My car has been sitting at your dealership for four months due to a confirmed ABS system issue, and absolutely nothing has been done to resolve it. I've been told for months that your team is trying to locate an inspector to verify the issue for warranty approval. I even offered to personally demonstrate the issue to the inspector during a test drive, but that still hasn't moved anything forward. To make matters worse, I emailed your general manager (seanevans@lithia.com) on December 23, 2024, and that message has never been answered. No follow-up, no call, no response--just silence. Your message claims you're working diligently, but after four months of waiting and no action, I see no results and no real urgency. This is unacceptable. I demand that this matter be resolved immediately. If it continues any further, I will file a formal complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection for violating my rights. At this point, I don't need more apologies--I need action. Just find the inspector. I will come in myself, demonstrate the issue, and do the test drive. Just make it happen. read more

Took it to a body repair shop and pointed out the bondo and said that it had been in an accident! This information was never disclosed. I have never written a yelp review... but working with this dealership the past couple days has been a nightmare. To start off, my service worker was super unhelpful and uninterested in explaining the problems with my car. I came in with a check engine light and limp mode and they were asking $2000 in repairs WITH NO WRITTEN EXPLANATION. Told me my knock sensor was broken. Even though it was brand new, and THEY had replaced it with my new engine 2 months ago. Told my my ignition coils were misfiring and that they all had to be replaced... $250 each. Such a joke. Wasted $230 on a diagnostic that shows no explanation to the "problems" I was told and no price break down. It reads "knock sensor - $900," "ignition coils - $1150." Feels like what they are doing is illegal, hoping I won't ever need to return here. read more

We made a service appointment for 8:30am, but didn't get our car checked in until 9:20. This location is notorious for not honoring appointment times, and also not offering any sort of apology or understanding for creating the problem time and again, and being so backed up. The line to check in cars was twenty deep, cars stacked in the service carport, clogging the side street, and backed up onto Van Nuys Blvd. Claire, the service rep, was woefully unapologetic, taking the criticisms personally. Not cool. Her job is to mollify the customer (who has done nothing wrong), apologize on behalf of the company, and make sure the customers who came on time for their appointments feel heard that they are all being made late for work, child care, what-have-you. Even worse, she took her break right in the middle of this mess, leaving her post in the midst of when customer service was most needed. Shameful. The excuse was that a couple workers called in sick, but we have been Hyundai customers for many years, and this location is notorious for making you wait at least 40 minutes to get your car checked in for service. Addendum: When I returned to pick up the car because I had received a text that it was ready, Claire was there... her station was free and open, so I (reluctantly) asked if she could help me retrieve my car, or if she knew where my service rep was. Her rudeness doubled at this point: "I don't know where he is, maybe he'll be back at some point." She couldn't be bothered to lift a finger... presumably because I had called her on her rudeness earlier-? I suppose that was enough reason for her to summarily dismiss me upon my return. Nice. Luckily, another rep became available and easily checked me out even though I wasn't his client. Which, of course, is what Claire should have done. Stating the obvious, customer service means taking care of customers. Especially when the service department inconvenienced dozens of people this morning. Stuff happens, I get it. But it's how a company responds when it does that makes all the difference. All most people need is recognition, and compassion... both easy and free to give. "You're right, I'm so sorry, this situation sucks. What can I do to help?" What they don't need is dead-eyed rudeness and dismissiveness, in the face of a major scheduling snafu that was not caused by any customer. They need to feel acknowledged for the inconvenience caused them through no fault of their own, and it's the profound lack of empathy that gets people upset. Please do better, Keyes Hyundai. He wasn't informed when we asked questions about the impersonal information he was requesting. My experience here was not good at all. I arrived during my appointment time just to wait 45+minutes before I can get a service provider. You just sit there in line waiting. The purpose of an appointment is to be seen at that time. I understand maybe waiting 5-10 minutes. Time is valuable and people have jobs, kids, etc. Transportation is provided but only one way so chose wisely! I contacted the service dept right away after dropping my car about using a coupon. I was told yes over the phone and I clarified again, and they told me bring it in when you pay. While I was on my way, I called to confirm pick up, payment and details. I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone and kept circling back. At one point I called sales for assistance and was transferred to receptionist only to not get an answer and be sent back to sales. When I arrived for pick up I confirmed everything and showed the coupon only to be told I couldn't use it since they can't change it. There was no one I could speak to at the time. I called the manager and service provider. I heard back from the manager end of next day which told me he didn't know the person I spoke to in the service area and my service provider would call me back. I still haven't heard back. Service was for an oil change and it took 3.5 hours. I've paid half the price at another place near by and the whole service was done in 30-45 min. 10 out of 10! I don't recommend. -5 stars from me... I will NEVER forget this place. I initially worked with Ruby in terms of coordinating to make sure the vehicle I was looking at was still available, she was very helpful and responsive. Once I got the ok from her, I booked a 6:30am flight and was there the very next morning so that I could get the car I wanted. I was unfortunately paired with Maria. Who was initially a nice lady until she wasn't. Once she found out that I chose NOT to finance the vehicle and that I did not want their $3,000 worth of pointless, forced dealer "add ons" her entire disposition changed. She went from helpful to condescending in a matter of minutes. 