I have had my car serviced here for years. They came under new ownership, they added more people and the prices for service skyrocketed. Front brakes were $378.00!! That's with the rotors turned. I don't begrudge anyone making a living but the labor is through the roof! The service guys are great but I think they are trying to up sale a lot of services you may not need. Probably the worse car dealership in the North American Region. I was scheduled to buy a used car and was booked appointment with Adriana Robles, never met her in person. Her main job is to attract costumer and book them right away, she will tell you everything is good to go but when you arrived, she is no where to be found. Once arrive in the dealership, she will text you to meet one of the internet sales associates, his name is Paul Turner, typical sales person but he doesnt know what his doing. The first thing he ask me before applying a car loan from the "third party" bank is how much I can afford or my budget with out checking the bank first and he already know the price of the car, length of time for the loan and how much supposed to be discout etc. Well, Paul is a classic shark, his try to make money out of me but I call him out and shut him down. This dude didnt even say anything about the car and he told me that I need a down payment knowing that I am purchasing the car with 0 down prior coming in. He didnt even try and just dont want to moved forward because he is not making money and its a false advertisement. I dont tolerate liars and scam artist. Its sad! Every time I bring one of my vehicles here, they always do a great job of servicing! Although service times vary, the technicians are very knowledgeable and, know just what they're doing. As far as the Service Reps. go, these guys always make sure your experience is a pleasant one. After you drop off a vehicle, they offer courtesy transportation service through Lyft, via their concierge, if needed. While you wait, you are also given a text line from which you'll receive updates in maintenance progress, so you know how it's all coming along! Deeply disappointed by Keyes Hyundai. I had previously purchased 2 cars here and done a ton of service there over the years, great experience each time, and went out of my way to come back hoping to get a third. Instead, I left feeling totally screwed with and I never want to come back, including for service of my current car. Note, I understand the market is insane right now and was willing to pay a bit more, msrp plus, given that I know I can secure a profit on my current car. However, after driving the car Monday afternoon and receiving one quote, I went back this AM to purchase and was told the previous offer "expired" because "things had changed." This was after I had called and indicated I'd come in and take it at the previous price. Worse, I also looked into trade in, and was wildly lowballed and told it was because of the carfax. They got in my head so much that I paid on my own to double-check my report tonight, and what do you know - they are misrepresenting my report, and offering me 4-6k under what the report has indicated I could secure and what I have been quoted by others. They said my damage was why it was lower when the car is in great condition. It's a 2019 model with only previous minor mirror damage, and the whole thing has been replaced and works perfectly, just needs a little paint! Literally that's it, some paint on the mirror and they offered me 4k-6k under market. Unreal. Long story not so short, went through the headache of trying to negotiate and couldn't get anywhere - with trade in, without trade in, adjusting down payments, nothing. Despite every scenario, plenty to put down, and great credit, best out the door offer I could get was 7k over MSRP. Worse, the energy I got from the sales person when I indicated that was an unacceptable offer and questioned how my previous offer, which was STILL going to be probably 5k over MSRP out the door all things considered, expired so fast was so rude that I am still in shock and horrified. Just so freaking awful. I can't believe how bad this all was. As a buyer with excellent credit, long history with the dealership and service center, who was in no way even pursuing a wild discount in current market conditions, I'm appalled at how aggressively they approached this sale. They clearly are taking the most predatory approach possible given current situation, and are seeking only wildly inflated offers, not even moderately inflated. They will let you know you are totally expendable trash to them. I expect whoever buys the car I tried to get is going to be a desperate person who will take whatever terms they can get. It makes me sad and honestly a bit grossed out. Looks like my relationship with this dealer is over. I'll be selling my car at a profit elsewhere and holding off on replacing, and if I get to a point where I want to buy even above market, I'll do it somewhere else that is at least nice to me and straight-forward about it. read more

Their service staff is incredibly rude especially the woman I dealt with today. I bought a car a month and half ago from them and needed a routine maintenance and they told me they'd need to do a recall for it and keep it overnight. I asked if they could please charge it overnight as I didn't anticipate it staying overnight and my job is 120 miles away and I needed charge to get to work the next day. I was told yes and when I noticed it wasn't charging I reached out and got berated and told that I couldn't afford a charging station and I was using the dealership as one which makes absolutely no sense since I just bought a 32,000 car from them and like I said didn't anticipate it staying overnight. Every time you go to the service department there's a different service manager and service writers working there (which makes you think why do they always leave). Literally no one helped us, asked if we needed help, or if we were looking for a specific vehicle. There was this one old white guy with a grey suit and messy hair who looks like he smokes a pack a day, just stood there on his phone. Had to go up to him to ask him for help with looking for a vehicle and he responses with "I have two, they're in storage" rudely while looking at his phone like he could care less.. he lost a potential sale. Financed a vehicle with cosigner, and now not able to honor different things told when purchased because my salesman no longer works here. Was told nothing could be done to get cosigner into another vehicle, but she went to Russell Westbrook Chrysler and got a brand new Jeep Renegade. Went in today to check on the Kona EV. 2 salesmen at the door looked at me and totally disregarded me. I went inside and spoke to the receptionist. She called a salesman to help me. When I asked about the Kona EV, he took me outside and showed me one, the only one one on the lot but not for sale. The salesman did not know