From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable. Multiple staff members checked on us throughout our meal, kept our drinks topped off, and made sure we had everything we needed. I completely forgot to take pictures of our entrées because they looked so good, and before I knew it, there wasn't a single crumb left on either plate! Everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Thankfully, I remembered to snap a picture of dessert before we devoured it!!!! A hot, fresh-baked brownie topped with ice cream that was nothing short of incredible. It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Throughout the entire time, my service dog was exactly where a service dog should be--quietly lying under the table at my feet, causing absolutely no disruption. After waiting half an hour, I finally asked if we were ever going to be served. That's when we were told the issue was my service dog. When I questioned this, the bartender's response was to tell me I "didn't need an attitude." I've written maybe five Yelp reviews in my life, but this experience deserves to be shared. The way we were treated was humiliating, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. It felt like we were being singled out simply because I have a disability and rely on a service animal. All six of us got up and left because of how we were treated. Small businesses deserve support when they treat people with respect. This business did the opposite. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I sincerely hope no one else has to experience the kind of discrimination we did.

For the food I'd actually give this place 3 stars, with 5 stars for service. However I'm giving this establishment a 1 star for the following: displayed in the entrance is a picture of (mostly black and brown) murder victims from Chicago with a handwritten caption, "Notice A Trend Here?" Avoid this establishment if you find this sort of racism distasteful. read more
