I shopped around, online and in person, for a 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited Amazon Gray exterior and Gray/black trim interior. It took a while to find one matching my specifications and Keyes Hyundai Van Nuys had it. I visited Keyes Hyundai Van Nuys several weeks before to test drive a 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited when I met Tameem Habib, Sales and Leasing Consultant, who was very cordial, answered my questions and provided additional information about the vehicle, all without "selling." The end of my visit, he said "shop around, I'm sure you will return." Tameem's title of consultant, not sales, was true. His prediction was correct, I did return, this time to "run the numbers" for a prospective purchase of the vehicle. I told him of the many experiences I had with other "sales" people and what I determined to be a fair price. Tameem didn't waste time and involved Taimur Amin, General Sales Manager, in our discussion about price. In a short time, Taimur presented a price and an idea to finance a portion of the purchase price to take advantage of a consumer financing incentive from Hyundai Finance, which lowered the purchase price. He extended his hand and asked "do we have a deal" to which I shook his hand in concurrence. I appreciated the hand shake gesture to seal the deal because I often do the same with my clients. I then met with the F & I fellow to conclude the transaction. Tameem gave me the key fob to my newly purchased vehicle. When I drove home, it was already dark. The next day, in the morning, I saw a scuff mark on the side panel, near the fuel door, photographed it and sent it with a text message to Tameem. When a problem arises, the action taken to resolve or not resolve it, is the difference between a good reputation and goodwill verses neither. Today, I brought the vehicle to the dealership for Taimur, to see the scuff mark. Tameem had a day off. He viewed it and immediately said "we'll take care of it." The vehicle was take to the auto body shop and returned to me "as good as new," scuff mark removed. In addition, I will receive a full refund for some roof rails, a dealer installed item, that I don't need or want. I rate both Tameem and Taimur as "GREAT" for the way they conduct business and the additional customer satisfaction for removing the scuff and reimbursement for the roof rails. Most dealerships attitude is once you drive the vehicle off the lot, their responsibility ends. Tameem and Taimur are to be emulated by all in the retail vehicle dealership business for how to sell, without traditional selling, and for resolving customer issues amicably and to the full satisfaction of the customer. KEYES Hyundai in Van Nuys is nothing short of being the best!! BEST IN ALL THE WEST! General Manager, Mike Lehham knows exactly what he's doing, saying and how to get things done! And quickly! He doesn't play games or waste your time hyper litigating the sale. I name a price. He names the car and each car I have bought through Mike has been at the price I wanted. He does not lower the price then drive out a different and cheaper car. And he doesn't try to talk you into something you don't like. Best of all folks, he likes the one, the only, the 2012 & 2014 Stanley Cup Champions, The Los Angeles Kings!!! We have bought a few cars from Mike as he was our lifesaver several years ago when we didn't have the best of credit. We have never forgotten about Mike - although I'm sure he'd like to forget about us! Kidding! Haha! Whatever dealership he transfers to, that's where we will be for our next car. I actually went in to ask him if he knew anyone at Keyes Chevy cause I was DEAD SET on getting a Camaro! No changing my mind. I don't regret not getting a Chevy. Can't believe I uttered that! I am absolutely so in love my 2014 Hyundai Sonata! It's got it all and it's sooooo pretty too! Mike said go to the lot and pick out a car that you like ...I saw her sparkling in the corner right away. Told Mike and he said it's yours. I would've chuckled but I knew he meant it and knew I would never set foot in my Nissan again. Mike handled the entire transaction, the paperwork while I went to pick up my kids. When I got back 40 mins later, my new baby was already washed and backed into the parking space right by the front door, lights on and running. The paperwork was fully done - I walked straight back to finance and signed my life away. People who know me know I am not financially impulsive but one would be foolish to walk away from the deal I got. And the car! She is gorgeous! Bells, whistles, everything a luxury car comes with. Backup camera, seat heaters, blinkers on the side view mirrors, GPS, XM radio, 24 hr roadside service, the works. You will not find a better warranty on a car. Hate to say it but I actually like it better than our Infiniti G35 S. It's a beauty and what a long way Hyundai has come! Kudos! I would have never bought one a few years ago. Mike Lehham, you are a true gem, and such an asset for Keyes! You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do some of the dirty work. Update Part 3. Full story. Sent into Hyundai for review. Literally everything could have been done better. I was sold a vehicle that was not yet ready to be sold. I was told to bring it back in (1+ hour commute) a few days later to install the chip for the alarm system I purchased. I was told it would be done that morning that I brought it in. I was fine with that. But once I got there I was told it would not be ready until the evening and was given a loaner vehicle. The service center attempted to quibble with me about the allotted milage I was able to use, despite the fact that it was absolutely not my fault I needed to bring the vehicle back in the first place, and I live 50+ miles away from the dealership. After that was smoothed over, I was told I could pickup my vehicle that evening. I was not able to come until the following morning, and was told that would be fine. I arrived the next morning, and was told "who told you to come pickup your vehicle?" This was immediately upsetting as i was told by two people the day before that it would be ready the previous evening. It was also upsetting as the salesman and service center employee were aware of how far I needed to commute, and that it was already a massive inconvenience to need to rearrange my schedule simply because I was actually sold a car that was not ready to be sold. The morning I was told the car would not be ready, I was pulled aside by the manager, Richard. He attempted to quell the situation by offering me a free carwash and tank of gas the next time I came in. When I reminded him that I would not be coming in again for just a carwash and gas because of how far I lived, he was clearly irritated. He then offered a porter to drop off my new vehicle once it was ready. I agreed, although this should have been offered to me the FIRST time for my inconvenience. I asked for my car to be dropped off with a full tank of gas at the very least, and Richard had the audacity to scoff before he reluctantly agreed. It took them 2 days to drop my vehicle off to me. During that time I learned that another part needed to be installed in my car for the airbags, because it wasn't ready to be sold. This part required my car to be taken off-site from the dealership (unbeknownst to me, until I learned of it after the fact) and reupholstered. When I received my car (almost a week now from when I originally purchased it, btw) it was VERY obvious that it had been SMOKED IN. I am furious. I wish I could just refund my purchase and be rid of the vehicle at this point. I am so angry that we gave this dealership our business. read more

