This review is a quandary for me. I didnt care for the service or the food but the manager was more than hospitable. First off, they dont make their own craft beer. For some reason this surprised me based on the name. So the experience started with me making a bad assumption. I then asked for a beer me u and was told that it was online on the untapped app. By the time the app downloaded I had completely lost interest in having a beer. Just bring me a menu. When I asked I was told that the menu could be out of date. When I finally was brought a beer menu I was informed it was up to date. Had I just had this at the beginning I would have had at least one beer The food was good but not great. My wife had the grilled cheese with brisket. Her complaint was that it was a brisket sandwich with a slice of cheese. It wasnt a grilled cheese with a little meat like expected. We pointed this out when the manager asked how everything was. When the check came he had removed the sandwich from from the bill. We certainly didnt want him to do that. We just wanted him to know our perception. We may give it another try later. read more

From the minute we arrived Justin the manager and Chris our waiter for the evening made us feel welcome. Helpful and very attentive. I came in late night to get a quick drink and she was so accommodating and ever remembered my drink from a previous encounter. I love this place and I love their staff. So my husband and I were looking for a new place for brunch. We saw that Kelly's was new and decided to try it. We are so glad we did. We had outstanding service from Tiffany, Homs, Pat, and Brad. First thank you to our waiter Chestin K. He was very good, attentive and had confidence in what he was doing. My family member ate the chimichangas and the salmon. Solid addition to the local restaurant offerings. We went early on a Friday night, so it wasn't busy. No wait. Wanted to sit outside, but reeked of cigarettes. Service was excellent, our server was very attentive. Tried lots of appetizers, all were good. Favorite was the brisket chips. Had the adult grilled cheese and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were excellent, I will say the grilled cheese was the best restaurant version I have had in many years. The service is excellent, decor has a modern home bar type feeling and the food is delicious. Just check out the menu. It seems as though they smoke their meats in the back. The potato brisket nachos as an appetizer is a must get. They don't just throw brisket on top of half-ass chips, those are homemade chips. The smoked wings- amazing. The bbq club consists of jalapeño sausage and brisket served with jalapeño ranch.. is big enough for a super hungry person or shareable between two people! I went to Kelly's Craft and Tavern on a Saturday night for food and drinks with some coworkers. Huffy was our server and he was fantastic! The food and drinks were good with a large variety. Overall the food service was great, and the food came out quickly and hot. Once our server went home we moved our group outside to the patio. This is where the night quickly turned sour. A party (who were regulars) sitting behind our table complained about us to their waiter. Yes, we were laughing, talking, and having a good time (what do you expect), but we were never harassing (or even talking) to the table behind us. The fact of the matter was that the table behind us thought we were laughing at them (this was not the case at all). Their server JACOB walks up to our table extremely aggressively, cussing and yelling "You are all f**king cut off especially you (pointing to one of my coworkers) you all need to f**king stop harassing my customers." Of course, we asked to speak with a manager, but the manager had clearly sided with his employee and the regulars and basically asked us to leave. The whole way this situation was handled was awful and it is clear that regular customers can harass new ones and get away with it. Also, the regulars were not kicked out, even after they had caused the whole ordeal. I strongly urge anyone new not to go to this establishment because they do not value your business. They would rather have the same customers. To Jacob: Hey dude, I'm not sure if you were having a bad day or something you can't yell at any customers the way you did. I totally understand that you felt like you were sticking up for your regulars (friends) but you really had no idea of the situation. If this ever happens again try to solve the problem in a more professional manner. People will respond better if they aren't being attacked, cussed at, or yelled at. To management: Always remember the customer is right. Listen to your customer with an open mind (listen to both sides). Learn from this mistake and don't make it again. (I'm sure this is not a regular situation, but you handled it poorly.) I do apologize for the bad review, but you need to know and possibly train your employees better to handle these situations more professionally. read more

First time to dine in tonight. Was a bit disappointed. We started out with the Jalapeño Margarita, both were undrinkable. We tried to drink them, but couldn't finish. We let the waiter know. All he could say was I am sorry. It's probable my fault to order a mixed drink in a Craft Tavern. On another note, the restaurant was clean, the decor was nice and the atmosphere was good. Great place! We came here for our car club Meetup. We called ahead and they not only reserved some tables for us, but they also blocked off some dedicated parking for us. That's above and beyond from management. Our servers also did a good job handling the large group without any big delays or confusion. Great beer selection with acceptable prices for full pint pours. Very impressive! We started with a mango cider that was very tasty. The fried pickles turned out to be the HIT of the meal. I've been to this place once before and would have rated it 4 stars. I went on a Sunday evening and it was the worst experience I've had in Frisco and I've lived here for 22 years. We came in and it was seat yourself. The waiter didn't bring menus he just asked what we'd like to drink. We asked if the kitchen was closed and he said "no but it's closing" so we asked for menus. He brought them over and we asked for a cheeseburger with bacon and ordered 2 drinks. The drinks were.... Bad. They just were straight alcohol, you can decide if that's good or bad for you, but they were mixed drinks that tasted like cheap vodka. The waiter was a different story. He had very red eyes, and didn't seem like he was all with it. We kept trying to get his attention but watched as he walked out with a dab (weed) pen and got high. More than once. His business is his business but we were just wanting to get his attention because instead of a bacon cheeseburger he brought us a grilled cheese with bacon. Not even close. We asked another waiter to correct it because we couldn't get our waiters attention. At the end of the waiter asked if we wanted the grilled cheese off our bill and if anything was wrong with it....well it looked good but the wrong this was that we ordered something else that took 20 min after the meal to arrive.
