We use love this place. It used to be our choice for Greek. The food was terrible. Yemista was undercooked and microwaved with almonds that were soggy. The tzatziki was not authentic. It tasted like sour cream. The lamb, potato flatbread was bland when it used to be flavored with delicious Greek spices. Service wasn't great. I'm sad because we won't go back. This place has the best Greek food I've ever tasted! I generally don't eat too much of it, but the few times I've had Greek food I've really enjoyed the flavor. However, this place surpassed even those past positive moments, making this place the king of Greek food. Here's what we tried: 1.) Lamb Pita: Unsurprisingly delicious lamb meat with flavors that melt into your taste-buds. They put in a good amount of veggies, but it didn't overpower the taste of lamb and instead was compatible with their amount. Though as yummy as it is, the fries were surprisingly delicious. The seasoning is nothing like I've ever tasted, but whatever it is, it was so addicting, that I had to force myself not to gobble it all up because it wasn't even my dish, haha. 2.) Loukaniko Flat Bread - I saw a picture of this at the counter, and decided to try it out because of how appetizing it looked. I was very happy to realize that the taste matched with its appearance. Every ingredient complimented each other, and this is a pretty good price for something this filling. I was able to bring leftovers home despite sharing several slices with friends. Even as a leftover, my dad thought it was super good. Absolute 10/10 dish. 3.) Yemista with Kalamboki on the side - I was already so impressed with its appearance. It's so adorable to see a tomato being used to store the wild rice in as if it's a little jar! I actually had little faith in this dish at first because I assumed that it wouldn't be that filling to eat just corn with rice and tomato, but they proved me wrong. It was as filling as it was delicious. My friend had to take some home, even! Every single crumb that comes into existence here has so much wonderful flavor, it surprises me with every bite. I just want to live here and never see the sunlight again while eating this stuff everyday. read more

This is probably the only Greek restaurant in Fullerton's restaurant enclave and it consistently delivers on great service, well-executed and tasty cuisine and overall; an excellent customer experience. Their well-curated menu is handwritten on a chalkboard and you order cafeteria-style at the counter. Our go-to dishes are the beef Mousaka, the Manouri flatbread, calamari and beet salad. Parking will be a challenge at certain times of the day, especially the weekends but this restaurant is well-worth the minor inconvenience. Stay away from their octopus appetizer as it's not worth paying over $10 for a piece of tentacle! read more

This location offers outdoor seating, takeout orders, and limited inside seating. The tables were spaced out and they seemed to be seating every other table. If you're dining in, you order at the front and they bring your food to you. All of the staff were very kind and attentive, and they were all masked. They came to my table multiple times to offer refills on our beverages and see if we were doing okay. I came here for lunch and ordered the Freddo cappuccino as well as the lamb chops. I ordered the pork chops cooked standard, medium, and it was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The cappuccino was very strong and bold in flavor. The pork chop plate came with the fries which were also very good.They were similar to garlic fries, and it also came with a side of tzaziki sauce. You order at the cashiers table and they give you a number and bring you your food. Plating, decor and the food is absolutely delicious and modern. Probably the best restaurant in Downtown Fullerton. The Souvlaki with the wild rice is my go-to dish here. Actually, you really can't go wrong with anything as long as you get the wild rice as a side. I've tried the lamb chops, the fish, and all were great with the wild rice side as the star. The wild rice is like long grain rice that tastes like it is cooked in some savory broth, sprinkled with raisins, dill, and feta cheese. It is amazing. read more

Good food, clean & lovely place, nice servers, good prices, what more can you ask for? I recently came here and ordered their Lamb pita with a side of beet salad (cost extra). Their Lamb pita comes with Friseè, marinated veggies (onions, carrots), arugula, feta cheese (I asked for no cheese). I especially loved the beet salad! Got a lamb pita and was very disappointed with the very very cheap portion of lamb. It was basically a salad stuffed inside bread. They said it came with fries and the not real friendly girl working the counter said I could substitute with the Greek salad instead of fries. She didn't say it would be $3 more I just happened to see it on our bill. So for $20+ dollars I got lettuce, tomato, bread and a pinch of lamb. Very profitable for them. I left hungry. read more