I've been leasing a 2024 Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid and have been dealing with an ongoing issue since day one. The CarPlay kept disconnecting from the screen, but I initially assumed it was a cable issue. However, after testing multiple cables and devices, the problem persisted, and it became more frequent. I took my car to Keyes Hyundai Van Nuys, hoping for a resolution. After 3 days, they called to say they couldn't find anything wrong, but when I asked for a guarantee it wouldn't happen again, they refused. As soon as I left the dealership, the issue occurred again. I called immediately and they told me to schedule a second appointment. During the second visit, they were able to reproduce the issue, and I was informed that the screen needed replacement. They ordered a new one, and I was told it would be fixed soon. After over 2 weeks of waiting and several follow-ups, I was told the issue persisted even with the new screen. Then, I was shocked when they claimed rodent damage was the cause, and demanded $920 for tearing into and repairing the leased car, which had never been an issue before. When I rejected that, they demanded $230 for diagnostics. I went to the service center to get some clarity, and it was revealed that they had no proof of rodent damage. In fact, the service specialist had mixed up my car with another one! It turns out the real issue was an USB electric problem, which will be repaired without charge. So, three weeks later, I'm still without a car, no replacement vehicle has been provided, and I'm stuck in limbo with my leased car that should never have had this issue in the first place. This experience has been absolutely awful, and I cannot recommend Keyes Hyundai for their service. read more

My a/c suddenly stopped working about a month ago so I decided to take it to PepBoys to see if it was something I could easily get fixed. They told me my condenser had a hole in it and to see if my Sonata had warranty since it is a lease. Although I had had such bad experiences at the dealership I decided to give it another shot and took it in to get it checked. Upon arrival I told the girl exactly what they told me was wrong with the car and the reason why my a/c was not working. She took note of it, but still said they needed to run their own diagnostics test to make sure. A few hours later she called me to let me know that it was covered under warranty and that they ordered the part. I made an appointment the following week to get it fixed which should have only taken 2-3 hours according to her. Right before closing which was 6 hours later she called me back saying they changed the hose on my car and it still was not letting out cold hair. Now I'm not sure where they got that my car needed a hose when I specifically told her what it needed to make their life easier. It makes me wonder if 1) they even did the diagnostics test and 2) if they have competent people working for their company. They wasted 2 days of my time and did not fix the problem. I was also told I would be receiving a call from the manager. It has been weeks and I have not received one call from the service department. They do however keep calling me from sales wondering if I would like a new car since my lease is almost up. I am extremely disappointed about the lack of good customer service and dishonesty I've gotten since day 1. No I will not be doing anymore business at this dealership. read more