1. They tried to force "mandatory" dealer add ons by telling me they can't remove them etc etc. she then went to speak to her manager and they agreed to remove 2 of the add ons that they swore they couldn't remove. They spoke as if they were "helping" me remove addons I never requested in the first place. #GASLIGHTERS 2. The car (Audi) has been sitting on the lot untouched for 10 days. How do I know? Because they have a photo of the odometer with the date from June 19th...when I drove it on the 29th. The mileage was the same....I bring this up for a reason 3. They allowed me to take their vehicle to get an inspection. They claim they did a 160pt inspection....but I wanted a second opinion. When I got to the inspection.....the vehicle had 2 open recalls...which should have been an easy fix. But nope, the recall could not be completed because THE HYBRID THEY WERE SELLING WAS MISSING THE CHARGER CABLE WHICH WAS THE MAIN COMPONENT NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE RECALL. Easy fix? not quite because the charger is $2500!!!!!!! And of course they did not want to negotiate the price on the vehicle to to cover the charger. The little sales manager guy said that he would not adjust the price and it's sold as is..... This lets me know their inspection was complete BS!!! How do you sell a hybrid with an open recall and you don't have the $2500 cable? you might as well have sold me shoes with no soles...#POINTLESS Why not tell me before I spent money and energy flying out there? Instead the little manager guy said that if the car doesn't sell in 15 days he's sending it back to the auction to "break even" ha!! Imagine that, a sales manager who can't sell a car. Not because there aren't any potential buyers, but because he chooses to be stubborn and non accommodating. I was upset and felt bamboozled to say the least.... Fortunately I went to an actual Audi dealership and got the vehicle that I wanted, with half the mileage and NO RECALLS.. When I got to the Audi dealership the first thing that came out of the sales guys mouth was "We don't add dealer add ons here, I think it's wrong. The price on the sticker is what you pay plus your registration fees" he didn't even know the terrible experience I had with Keyes Hyundai, Maria and her boss. (Speaking of registration fees, Miss Maria decided to try to charge me 10% tax when it should have really been 7.5%....maybe she thought I was stupid?) If you come here for a used vehicle PLEASE get a PPI (pre purchase inspection) just pay the mneu for one....and don't let this duplicitous, shady car STEALERSHIP force any of their BS addons to your car. Also, if paying cash don't let them know until the end. They are deceitful and dishonest and will take advantage of you if they can. A lot of the times as a younger guy, you can get taken advantage of when you get your car serviced, but been going to Keyes for around 8 months now and they've been awesome! About 3 weeks ago - I took my car in there for service ( I took the day off of work ) . It was just a standard service. Basically an oil and change and the inspection if my car needed any service. I had an appointment , waited about 56 minutes before they even checked my car in . That is with an appointment . When I tried to tell him any other concerns I had he said that will take longer so I am not going to add it . I said will. you at least check my brakes ( because I don't want to have to replace rotors ) and he said that is part of the inspection . I ask how long it is going to take and he said this will average 3-4 hours . I say that the absolute latest I can't leave is 3 PM because so have to pick up my daughter . At the 3.5 hour mark I text for an update : no response . 4 hour mark I text for an update: no response . At the 5 hour mark I arrive at the service drive . I ask where my car is. He says he is going to go check . About 20 minutes later he returns and says almost done , just another 20 minutes . I say I told you to bring me my car . My 7 year old is sat at school thinking I am not coming for an hour now . He tells me to calm down . Zero apologies nothing . Another 15 minutes later they bring my car . It is now almost 6 hours . They didn't even complete the oil change or the inspection. Worse of all I have contacted the service manager several times with no call back . The least that could have been done was reschedule a priority appointment ( since service wasn't completed , caused trauma to my child , and I took a day off of work ) instead not even apology . Needless to say it has been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from them and have to find another day off from work to get service . Hopefully my brakes are still okay and didn't damage my rotors!! We went to the dealership Saturday looking for a car since our family is growing and saw one we really liked. We talked with Chris but didn't settle on anything just yet. WHEN DID WE ASK FOR A TRANSLATOR??? We speak English why did he find the need to speak to us in our native language, just so he can disrespect us..disgusting human! As if speaking in our native language was going to change anything. On top of that Chris had the audacity to LIE and say he never gave us that deal over the phone. So we obviously left went to their sister company KIA and are EXTREMELY happy about the service and car we purchased! If I could give a "no stars" review, I would. I took my Hyundai Kona here for Service on November 16. I won't make that mistake again. I had an appointment and waited for intake for over 20 minutes. There were cars lined up and nobody around. When someone, ONE person, finally showed up, she was selective about who she spoke to, not minding the fact that there was a line. I finally spoke to someone about my car; he didn't ask if I had an appointment but asked what I was there for. I said the car is due for service, and the car is telling me so. I am under 50K miles, so I called first about what service was needed and the price. I had it all written