Went for dinner and WOW -- everything was delicious. I've honestly never had chicken that was that crunchy while still being so juicy and tender. Like perfectly cooked. We ordered half a chicken with the soy garlic flavor, and it was seriously addicting. We also got an order of wings (can't remember the exact sauce), and they were just as crispy and flavorful. We also ordered the mussels and they were AMAZING -- easily some of the best mussels I've ever had. Super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The seafood pancake was also really good, definitely worth ordering. The egg rolls were good too (nothing crazy, but still tasty). On top of the food, the service was great. Our waitress was super friendly and explained everything so well, which made the experience even better. It's a small little place, but totally worth it. I definitely want to go back and try more because they have so much on the menu besides just chicken. Highly recommend!

Just saying, I've come 3 times since my first visit and all three times it's been closed. Sad because I'm trying to get my friends to come, now they sadly won't return .

Tasty spot hidden in Sparks - service was very friendly and fast. Spice was....not really there on the chicken. I expected a hotter spice level and was disappointed on that front. Additionally the chicken pieces were small - more breading than meat on the chicken. The beef bulgogi was spicy and plated like fajitas. Kimchi was flavorful.

Kevin's Korean Kitchen. I like it. I don't really care to refer to places as "holes in the wall", but you could really miss this place if you're not looking. This spot is fairly small, hidden in an old shopping center but one could consider this a gem when looking for some good Korean food. My wife and our youngest kid met up here one night for dinner. Our waitress was courteous and attentive to our needs, a great conversationalist with thoughtful recommendations from their menu. We had some of their house fried chicken which was good, fairly crispy, almost too...well done which sacrificed some of the juiciness. As always sauce on the side with one order, however the second order which was soy based, came with the sauce on it and it made no difference in terms of crispness. The outside of the chicken was a little dry again it took away entirely some from the juiciness of the chicken through the crust. Our daughter had the Beef bulgogi, I had the Jjam pong with rice, a fairly spicy seafood soup dish and Fritzie had Ramen. The beef bulgogi from what I heard was delicious, the Jjam pong with rice was pretty spicy the seafood, delicious and varied with shrimp and scallops and Fritzie enjoyed her savory, spicy ramen. Final verdict, 4/5. With a relatively busy and bustling ambiance, a physical room temperature that could get pretty warm or steamy with not the best air condition or ventilation especially when a spicy hot savory dish is served fresh from the kitchen (pretty cool to see, but the waitress had to open the door to keep from us coughing up a lung), to the flavorful bowls and crispy chicken. A place with plenty potential. I'm hoping to check them out again when things aren't so busy to hopefully get the best of their chicken and try their lunch special.

Was greated kindly upon entry. Our first try here. I ordered a 5 piece chicken wing . Kevin knows how to make chicken wings! Perfect crunch but for spicy, I feel they could have been spicier. Also ordered the spicy ramen. Ramen had a pretty good kick to it bit again, could of been spicier. To each his own. The ramen came with a small coleslaw and it was crunchy and delicious. My wife got the kimchi rice and says it was good. Im not much into kimchi so I didn't try. Nice, small space and very clean. Kind of loud when everyone is talking at once. I will definitely be back to try the bulgagi.

A recent weeknight "don't feel like cooking" brought me to Kevin's Korean Kitchen, and saved me sweating over making 4 separate dishes! The dining room was clean and several tables were dining in. The dining area is clean and welcoming. I was told you can phone in ahead for take-out which is great! The menu is...interesting, a little of everything. Fusion? Korean, Chinese, even some Japanese dishes? Kevin's makes it! Potstickers & unagi-don? Eggrolls? Onion rings?!?! Yep, those too. So, if you're on the fence about Korean food, you can probably still find something you like here. Moving on. We ordered 1/2 chicken with Soy Garlic, seafood pancake, kimchi fried rice & SPICY gizzards. The chicken was good, but could have been a *little bit* saucier? Ours seemed a little dry. Seafood pancake was great, as was the kimchi fried rice. The gizzards were SPICY, and I love hot food. Like 'have some Tums ready' spicy. 'You'll pay for these tomorrow' spicy. They're stir fried with onion, whole garlic cloves and about 400 jalapenos - not breaded and fried - if that matters. My husband devoured them and may or may not have had internal bleeding. Dishes came with a little cabbage salad, pickled radish & miso soup, too. Cool, but again, just a little confusing? It took some time to get my order, about 20 min. OK, because fresh food takes time, especially fried chicken on the bone & that makes the call in option make more sense but since this was my first order, I'm glad to got to come in and see the space. Owner was great, staff was friendly & I think if we had the chance, we'd consider dining in next time. Prices seem a little high but the portions were decent.