anything about the charging capabilities if the Kona. He did not even know what is DC Charging or as commonly know as charming type #3. He put me on to the manager and also did not know the answer. When asked about the availability of the care he said that I have to put a down payment on one and wail for a delivery in about 1 to 2 months and that the color would be unknown. When asked about the MSRP, the manager indicated and the price is $10000.00 above the MSRP. At this point I walked out of the showroom. I cannot stress enough how simple and painless this buying process was! Faisel was responsive, helpful, and efficient. We called late in the day to see if they had the car we wanted. It's in high demand so we were surprised when he had exactly what we wanted! We would be traveling nearly 2 hours to get to Van Nuys, so we knew we wouldn't make it in before the end of the day. He set it aside for us, helped us get our credit checked and discussed numbers and pricing over the phone. Typical don't want to give low stars to dealership because I work at one. But you have to honor your words and don't drag people from the other side of town and imagine it's late and they're tired so they just sign for anything, specially if you're dealing with another sales manager. I made an Internet inquiry Manny, replied and gave me numbers but I didn't like the numbers so I spoke to Richard they're sales director super nice guy. He did the numbers and I told him I'll be there, ima day or so, then we can bend a little bit more on numbers. I got off work and I drove all the way to Van Nuys, and then I asked about the same car and wanted to know the numbers on the hybrid as well. But Richard wasn't there, So I was being helped by someone name Farid. His response to me asking for numbers was we are about to close, but let me see if they want to do numbers! He came back without putting any effort he gave me a super high number too threw me off that car. I told him I work at Mercedes Benz, I'm an Sales Manager there, why would pay $550 a month on a hybrid sonata when the car runs about under $300 truly! I can get a Benz then. His response was the demand is high snd we have markup on the car. Then they even didn't honor the numbers Richard told me. Then I walked out. I drove 30 miles to there for no reason. When I could've been at home and resting. I work everyday. Most importantly when I have a customer walking in, even though we are near closing time we always make them feel welcome and take care of them. Rather than trying to just give them high numbers and try to get them. I was treated poorly, I wasn't happy with the customer service. Wasn't happy with the fact they didn't honor their sales director words! Wasn't happy with anything! At this point, I don't think I would ever go back to this location. There's a reason why people pay more at other places. Because they take care of them. You just lost an easy deal! I guess I'm going to a different brand. I have never had any great experiences here, but nothing I felt the need to write about, until now. I brought my car in for the regular service that pops up when mileage is hit. I pulled up and had a discussion with the service advisor that took my car. Note: every time my car has had service, there is an issue!! I asked is there any service that can be done in addition to the basic, he gave me a couple packages and I said "good to know, maybe I will make an additional appt later" ok great. 2.5 hours later, my car is ready. Cashier informs me of a $189 charge. Clearly you have the wrong customer. The service advisor came out to me and had the audacity to LIE and tell me he informed my warranty was up AND this fee! looked me straight in the face and lied. I asked for the manage T LEN AKERS apparently is a "manager" he proceeds to tell me "why would you think there is no fee for tor service" umm, because there never has been. He said "well, your warranty is over". Ok, great, but shouldn't I been informed of this PRIOR!? He then looks at me and said "YOU WERE" with a very nasty demeanor! I informed him that if I was made aware, there would be no issue right now. Who has time to deal with this?! After 2.5 hours. I said, instead, your service advisor is trying to upsell me! THE MANAGER OF THE SERVICE DEPT says "oh interesting that you would know that phrase" excuse me? He said it again. I said of course I know that phrase my entire family is in the sales industry. Once again. THE SERVICE MANAGER LEN AKERS was nasty and demeaning!! I'm appalled and offended to be treated with such UTTER DISRESPECT!! I'm a grown woman and do NOT deserve to be treated as if I'm an idiot or a liar! All the way until I left CRYING, upset and embarrassed to be treated so nasty! This Hyundai dealer at city of Van Nuys has the worst customer service ever . I would give them -1000 points if I could. Unfortunately they don't care about their customers. The service group are not professional and can't diagnose the issue and all they care they charge you for not getting the job done . They put my brother life in danger and not even don't care about it . How is it possible to take a care to them 4 times with the same issue and still can't fix it ? And the end they just said we can't do anything. We had to tow his car to a mechanic. And they know their game so good cause we were not able apply for lemon law cause the warranty expired by the 4th time . So listen to me my friends, Don't go to them or if you go don't expect good service from all of them from the manager to the service guys . To make the long story short, Mr. Sobel just kept asking us to send him all documents that we have already provided to Hyundai services in Van Nuys and they should have them in their system, I sent all of them to him again, then he asked for the invoice of repairing transmission part by my brother mechanic ( since Hyundai didn't fix the problem we had to tow his car to a shop) I sent the invoice to him , then he asked for the actual part to be sent to him !!! Mr.Sobel if you didn't want or could not help us why did you asked us to contact with you? How could we send the big / heavy transmission part from a shop to you ? This week, I received an unsolicited inquiry from a "sales executive," asking about my interest in a great deal on a new Tucson if I would allow Keyes to buy me out of my current lease. I was up for it, but cautioned that I would only give it consideration if they lowered our current payment. I work in the automotive industry (30 years) and know full well that low-mileage SUVs and trucks are in huge demand right now. Two days later, the response was that the vehicles the sales exec had in mind have been sold, and that the one available would be $65 MORE than I am currently paying. Guess I need to try a different language, because this communication failed miserably. This is age-old bait-and-switch nonsense. This is indicative of why people hate and don't trust car dealers.