down. We went to his desk, and I read what I was told during my call. I quoted the price as $154.99. This dude then told me that 1. I couldn't have spoken to anyone who would give me that price, 2. he quoted $189.99 but said he could give me a $20 discount, and 3. confirmed that everything I read would be done (Oil change, filter check, engine treatment, rotate tires, clean, check lines for holes and tears, visually inspect breaks and shocks and AC. Fuel treatment to clean line.) I also asked if they top off fluids, and he said yes. 4. He said this would take 3 hours. I let him know I needed to get to work but would wait. I then asked if they would do a multi-point inspection and let me know if the car needed anything specific. He said, "Of course." That was a lie. Their waiting area was comfortable. It didn't have any outlets for plugging in a laptop or iPad but there was plenty of seating. The coffee machine was cool, with many options for drinks, but I wouldn't touch it because it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. (We have the same machine at my office and it has to be cleaned daily, says the company who installed it) Two hours later, nobody had said anything to me about my car. Three hours in I went to the desk to ask what the deal was. The service guy helping me said, "I told you it would be three hours." I replied, "Yes, you did...three hours ago." He then said, "let me see your paperwork." I showed him, and his attitude changed, and he said it would be another 15 minutes. Ten minutes later, he said the car was done, and I should go to another desk to pay. When the girls at that desk paid attention and stopped eating cake from Nothing but Bundt, they looked for my paperwork and quoted me the price of $176. I'm unsure how we landed on that number, but the service person helping me disappeared. All of the people at the long service desk were gone. So much for asking questions. Another gentleman was standing next to me at the payment area, screaming that he was not happy with being kept waiting, and he wanted to know where his car was and what was going on. (Right there with ya bruh) The lady helping me was nice but more concerned about her cake. She offered to find the guy helping me, and I said forget it, it's been too long, and I need to leave. I asked for the manager, but he wasn't there. The assistant manager was available, and I politely told him, no shade, but I need the manager...or at least his name, RICK CARTWRIGHT, and number. I contacted RICK COTWRIGHT four times, leaving messages on his voicemail or with a customer service rep each time. He never returned my call. He must know the service department here is a cluster you know what. I thought taking my car to a Hyundai Service department close to home would be better than driving to Valencia, where I purchased the vehicle. I was wrong. I'd rather make the 45-minute drive to Kia of Valencia, where I know I won't be treated like crap, and I'm informed on the status of my car throughout the service and able to make choices about what gets done. Oh, I have no idea if I got the full service on my vehicle from Keys since their paperwork isn't itemized. Did they rotate the tires? Who knows, it is not listed. Did I need to know anything about the fuel lines, AC, or brakes? Who knows, I was never told. Did they top off fluids? I don't know that either. To anyone planning to get their car serviced here. He was incredibly condescending, and told me to "figure out the OTD", then walked away all passive aggressively. So I decided to give this location a try again after the last disappointment. I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment for an issue with my clock spring which is covered by an extended warranty. I was informed that just the diagnostic would take half a day which is insane. I then asked to reschedule for a weekend since I have to go to work. Then they inform me that they don't do this type of repair on a weekend and would only do it on weekdays. WTF is happening with this place? Are the tools not available on weekends? They want me to lose money by not working so they can repair it for free? This does not make any sense. read more

I have been calling to try to make an appointment for a service for 2 days straight and can't get anyone on the phone. I have left messages and have never received a call back. They are the only dealership in the area that services the hydrogen Nexo model. I will take it the Cerritos dealership. We have leased 3 cars from Keyes and that will be the end of that. I'll find another dealer to work with. It is too bad because their sales staff is fantastic. Their service department is going to run this dealership into the ground. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. Carlos that works in the service department. He knew I had a reliable hundred percent warranty on my car but he decided to make up that I neglected my car after only having it for 10 months cert pre owned.. and wanted to charge me thousands of dollars and damage when it should've been 100% covered by my warranty. I approached him about it and he tried to make up excuses and I proved him wrong ....so he mentioned on taking my car to the dealership that I bought it to get it fixed there which is stupid because it was 50 miles away and this place is 5 miles from me... Without admitting that he was wrong he decided to waive my diagnostic fee and give my car back for free after checking everything out. Carlos ...just be honest. I know you make commission and stuff like that whenever you charge people maintenance on cars ... I get it... it's your job. But honestly, honesty will get you places sometimes. If a person is in my situation, just go with their warranty. Don't make up some bs about neglecting my car whenever I proved you wrong that that wasn't the case. Whoever the manager is over Carlos I recommend having a talk with him so he can do better... read more

Booked an appointment for a routine service. There were about 6 cars ahead on the line. Was told that the wait time is 50mins or more to actually get checked-in. Was told it's due to short staffing or overbooking. My thought was, dont overbook if customers will wait more than an hour just to be checked in. It's not that organized and welcoming anymore, at least from my experience. Been going here more than ten years but the recent experience has been not so nice.
