Proper Que! Moist, flavorful and lots of it! Could barely finish! Fun atmosphere, low key with some Kenny Roger and REO Speedwagon playing when I went. I'm not a local, thank god, I'd be three hundred pounds. But will definitely return my next trip to ManchVegas! read more

Sunday 7/9/23...Parking right out front and it wasn't busy. Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated at 5:30 pm although it looked like many seats where open when we finally got upstairs. Got the Barbecubano sandwich which was good but swimming in sauce. Literally 1/4"-1/2" of sauce covering the whole plate, had to use a separate plate from the apps to put sandwich down or would have been a total mess. Slaw was ok, nothing special. My kid had the burger w pulled pork on top, he liked it. Wanted a local beer, asked for a great Northern IPA...was out on tap but they had cans...ok, I'll take the can. Very good beer, "I'll have another one" oh, that was the last can. Thanks. We had 2 waitresses, one super nice and friendly, the other in a pissy mood and didn't come back to check on refills, dessert, nothing so we just grabbed check instead of spending more money. My husband and I used to love going to KC's. The food has always been plenty and very good. The last two times we went the brisket was kinda fatty. We told the waitress and she said that's the best part. Her husband loves the fat. We aren't fans of eating fat, we always trim off the fat at home so we don't want to eat it at a restaurant. We went back again and, again, the brisket was fatty. Unfortunately we haven't been back. Too bad - I used to love that place. Everything else that we had was fantastic. If you can make a reservation, or call ahead, I'd do it. They get busy because they have great food. Their staff is awesome, but nothing beats their BBQ. I am a fan of the Caesar salad with pulled chicken, but bring some friends and get a shovel (literally) full of BBQ'd meats and sides (pork, brisket, chicken, sausage) and you will NOT be disappointed. I lived in Manchester nh for many years. Visit the area a few times a year and recently tried KC's Rib Shack. The girl who took our order was one of the best! She actually connected with the both of is, I felt we bonded! Great personality! We ordered the ribs, and 2 flavors of chicken wings (large ones) with the jerk and garlic Parmesan sauces. The wings were not over cooked or undercooked but they need to work on those 2 sauces as both my friend and myself really didn't taste the sauce. (Please fix this as the wings were perfectly cooked (my friend mentioned she would have liked the wings for crispier as well, just saying). We also had the ribs and absolutely love them. The regular sauce that came with it was the best barbecue sauce I've ever had, and if I could make it, I would! That's my take on this restaurant. read more

I'm super picky about my barbecue and this place was really fantastic. The only thing I would change were the ribs, which were dry. Other than that, the food was really delicious. The pigtails were surprisingly tender and the brisket was top-notch. Pecan pie and Keylime pie were excellent. Also great service. read more

KC's Rib Shack is, by far, the best BBQ place in New England! I've had BBQ in North Carolina, Kansas City, MO, Florida, & Oklahoma & Texas. KC's Is as good or better than any place I've been. It's a fun place to go with friends and family or for business. The service is friendly and excellent. They have a decent selection of Beer on tap. And there's always decent music playing - but not so loud that you can't have a conversation at your table. My only complaint is I wish they would go back to opening for lunch during the week - but they'll get no negative points from me for that. I blame the COVID Scare that destroyed so many businesses, especially restaurants. So I'm happy this awesome place is still going! It's worth it to check it out. I have a friend who comes from the Canadian Border to eat here! Can't wait to go back to KC's! read more

Atmosphere: I sat outside, very nice touch. They accomplished what they were looking for: Key West feel. I didn't even see a sign and felt like I was walking in Florida. Whether or not that's a good thing is up to you, I personally had my share of huts, surfboards, and ugly pink and turquoise growing up. And I turn around and see a barn behind me. Why not? 4/5 Brisket: This is a serious topic and what matters the most. Piled high but average. Brisket should be moister. Like most pitmasters it came with two sides, which I opted for the chili. Again, average. The food quality, quantity, to cost balance isn't too bad. 3/5 Booze: $5 margarita. Nothing special other than the cost. Did the job. Wine was $10 so I said screw it I'll take the carbs. 3/5 Overall, have to give 3/5. I want to come again because of the high reviews and I know that the quality of bbq can vary by day. It's a Monday night, so I'm assuming they're just not warmed up for the week yet. No regrets coming. read more

BBQ is good, atmosphere is nice. Only complaint is that the lemonade isn't fresh squeezed. I asked if it was real, not from the fountain, and they said yes. Then my followup question was if it was fresh squeezed, and they said yes. However, after tasting it, it was clearly made from ReaLemon. You can taste the difference. I called them out on it and they admitted and asked me how I could tell. Ended up switching the a root beer instead. read more

A bbq place and tiki cocktails all in one??!! It's strange but it works. Amazing bbq and amazing drinks. The back patio has an amazing tiki hut - be warned that if you're not sitting at the bar the chairs don't have backs. The bubba bucket is a specialty - you can get any of their drinks in this large 32oz format served in a sand bucket. It's super fun and the drinks are very good and boozy. The bbq is amazingggg. The ribs and pulled pork are a must. You also have to try all of the bbq sauces - my personal favorite is the apple bbq one (it tastes just like apple pie!) Will definitely be back for more drinks and lots of bbq. I just wished they had mac 'n cheese :( read more

Before you go here, make your reservation on their web site. They have mastered this process. The building on the outside is nothing special. Parking can be an issue although plenty in adjacent lot. What captures your imagination is the inside. The employees are very welcoming as you feel like you have stepped back in time. This barn has been decorated in such a way it is very welcoming. Additionally, the service and food was beyond expectations. If you are looking for great ambiance, excellent service and excellent food, look no further. Tried KC's for the first time this week and I'll definitely be returning. The wings (app) were tasty and just the right amount of crispy and the BBQ was awesome.
