Food is great, as it is at the Del Cerro location. Service is spot on. Great happy hour prices! Great beer selection. The space is nice, as per the photos. This is a great location right next to the 52 freeway in lovely Tierrasanta .

Casual neighborhood spot with great drinks & good food. Friendly staff. Sliders were good as was their grilled cheese sandwich.

    Interior view from the entrance.

This is an awesome new little bistro in the Tierrasanta neighborhood. We came on a Friday evening and it was jam packed! Note to self, try to make an OpenTable reservation for weekend nights! Because we didn't have a reservation, we waited awhile to be seated, but it was worth the wait. Our server Jenny was fantastic, especially for how crazy busy they were. The sprouts appetizer was huge and super delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly by my specifications, and was also enormous. The gourmet mushroom flatbread was also wonderful. The ingredients were all very fresh and portions were generous. The draft beer list is high quality and has an extensive selection. You grab any retail bottle of wine that is at least $15 from their shop and pay just $10 corkage. Mondays and Thursdays, no corkage! Wednesdays, all draft beers are $3 off. Daily Happy Hour from 3-5pm with discounts for drinks and appetizers. Superb spot! Definitely give it a try!

Kids Mac n Cheese with Fruit side

First time dining here for lunch with family. The place is very clean and looks trendy. Service was quick and friendly. My son ordered the kids Mac n cheese with fruit as his side. It was a very generous portion, definitely too much for a kid to eat. We got the French dip, Firebird, the Philly Cheese Steak with fries. Portions were great but flavor was lacking unfortunately. Needed more salt on the fries and all of the sandwiches were meh (2.5/5 stars). Bread was the best part.

I've been here and brought friends and family a few times. The food has been consistently good and the service very friendly.

I made two online orders for delivery both were canceled without any explanation. It was a total waste of my time.

Here was my…read moreexperience: AMBIANCE Parking: Hillcrest street parking--can take a minute, but manageable. Seating: Indoor seating and outdoor lounge setup with chairs and tables--very laid back and open. You even get to sit in an island on the road. Vibes: Welcome to the Hillcrest Gay-borhood. Super unique. It's a coffee shop + plant shop + cigar lounge hybrid, which gives it a really relaxed, community feel. Definitely not your dark, moody cigar bar--this is more daytime-friendly, approachable, and welcoming. It feels like a spot where you can casually hang, whether you're new to cigars or already into them. DRINKS / EXPERIENCE They've got a curated selection of premium cigars ranging from beginner to more experienced options, plus coffee, beer, and wine to pair with it. CUSTOMER SERVICE Isiah was dope! He was friendly, welcoming and knew his stuff. TL;DR OVERALL 4 Stars. Solid experience. Good range from cigars to the type of ambiance you're trying to take. A refreshing take on a cigar lounge. More casual and community-driven than traditional spots, which makes it super approachable. Great if you want to ease into cigars or just enjoy a relaxed hang in Hillcrest. TIPS: * Ask about cigar + drink pairings--they lean into that

AMBIANCE Parking: Hillcrest area--street parking, might take a minute depending on the time. Seating: Multiple lounge-style areas--couches, chairs, even a pool table setup. Plenty of space to spread out and hang. Good for small groups Vibes: Welcome to the Hillcrest Gay-borhood. It's an eventful place from good eats to bars. This place leans heavy into that speakeasy / vintage lounge feel--dim lighting, moody atmosphere, and a slightly cinematic vibe. It almost feels like stepping into another era. DRINKS / EXPERIENCE They've got a solid selection of wine, beer, and cigars, and the humidor (cigar storage room) is stocked with a variety of options for different preferences. Even if you're not a cigar expert, the staff is known to help guide you toward something you'll actually enjoy--which makes it approachable for both beginners and regulars. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and knowledgeable. Rocky was pretty helpful. TL;DR OVERALL 4 Stars. Solid selections and pleasant vibes. I'm not into the cigar culture but it looks like a unique spot in San Diego. Great for a chill night out, especially if you're looking for something different from the usual bar scene. TIPS: * Take your time--this isn't a rush-through spot * Ask for recommendations if you're new to cigar

But as soon as i walked in, I knew I was in for a gem and it didn't disappoint. I had such a great experience at Cigar Cave! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home. They were fun and totally added to the vibe of the place, even if they inserted themselves into our conversation. Their energy was part of some really dope vibes and good fun! The selection of cigars they recommended based on the flavor profiles we described was spot-on. They have hundreds of cigars as well. Close the door when you enter and exit to keep the cigars fresh. They also serve beer and wine in cool glasses, which was a nice touch. The place has a low-lit, smokey, and had an edgy vibe that just screams chill. The decor is really unique and adds to the overall ambiance. Plus, they'll even change the TV to whatever you want, so you can kick back and enjoy your time however you like. It's super comfy and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this spot to others but not too many because I want to make this part of my monthly routine. If you're in Hillcrest and want a laid-back, fun place to grab a cigar, this is it!

Reservations are encouraged but not mandatory as I saw numerous people get in as walk ins before my reservation. Walk-ins are seated at the bar and limited to 1 hour. For reservations they do not seat early even if you check in early. No dress code, saw people with tube tops and flip flops. They sell lots of different types of alcohol in their store. I purchased a $33 bottle of Amaretto that said it had a cookie essence. Bar Entry: The hostess will check ID and then you sit or stand on the platform and it slowly spins you around to the inside. Bathrooms are on the left and exit on the right. Our server was great and listened to what we wanted in a drink and offered options. Tried: Amuse $4 - we were celebrating a birthday so these were offered as birthday shots. Amaretto sour $18 - very good. Smooth and not too strong. French kiss - very strong. Didn't like this one. Mint mojito mocktail (aka dealers choice) $11 - this was so good and refreshing. I love the atmosphere inside. We were seated in throne like chairs which was very cool. A good speakeasy spot to take friends and dates!

We made a reservation and although we arrived on time, we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. I agree with some of the other commenters when they say that the revolving fireplace needs some love. It has the look and feel of needing to be updated. Also, for it to be a "speakeasy" vibe, you could hear the loudness of the bar through the walls. It just kind of ruins the facade a little bit. Regardless, we enjoyed the novelty of being slowly admitted to the speakeasy on the opposite side. We were given seats and upon first glance it was a dark lit space with an old fashioned aesthetic. I was surprised to see how casual everyone was dressed- I assumed there was a dress code, but I guess flip flops made the cut ‍. It took a few minutes for our server to attend to us, and when he did you could tell he was slammed. We just didn't get the table side manner one was hoping for an establishment like this. Peeking at their drink menu, I found myself disappointed that much of their options had a lot of sweet or fruit juice ingredients. So, I went for their old fashioned. For the price, it was just okay. Another disappointing moment. In all, it wasn't terrible, but it just isn't worth the hype. Overpriced and mediocre drinks and a seemingly overworked staff didn't make for a memorable experience and ended up not being for us. Glad to have tried it...but look elsewhere if you've actually been to a speakeasy. This just doesn't live up to what it's trying to sell you.