I leased my car from this dealership a year ago, and it was the worst leasing experience I've had in 20 years (previously with Audi). I left a review, posted internally, and even called corporate--yet not a single person has reached out. That should tell you everything about how they operate. As for their service department? Somehow, it's even worse. I scheduled a service recall appointment through their app, but given my lack of trust in this place, I called ahead to confirm. No surprise--they had no record of my appointment. When I provided a screenshot proving my booking, the representative admitted their app has issues (which, frankly, aligns with everything else about this dealership). Instead of taking accountability, she simply said, "You can come in," with zero concern for the inconvenience. I told her to ensure the service team was aware of the glitch. When I arrived, no one had a clue about my appointment. Same frustrating process all over again. After waiting 20 minutes for an advisor, he finally showed up--with attitude--only to tell me their computer system was down and they couldn't perform the recall. When I asked how long the system had been down, he casually mentioned it had been a couple of hours. So why wasn't I informed when I called an hour earlier? His response? "Just keep calling every hour to see if it's working." That's their solution--no rescheduling, no proactive communication, nothing. This dealership is the epitome of unprofessionalism--rude staff, zero customer service, and complete disregard for people's time. I regret leasing here. I like my car (Ioniq 5), but if I could go back, I'd 100% take my business elsewhere. read more

I believe that a sales representative from this location decided to play an awful, childish, unprofessional prank on me. I was in the market for a new car, & loved Hyundai. I'd heard great things about this location - so I submitted an inquiry online & selected them as one of my preferred dealerships. I really just wanted more information on the car & made it clear after the first 50 e-mails, calls, & texts that they needed to ease up & be a little less aggressive with a first-time buyer. They made me feel overwhelmed & it was honestly harassment. It got to the point where I had to block numbers because they couldn't take a hint. Just now, after hanging up & blocking yet another call from one of their sales reps (after e-mailing a manager to ask to be removed from contact lists) I received a flood of calls, e-mails & texts - 14 calls, 40 e-mails, & 4 texts in the last 10 minutes to be exact. My phone is chiming off the hook. I think that one of the ornery representatives from this dealership who is upset about losing my business gave my information to a number of other sellers who are now asking if I'm still interested & want to come in to test drive a Ford Mustang (which is illegal). I'm currently investigating the issue to see if I can source the leak of my personal information, which is really dangerous. Until I can confirm it was the representative I was dealing with from here, I'll just say that the harassment I endured (that I can source back to this dealership) was awful. Terrible Experience with Unprofessional and Racist Behavior My friend and I visited Keyes Hyundai on December 2, 2024, intending to purchase a brand-new Hyundai. Unfortunately, the experience was absolutely terrible due to the unprofessional and racist behavior of an employee named Garry. From the beginning, Garry was rude and dismissive, failing to provide even basic customer service. Every time we asked a question, he responded in a careless and condescending manner, as though we should already know the necessary information. He was consistently disrespectful and humiliating. What made the situation even worse was Garry's racist behavior. Once he realized we were Turkish, his hostility escalated. He started yelling at us in a loud and aggressive manner, making the environment extremely uncomfortable. When we requested to speak to a manager, Garry overheard and began walking toward us in an intimidating way, which was completely unacceptable. The manager eventually approached us and tried to address the situation, but by then, it was too late. Garry's continued yelling left us with no choice but to leave. Thankfully, we went to another Hyundai dealership in Santa Monica, where we received exceptional service and purchased our new car without any issues. I strongly recommend avoiding Keyes Hyundai. Their lack of professionalism and tolerance for such unacceptable behavior is shocking. If you're looking for excellent service, go to Santa Monica Hyundai instead--they were fantastic! read more

ok seriously i CAN NOT even believe im seeing 1 star reviews. first let me start with my approach . i literally had my credit ran sssoooo many times and dealt with dealers straight up LIE to me and give me the run around so i took my money else where and came across Keyes Hyundai . It was a 2 and a half hour drive in traffic i had just got off of work and i was heated and so over dealing with different pushy dealers ... so the first guy who helped me really got nothing but a huge attitude from m ei got there 30 mins before closing . so Fabian Duvernay ! he was the first guy ... i cant even say enough nice words about him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i left that lot in a WAY better mood than when i got there .. he was so nice turned my attitude around and was extremely helpful . and he was pushing to do the impossible which was to get me a car lol ALSO Steve Chung ! AMAZING man as well . he made everythign so easy and comfortable i was happy to drive 2 and a half hours knowing that these two gentlemen where going to be the ones to help me .i have NEVER in my life received customer service like i got from them . i wouldnt change a single thing and id do it all again in a heart beat ! i recommend anyone talk to those two and they go above and beyond to get you what you want ! id give ten stars if i could . i am an extremely satisfied customer !!!!!!! read more

