Neighborhood Mexican Restaurant located in a small shopping strip mall. Lots of parking. Ambiance was very typical decorated with the Mexican Theme. We were 10 in our group and got there around 3pm on a Saturday. We were seated immediately since it was not a busy hour. We ordered lots of different dishes from Guacamole, Queso Fundido, Veggie Fajitas, Chicken Fajitas, and more. Plus Margaritas, Palomas and other Alcoholic Beverages Service was super fast for us being a large group. Food plates were really big, we didn't know they were shareable portions so we ended up taking food home. Great flavor in each dish, tasted very Mexican and not spicy.

We came to Tierrasanta restaurant because we were in the area and wanted a good Mexican dinner. Based on the great Yelp reviews we stopped in and it did not disappoint! This is an unassuming Mexican restaurant in a strip mall in the small neighborhood of Tierrasanta. I have been in the area many times and never looked twice at this place to be honest. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff who quickly sat us in a comfortable booth (my favorite). They offer a large menu with all of the traditional Mexican dishes you expect and hope to see. I judge a restaurant by their chips and salsa and the chips were crispy and salted, and the salsa had a perfect amount of spice. And the Cadillac marg was blended to perfection. I was immediately pleased. We ordered the Queso Fundido appetizer- as we do whenever we see it offered- and it was sooo good! A large portion of melted cheese topped with chorizo and served with fresh tortillas. (We found out they get them fresh from a local tortilleria.) I ordered the flautas and my husband had the Carnitas. Both were very flavorful and delicious and portions so big we took half of our dinner to go. We ordered flan for dessert and for me it was just ok- did not taste homemade and was more dense like cheesecake. I probably wouldn't order again. But not a deal breaker by any means, and my husband loved it. We were served by multiple staff members throughout our dinner and everyone was very friendly and kind. We will definitely be returning to Tierrasanta when we're in the area and I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! Mil gracias a todos!

We had a delightful lunch at Tierrasanta Mexican Restuarant. All our meals were delicious. The food is well seasoned, and is traditional San Diego style Mexican food. The entrees were spot on and the rice and beans were tasty too. The portions are generous. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. They kept our glasses filled and were happy to bring more salsa and chips. Both the red and green salsas were just the right level of spicy.

Excellent food. Nice staff and a popular place for locals to meet that is close by. The food is delicious. Great sauces on the dishes and tasty salsas. They have a few types of salsa , mild , spicy and green salsas. Carrots & jalapenos are complementary with the chips Great daily specials . They have been there for years which is a testament that they are good.

The food here is amazing!! Highly recommend the Arroz con pollo!! The servers here were also very nice, and very accommodating. Inside is decorated very simple but appropriate. This little hidden gem in Tierrasanta would be a place I would come back to and bring some friends.

My family has been going to Tierrasanta Mex for years and it has always been of high quality. The food is great, anything you get will be good. The staff are very friendly and almost feel like family. The place is always lively and very nicely decorated. A great place to eat overall.

Great Mexican restaurant. I got the enchiladas a la crema and it was delicious also a big plate and very nice service.

This is a pleasant looking Mexican restaurant off the beaten path. In a strip mall near the 52, we stopped in for dinner. The menu has many, many choices for both drink and food. I opted to have a white sangria that came with strawberries in the glass. It was very good and refreshing. The margaritas came in 2 different sizes and were enjoyed by those who ordered them. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. It came with a very small amount of guacamole and didn't have any sour cream or salsa. The shrimp were big and many. The tortilla was way too small for having any more than one shrimp at a time. The peppers could have been cooked a bit more and there could have been more sautéed onions. It was good, but not outstanding. My husband had the Camarones tierrasante. The shrimp were big and the bacon was crisp. This was a great combination. It was really good. The service was very good. The server came quickly and took both the drink order and food order without writing anything down. The amazing thing was that he got the order right! He brought out the drinks immediately and the entrees came a reasonable amount of time later. We had a good meal in a nice restaurant.

There's bar seating, indoor tables, and patio tables as well. Their QR code brings up an online menu, but you can't order off of it. A server ended up coming by with physical menus and we ordered with them instead. They were playing the World Cup match and a baseball game on other screens - really fun to enjoy the energy with other patrons! We also ended up walking around the shop to see all the wines, liquor, beer, and other drinks available. - FOOD / DRINK - Happy Hour deals are great! Chicka-rones: Fried chicken pieces, crispy exterior but the inside was a little drier than I'd like. The sauce was good and helped combat that. Elote Bites: Fun little bite-sized pieces of corn and other mix-ins! Side of Tots: I only wish they had tots available with their wings and fries special! Still, the fried tots here are super crispy so I wasn't upset for long. HH Wine: Their Cab Sauv was just OK, not the best we've had but not the worst. - OVERALL - Definitely see us coming back for casual nights or for game nights!

