He was kind, knowledgable and took extra time with our furniture to prevent any kind of damage; evening loaning us some blankets (free of charge!) while our things were in storage units. He genuinely cares about his customers, their stories and their journey's. Even when my schedule was variable due to ABF drop-off times, he adjusted accordingly and came right as the trailer was being dropped off, no questions asked. He and his team stay until the job is done without complaint, regardless of the hour. Kenneth also took the time to allow me to film him taking our refrigerator doors off so that I could reassemble them at our final destination, explaining each step, what tools you need and in what order you need to reassemble. That's service in my book. Finally the kicker...We had originally reserved two trailers totaling over $3300 in trailering fees. Kenneth was able to get our entire house into one trailer saving us over 50% of those fees. If that isn't worth a call to him, I don't know what else is. Not only that, but his team is trustworthy, I had no problem leaving them to their work loading my items, no fear of anything being damaged and most of all stolen. There are horror stories out there about movers, but Kenneth certainly restores faith in humanity. If you're moving a single item across town, or your whole house to another state like us, don't hesitate to give him a call and get on his schedule. He's worth every penny.

Two moves, and I'm going to be very generous with 2 stars…read more The first move took much, much longer than it should have with three guys, and they unfortunately didn't realize I grew up speaking Spanish (I'm mixed but white presenting) and said some highly unfavorable things for professionals. While the guy who did my paperwork seemed nice, it was way over the top like he was trying to ingratiate himself with me for a better tip. The questions he was asking me were personal and invasive and just left me feeling uncomfortable and wanting to get away from him. Unfortunately this is the reality of being a woman, often, is men mistake your kindness for familiarity when he should have just stuck to being a professional doing his job. This second, and LAST move I will ever hire Bridgetown for, I booked a move with three guys and the same size truck as my previous move. I specifically wanted a company who knew how much stuff I had (we ran out of room, the first time, and I had to leave several items behind). The issues started at booking, when my estimate arrived with my deposit, and the quote read $0...I checked in with Devon and she said my move was still booked, the quote was just a system error (but didn't fix the issue of an hourly rate for 3 guys...but ok...), the confirmation text I received a a few days before my move caused me minor panic because she listed the wrong date...OOPS her bad, but it's fine, all is well, ok... But, the day comes, and TWO men show up with a much smaller than expected truck. I ask about the 3rd guy? Oh well yea his work order says it's supposed to be 3, the paperwork he hands me says 3...I call Devon and yep oops "Dispatch" (aka one of the owners apparently?) "made a mistake and sent the wrong crew due to a paperwork mixup." Folks, when I tell you this would have been an absolutely nightmarish scenario that would have cost me my last shred of sanity due to all the BS I've been dealing with, it can't be underestimated how p'd off I was. Luckily for me, I have terrible anxiety and bc my last move took so many hours, I haven't been able to sit still and had taken *sixteen* carloads of moving bags over myself before the movers ever arrived. I wanted this move to go so much smoother than the last, and I had two afternoon appointments for various maintenace and install issues with my new house that day of the move. I booked three men and huge truck specifically to make the move fast and easy. If I had not absolutely destroyed my body (thank you, anxiety, for apparently seeing the future and that something would in fact massively go wrong) taking allllll that stuff myself over two weeks after I got my keys on the 1st, there is ZERO shot everything would have fit on the truck, not even half my stuff would have fit. And as a reminder, I specifically booked Bridgetown because they had an inventory from my previous move. I was in the end charged the minimum rate, to "apologize" for the "mixup," but having to explain to Devon and to the two man crew why this was all so frustrating and upsetting is insane to me. I booked 3 guys, giant truck, with BM specifically who had my inventory because I knew how much stuff I had to move. They caused me at least 10 more gray hairs that day. I will never, ever, be using your services again.

Mike has been so nice through this process. Helping dealing with Zippy shell lack of accountability. So of our stuff was damaged in our cross country move and they hire Pdx movers to do the work. Prx delivered on there and should be trusted. Will not say the same for Zippy shell. Horrible to deal with..

A TLDR: I had a terrible experience with PDX Movers as the movers were extremely unprofessional,…read moreslow, and broke my bookshelf to a point where they had to carry it back to their truck in pieces. To top off the worst movers ever, the lead mover called me a Btch as he was leaving. I was doing an apartment to apartment move to a new complex up the road from where I was living previously and had everything boxed up or disassembled to where they just needed to pick up the items and take them to their truck. I was originally quoted as a 3 hour move as I didn't have a lot of items. I actually used this company the last time I moved and they were able to complete the job within that same quote time so I assumed they would finish in the same amount of time and budgeted for this cost accordingly. I believe the lead mover's name is James and the second is Cole. When the two movers arrived, they moved quickly which I appreciated but they soon slowed their pace to a point where boxes were only being moved individually. They moved so slowly that the lead mover eventually started berating and cussing at the other about they way he was moving the boxes even though he wasnt any faster himself which made me very uncomfortable to listen to. Around the 2.5 hour mark, only 1 of 3 rooms was cleared and the third room was completely untouched and both movers were out in their truck doing who knows what. When they finally came back after about 15 minutes they continued with their slow pace. When the lead took out my bookcase to the truck he seemed to have some issue so he came back to tell me and asked if he could show me in the truck. When we were walking out, we saw the other mover moving the truck to allow a car to pass and the lead started loudly cussing and swearing at the other mover as the lead had not strapped the bookcase down so it had been free standing when the truck moved. I felt this was very unprofessional and made me very nervous and uncomfortable to be around this behavior. When we got to the truck we saw that the bookshelf had fallen over. This is fall #1. About 3 hours in to the move, they finally moved everything out and were ready to go to my new apartment. After a ~10 minute drive we arrived and when they opened the truck we saw that the bookshelf had fallen again despite the lead having strapped it to the side of the truck. This is fall #2. The second mover put it back upright (without strapping it down) and was trying to move my mattress to free their ramp when he bumped into the bookshelf with the mattress causing the bookshelf to fall again. This is fall #3. They started unloading and were continuing to resume their slow pace they had when they were loading the truck to the point where I was able to unpack some boxes by the time they brought up the next box. When they brought up the bookcase I unwrapped it to find the back and the base were completely shattered and it crumbled apart after I removed the blanket. The lead told me he would get me a claims report to fill out but he never did; I will have to call the company to get this report. The move ended up taking 6 hours and as I was signing the documents on their tablet, the lead entered a 0 in their tip screen while explaining that they'd prefer to be tipped via venmo, zelle, etc. so they wouldnt have to pay taxes on it. But before I could tell him I didnt have any of those he finalized the transaction. When I told him I didnt have any of those payment apps and therefore couldnt tip him he immediately pivoted and stormed out the front door, leaving it open. As I went to close the door, I heard him yell to the other mover "HEY, THIS BTCH DIDNT...", I then yelled after him that he needs to be more professional. I regret using PDX movers and Im upset that it took twice as long as my last move (and about 3x as expensive) considering the quantity of items was the same and the distance was about the same. I also no longer own a bookcase.

The company may have a solid privacy policy for people who voluntarily choose to communicate with them, but apparently that consideration doesn't extend to people whose information they obtain through other means. Whoever decided that mass-texting an entire household was a good marketing strategy seems to have a very short-sighted view of sales. Nick was great at following up with several questions I had leading up to the move date and the movers, Victor and Jeremiah, were very efficient. They made sure to ask questions if they weren't sure about something and were very strategic and careful when moving furniture through tight doorways. It was a 4-hour move and Victor and Jeremiah did not slow down or stop moving once. Simple, quick, and easy - words I never thought I'd use to describe a move.
