We went last night expecting that no place could live up to these reviews. And Boy were we Wrong. The staff handled our reservations perfectly making sure we had seats my wife could negotiate. We got waited on promptly and politely. The place was clean and everything we needed as far as sauces go were brought to the table But then the food came and we were floored. The pig tails? Never been but always wanted to go. Impromptu and taking a chance with my wheelchair bound son in tow we went for early dinner (4:30pm on Sat 8-10-2024). No reservation and we were seated at table for 4 immediatly. Plenty of room at the table for the wheelchair. However, could have used more room for the plates of food we ordered. In KC's defense, we purposly ordered extra to take home with us. One suggestion, love the entrance doors to the joint, however, that gap between the ground and the treshold was difficult to get over. Even with the power wheelchair. Might want to look into that. Very inexpensive fix, I promise. Keep up the great work and fantastic service KC. We will most certainly be back soon. read more

This is the real deal! KC's Rib Shack serves up great BBQ in an authentic roadhouse. If you're on a diet, a vegetarian, or counting calories, then this place is not for you! The menu offers plenty of delicious BBQ meat options. The ribs here are pretty good! The pulled pork is juicy and tangy. My buddy and I enjoy the Rib Shack after a long day at work. The bar area/dining area is dimly lit and the wood walls and rafters are decorated with old license plates, framed music pictures, and guitars. They have live entertainment on some nights. It's seat yourself at a table or at the bar with waitstaff service. There's an assortment of BBQ sauces and paper towels at each table. The prices are fair and the portions on the BBQ pladdas are very generous. The Fried Pickles are a good appetizer, but my buddy still loves the Fried Pickles at Penuche's the best. If you're very hungry, then try the biggest entree they offer, The Mondo Combo: a HUGE pladda of ribs, sausage, chicken, pulled pork with choice of 3 sides, WOWSA!!! I ordered that and took much of the food home. For the smaller appetite, sandwiches and burgers come with 1 side and pickle, a good modest portion for the average person. I had lunch here on 10/24. We sat downstairs, we were socially distanced from other tables well, staff were all wearing masks appropriately so I felt safe. Food was good, we had ribs a salad, corn bread and chicken wings. Sides were baked beans and coleslaw, the latter of which was exceptional. Food is served on plastic plates with plastic forks and knives, i was disappointed with that. Also, the place is exceptionally dirty... the windows had layers of dust, dead bugs and cobwebs. If the dining room is dirty, what does the kitchen look like? Our service was really fantastic, staff were attentive, food arrived quickly and check out was easy. We ordered the QQ Pladda which was a variety of meats like pulled pork, brisket, sausage and ribs. The pulled pork was so good it didn't even need sauce, which is super rare!
