truck, and asked why it didn't pass and what repairs it needed. And guess what? He told me that whoever ran the test knew that it wouldn't pass right from the start, when they turned on my truck and before they ran the test. He also told me, if they were HONORABLE PEOPLE, they would have told me to go drive my car for a couple more miles or so. Wow. It didn't even need any repairs, it just needed to run for a bit more because repairs for another problem were made earlier in the week. So of course, I drove my truck a couple more miles, went back to the same station, and guess what? It passed. I paid more than $100 for TWO smog checks. Unless you know for sure your vehicle will pass, don't waste your time here. read more

Absolutely do not go to this ship. The mechanic doesn't know what he was doing. He said my timing was wrong. I took my car to another shop to fix it but the other shop mechanic said that my timing was correct. So I took it back to the KC Smog but the mechanic did not want to listen to me. The other autoshop mechanic told me that the KC Smog did not connect all the wires before the test and he knows exactly what the KC Smog mechanic was doing. So I ended up adjusting the timing so that I can pass the test and go back to the auto shop to put the timing where it supposed to be. I ended up spending extra money for changing the timing as well as EFT cost twice. There are many other confident smog mechanics in the area. Do not waste your time and money. read more

At first, I made nothing of it but i have had two consecutive bad experiences. I fully support Mien business but the owners could do better. He is a detriment to the business and I would not recommend going here unless they change techs. His name was Pancho. I was here 2 years ago and they passed me. I have all the same stuff on my car and they failed me because I had the same air box which they passed me 2 years ago. It is carb legal. They are bad workers and I had to wait so long. They are overpriced compare to other smog stations. read more

so I went to this KC smog just the other day to smog both of my cars... now one was a Honda with after market parts ... the man said I cant do that car cause of the after market parts I am not certified to do so.... now at the time I didn't even think to much about that and just moved onto the next car witch was a ranger truck ...so its in the middle of the test we are just standing there watching the boy test the truck ... test is done truck passed...well he shuts the hood of the truck and all we see is the truck raining coolant from the bottom of the truck!!!! Mind you the truck was running just fine the whole time before the test!! To top that their coupon they have dose not work.. I tried to use one and was told it wouldn't work with no real reason given as to why.. now today I took my Honda to another smog shop and told them I had just took it yesterday to another shop and they told me that I had to go to a place with a certain certification because if the after market parts that I have on my car. The man looked at me and asked the name of this shop and he apologized to me and told me that the person who had said that said it out of laziness because its just a little more work to do as compared to a stock car anyone could have tested the vehicle. read more