Unfortunately it's the typical used car salesman antics. I went to this dealership with financing in hand and they gave me a line about how they are required by the FTC Red Flag Rule and the Patriot Act to run any buyers credit to verify identity. I explained this this wasn't necessary and the FTC had a publicly available site to run this check. They said, "Yes, you're right..." and ran my credit anyway. I caught them out there when I received an email, while still at the dealership, from my credit alert service. All they had were excuses after that. I didn't feel like arguing and just wanted to get the car I came for. I should have fought about it a little more, but I didn't and now I have a ding on my credit to show for it. I sent an email to the FTC the day after and they confirmed that car dealerships can verify anyones status from their publicly available website and a credit check is NOT required. Of course they use the Red Flag Rule as pretext to run your credit and try and sell you on their financing. Lovely. Stay away from Nick Diaz, Michael Beach and a squirrelly guy in the Finance Dept named Steve. Add to that, no full tank of gas and no floormats. They will all smile while they're running their games. I will never go back and buy anything from these guys. read more

There is almost nothing good about this particular dealer. I did not buy my 2015 Santa Fe from Keyes but I really have no choice but to take it there as there are just not that many places that service Hyundais, currently. The service is a joke. They should fire everyone who works in that department and start from the ground up. I've been to other Keyes dealerships for different model cars (Lexus, Toyota) and they are fine, but the Hyundai place sucks. It's outrageouly expensive and most of the people there don't know what they're doing. I had a service there and told them the radio wasn't working properly. Well, after the service I realized they never even checked it, but they were all too happy to take my money. So I brought it in again and they checked it, telling me they would order a new radio. I waited two weeks and called the service department. They said call parts. I said no, it is a service issue. They said no, it's parts and connected me to the parts department. Parts said that it was a service issue. I told them that I had told them that. The parts guy said 'This happens alot.' Yeah. I bet it does. Avoid this place at all costs. I'm going to start going to another dealer many miles away just to avoild this place. I truly hope the new place is better. read more

I leased a brand new 2020 Hyundai NEXO Limited from Keyes, and have had issues with the vehicle ever since. The NEXO itself is a nice and comfortable SUV however, I would never recommend a hydrogen car after owning one. Stations are ALWAYS down or out of fuel. This often leads to not being able to drive for 1-2 weeks at a time. The Hydrogen infrastructure is nowhere near ready or prepared for the current demand and Hyundai is unwilling to rectify this issue by helping customers trade in their leases early to have a running vehicle. I personally have gone 1-2 weeks waiting for a nearby hydrogen station to be repaired - resulting in the need for the car to be towed between stations to get it running again. This car has been a huge headache and is not well suited for anyone who needs a daily reliable source of transportation. The most disappointing part about this is the lack of support, guidance, or assistance from Hyundai Dealers and Hyundai Finance Company. Customers who purchase these vehicles are contractually stuck to a lease for a $65k car that is often left for weeks without fuel. How can Hyundai continue to sell/lease these vehicles while knowing that the hydrogen infrastructure (and shortages) are putting their customers into financial distress? read more

From the moment we arrived, he was friendly, professional, and most importantly--never pushy. He took the time to answer all of our questions, let us move at our own pace, and made the entire car-buying process feel comfortable and stress-free. What really stood out was Ryan's patience and honesty. He made us feel like we were working with him, not being sold to. We truly appreciated how straightforward the negotiation process was--no gimmicks, no games, just a fair deal that beat out everything else we had seen in the area. The dealership itself was also a pleasant surprise. It was clean, welcoming, and had a relaxed atmosphere. A big bonus for us was the foosball table, which kept our two boys happily entertained while we handled the paperwork. This is the worst dealership in all dealership i ever visited.I can also bet that no one is worse than this one.I went there for new sonata and in starting there were nice until i said that their price is higher than others. They took me other place for finance but after seeing amount i said no, and than my real experience started. I had to wait for 15 min to get a ride up to my car parking with my wife outside of their building and no one was helping us which was terrible for us. So i decided never go there again. But again i had to go over there after 15 days because they had a car which i wanted.I called them for car information and was hold for 15 min two times and at the end got answer like"I don't know car is there or not. We are busy so just come over here and check it out."so after wasting 30 min got answer don't know? Even i went there as i wanted that car, but this time he (ALEX) didn't even invite us and just said if you want car than have to pay MSRP. And i came back from their parking lot. Old review was about Service / New Review is for Sales I recently visited this Dealership with the intention of purchasing a vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of disastrous. The internet manager (Siuzanna Asratian), while seemingly helpful initially, displayed a complete lack of understanding regarding the financing process. This was exacerbated by the Sales Manager's (Jack) arrogant and unprofessional demeanor. The Sales Manager insisted on pulling my credit through the dealership despite my explicit request to submit the application directly to the bank. This aggressive and unnecessary action is a clear indication of their disregard for customer preferences and potential financial implications. Given my extensive automotive portfolio, including a Maybach, Benz S550s, Lexus LC 500, and multiple Hyundais, it's evident that my creditworthiness is not in question. Such blatant disregard for customer autonomy and financial privacy is unacceptable. I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of this dealership.