The food is always good since we have been coming here for years. We love the pitas, the lemon chicken soup, and the frozen yogurt on a hot day. I will say that as their prices have risen over the years I have noticed the quantity (mainly in the pitas) has gotten smaller. My main reason for the 3 star review was my experience with ordering online. I placed an order for two pitas and found that the price was $18 compared to the $16 posted on the menu when I arrived to pick it up. I would've given a fifth star if they would start ordering and serving table side. I don't like having to order at the counter. But that's just me, it's not a bad thing. The Kentro Greek Kitchen is located on the edge of the strip of restaurants and shops at Fullerton Downtown. Like many of the shops in this area, their decor is on point. Kentro has a modern cafe themes colored in black and white and large blackboards with their menu on it. The counter contributes to the cafe them with the coffee machine behind the register. Their bright focused lights gives bright vibes even at night and provides nice lighting for the food that they present. After deciding what we wanted to order, we decided on The Beet Salad $12, Octopus $14, Paithakia $24, Loukaniko Flatbread $14, Psari Tiganito $19, Loukoumades $7, Galaktobouriko $5. (Party of 5) The Beet Salad is composed of primarily beets with a sprinkling of cheese, pecan, and figs. The Beets were covered with a thin coating of a sauce that gave a pop of acidity which was then immediately taken over by the sweetness of the beets. The pecans gave a bit of a crunch to the dish and the beets were cool and firm. The Octopus was soaked in an acidic sauce with some red onions and had a nice soft texture and wasn't rubbery. However it did have a very small chlorinated taste that was near undetectable. Additionally, the portion was a bit small. The Paithakia came with a set of kentro fries and tzatziki sauce. The cashier asked whether we wanted our lamb, rare, medium, or well done and we asked if we could get medium rare but they said they couldn't. Regardless, we got the medium lamb and the flavor was good but it was a bit chewy. The fries, however, were perfect. Those shoestring fries had an amazing texture. When you bite into those fries, you get a nice crisp outside that disappears into a soft and smooth inside. The flavor was also great as it was mixed with butter and some sort of herb that I don't know the name of. The next dish to come was the psari tiganito which was their pan seared fish with a side of corn, lemon, and tzatziki sauce. The pan seared fish had a nice crust but was a little dry on the outside and didn't have much flavor without the sauce. The corn though, was sweet. The Loukaniko Flatbread was a pretty well done dish. On the the Flatbread was sausage, feta and manouri cheese, mushrooms, and large chunks of tomato. I thought the combination of cheese created a really great creamy feel which combined well with the acidity of the tomato and the slight sweetness of the sausage. The Loukoumades is a dessert with fried balls of dough, vanilla ice cream, and a drizzle of honey and karithi dust. The doughnuts came out warm and I thought that the dish was great. (my family thought it didn't have much flavor though they didn't scrape up the honey and Karithi dust onto the dough balls) The Galaktobouriko was like a layered and flaky pie. It had a very mildly sweet custard filing topped with a sweet honey drizzle. Overall, it was a well thought out dish. For me, this place comes so close to being 5 stars. I think this place does all of its dishes well, besides a few small errors. Nothing completely "wowed" me but I do recognize that everything they do is done well and is probably the best in the current area. read more

My husband got the chicken slouvaki with fries. Best fries ever!!! The service was top notch - everyone was so friendly and attentive. They were so helpful and made great suggestions. I am a regular here and I decided to bring my mom for Mother's Day. I do not regret that decision at all! Paulette, the manager, was so kind and attentive to my dietary restrictions (as always) and I appreciate her service everytime I come! She is so fun! Amazing food! However, the service is does not match the quality of the food. So sadly, the 3 stars are for the service. The workers, like I have read in other reviews, are awkward and have an attitude. We were never asked if we need a water refill or if we need anything while we were eating. I went on Super Bowl Sunday, and the worker at lunch time acted so inconvenienced by a few of questions while ordering. She had tattoos all over and plug earrings.