I want to start off by saying I hope Kevin's kitchen succeeds and it becomes a long term Reno sparks staple. This place came highly recommended, but it wasn't for me. The service was extremely kind and they checked on us frequently. I love supporting local businesses and share my experiences. Service was 10/10 and I love the casual vibe to the restaurant. I wish we had more banchan included. The chicken did come with a coleslaw and radish. My Jjiampongg came with kimchi. The kimchi did not taste right, it was extra fizzy. I grew up eating homemade kimchi so it tasted like it was a bit over fermented. The broth was flavorful and full of seafood. It was my favorite dish The bibimbap needed more protein and I think I'd love gochujang came with it or some sauce. The bibimbap was more like a salad than what we are used to. I'd love if they offered the stone pot as well. It felt like a fun fusion dish, unless we received something different. The garlic soy chicken had a great fry and crisp to it, but I wish it was coated in more sauce. The garlic soy sauce was good but def need way more of it. I know KFC is known for its crispiness with sauce.

The service is really good, cute little spot inside the shopping center on Pyramid. The food was really good. I got the kimchi fried rice and it had a little spice and lits of flavor. The chicken wings were nice and crispy and flavorful as well. I will be back, hopefully to pop in for lunch and try something new.

Good was good, and you can tell that the owner is very involved and cares. It was nice to see him on-site and engaged in the kitchen, even serving. This is a welcome change of pace for smaller family-owned spots. They do have a few dishes that are exceptional and not found far and wide, like chicken gizzards. Ambiance was mellow, but very surface level with a few posters but not much else to make the spot feel homey. The prices were ok for a chicken or 1/2, but a few of the dishes are almost $30 ea, so it might be best to go in planning to share or do family style. The chicken wings are HUGE. I loved that the dish includes some banchan like daikon and kimchi. Fun surprise! Portions were OK size. I look forward to trying the fish katsu next time.

Honest take out review: High expectations for an interesting experience. 2.5/5 Was extremely excited visiting Kevin's Korean Kitchen to get some food as both times I tried before, it was sold out! So the food had to be good right!? It was very clean tasting, it was very healthy tasting, however, I'll leave notes below on the items that made this an experience of which left to be desired. -Miso soup: 5/5 Miso soup was a good portion to start you off, good flavor for a miso soup, good textures or the items; and a good recipe so definitely try the miso! -Kimchi fried rice: 2/5 Kimchi fried rice is one of my favorite Korean dishes! This rice tastes very healthy as there wasn't much sodium or MSG in the dish. You'd get hits of flavor as you'd get a piece of kimchi in the dish but flavor left to go be desired as you're trying to enjoy the dish. -Bulgogi beef: 1.5/5 I love me a bulgogi beef! This however didn't taste like a bulgogi beef. The broth in the bottom of the dish seemed to have the flavor, but without the broth. It was a very bland and almost to be said steamed consistency for the cook of the beef. There were flavors to be had with the dish but it seemed to be very bland missing salt through the ingredients and flavor. It tasted very fresh! However, lacked flavor. If you're looking for a fresh dish alternative you might like this! -Garlic Soy Half Chicken: 2.5/5 Flavoring was amazing as you ate the chicken! Good crunch, good flavor from the sauce, however there was some of the chicken that had red in the middle... after that, I stopped eating as I didn't want to get sick in case it was uncooked. There was what looked like the spine of the chicken as this was a half chicken order, so maybe this is common, but the red in the chicken was what ended the meal in what I'd call... unfortunate. There was a side salad of which looked like Cole slaw cabbage mix in with a sauce to add yourself, and the radish was definitely pickled for sure.... Overall, I was hoping for a brighter and more flavorful experience and wanted to leave this comment as a means to help the restaurant make corrections and grow. Wishing everyone and this business a bright future and hopeful for a better experience!

A much enjoyed Korean fun dinner after a long trip. We arrived back home in Reno after a long drive and were not in a mood to cook. We craved sweet and savory and Korean chicken came to mind. We've tried other Korean chicken and beer restaurants in the Reno-area and this one is by far the best. The server talked with and engaged our three little children and gave them a coloring page. The chicken was tasty, moist inside and a bit crispy outside with just the right amount of sauce. The pickles and kimchis kept us busy while waiting. One improvement that would be extra would be to offer Korean/asian beer brands in addition to they typical beer

Kevin's Korean chicken is new place that everyone needs to try everything I tried has been amazing I love the complimentary miso soup . Especially the cold days hits right on the spot. Parking lot is huge you won't have a hard time parking . They offer a variety of different dishes. And the some dishes come with rice or pickled radish and salad. Must try it all. I can't wait to try there lunch specials. The service is amazing they lady who attended us kept checking in and also had some fun conversations about the place. Do want to make aware that the plates come out extremely hot so the will be sone steam and smoke coming off the plate at times . But its totally normal. Give them a try If you enjoy some awesome Korean food.

Firstly the food was absolutely amazing. I had the spicy pork bulgogi and it genuinely tasted fresh and the spices were perfect and unique. The service was great although it was only 2 people running it, a cook and the owner. The interior was clean and really is cozy although the space is small. Overall I absolutely love this local small business and is absolutely worth tr