This one is long overdue--not that they need my review, because by now everyone already knows how amazing this place is. What keeps me coming back is the combination of great music, an energetic vibe, outstanding service, and some of the most creative cocktails you'll find anywhere. Tonight was girls' night out, so we decided to order the prettier, and sweeter cocktails. But don't let the sweet flavors fool you--they are definitely generous with the alcohol. These drinks may taste dangerously easy to sip, but they pack a punch! I don't even remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but honestly, that doesn't matter because the menu changes so often. And that's one of the things I love most about Music Bar. Every visit brings something new, fresh, and exciting to try. Both of my drinks were absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I honestly don't know how the bartenders come up with these combinations, but kudos to the team for constantly pushing their creativity while still making every cocktail incredibly well balanced. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, Music Bar never disappoints. I'll definitely keep coming back to see what new creations they come up with next. Cheers to one of my favorite cocktail spots in San Diego!

I came here again last night with friends and began to check in for our reservation with the bartender (the same bartender who had let me in the last time I was here). He spent a long time inspecting my CA REAL ID before going into the back. He returned and said he can't let me in since he doesn't trust my ID. He said store policy is that they have to be able to feel the imprint on your license's signature, which even he admitted that he could, but it was too faded so he wouldn't let me in. I showed him matching credit cards, Costco membership, and CA DMV mobile drivers license, but he still refused and pleaded ignorance. He gave me my driver's license back and said I'm lucky because he normally keeps fakes (thanks for the empty threat). In reality, he knew my license was legitimate and didn't want to have the cops called on him. This place really needs to update their policies and train their staff better on how to identify legitimate IDs. I'm definitely not gong to bother coming here again and will make sure I recommend others not to come here.

The Break Room - The Only Room I Take a Break In. Tremendous Balls, People!…read more Let me tell you--The Break Room is absolutely fantastic. Incredible name. Beautiful place. When I heard it was a pool bar, I thought we were talking swimming, folks. Brought my red trunks and everything. But no--billiards! Way better. Much drier. Very smart move. You walk in, and boom--TVs everywhere. Sports on every screen. Football, baseball, golf, even one showing curling. Yes, curling. I said, "Is this Canada?" But it was San Diego, and it was perfect. The energy? Electric. Like a MAGA rally but with more nachos and slightly fewer chants. Now the pool tables--wow. Pristine. Leveled like the electoral map in 2016. The cue sticks? Strong. Straight. Tremendous aim. I sank the 8-ball on my third turn. People were clapping. One guy cried. He said, "That was the most patriotic shot I've ever seen." It was. Drinks? Ice cold. Beers from every country, even ones I've put tariffs on. Cocktails? Dangerous. I had something called "The Break Down." Delicious. Very strong. One sip and you start believing you could run the country. (Which I have. Twice.) The food? Classic bar food but next level. Wings that are huge--not like those little flappy ones you get at the sad chains. These are American Eagle wings, folks. The kind of wings that deserve a salute. And the people--salt of the earth. Beautiful people. Great conversations. I told one guy I used to own a football team, and he said, "That explains your arm." Very flattering. Might give him a cabinet position. Final thoughts: The Break Room is where champions unwind. Great games, great drinks, even better company. If you're looking to shoot some pool, shout at the TV, and drink something cold while looking amazing doing it--this is your bar. Would I go back? I never left. They gave me my own locker. Inside, there's a mix of tables and bar seating, and they serve food in addition to having an extensive cocktail menu. The drink menu was definitely the highlight for me. There were so many creative and unique cocktails that really stood out. I'm usually not a huge cocktail person because I don't like overly sweet drinks, and it can be surprisingly difficult to find cocktails that are both original and sophisticated enough to actually sip and enjoy. They definitely nailed that here. I tried several: *Kasato Maru: This was so smooth and absolutely delicious. By far my favorite. You could really pick up the St. Germain elderflower and pear, and the flavors worked beautifully together. Definitely one of my favorites. *Sunomono: This was more liquor-forward, but still incredibly smooth. Definitely a good choice if you want something that lets the spirits shine. *Je Ju: Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me. It had a really unusual flavor that just didn't work with my palate, and my friend wasn't a fan either. I'm usually not one to send a drink back, but the staff was fantastic about it. They happily took it back and made me a completely different cocktail. *Softly Spoken: My friend ordered this one, and it came in a glass filled with small ice cubes. I tried it and thought it was really good, but it wasn't quite my personal preference. It definitely had more of a fruity flavor profile. The food looked absolutely amazing although we didn't eat here this time. There are still so many cocktails on the menu that I want to try so I'll definitely need to come back. The atmosphere is dimly lit, intimate, and full of character. It has that cool, moody feel that makes you want to sit back, sip a cocktail, and stay awhile. And the service was phenomenal from start to finish. Overall, this was such a fun experience. Great atmosphere, creative cocktails, excellent service, and plenty more on the menu I still want to try.
