So right after my review, the dealership emailed me and apologized about my bad experience. They offered to try to make it up to me by picking up my car and taking it in for the repairs. I agreed and due to bad timing on both sides, it took about a month to finally get it done. In the meantime I had to cover the top of my car with plastic and duct tape so that the rains wouldn't further damage my car. When the day finally arrived, someone from the dealership met me at my work and drove the car to the dealership and back to me a few hours later. The damage was luckily covered by the warranty so I saved over $600. I also had them change my oil which I paid for myself. They also gave me a complimentary car wash. SCALPERS! They really do feed into the stereotypes of car salesmen. We're in the market for a '22 Santa Fe Limited Hybrid. Keyes had the exact trim and color we wanted. We called ahead of time, my wife talked to Miles the sales manager, he called us on the way there and told us that Fareed would be dealing with us. When we got there, did a quick test drive, literally the minute we got out of the car, Fareed immediately told us the sticker price isn't the price of the car. Now I understand MSRP is the manufacturer suggested price, dealerships have their own markups for whatever add-ons they have. Fareed began to tell us the even the markup price isn't the price of the car, THAT'S LISTED ON THE WINDOW STICKER because of "demand" they're asking for $8-10,000 more than MSRP. Why?? There isn't any additional add-ons, this isn't some special edition, one of a kind Santa Fe. He said "oh you go anywhere and it'll be the same thing" BS! We said we're not paying that, thanks have a good day. We left, called other dealerships, several others after dealing with this BS, and they all said the same thing "we don't markup over MSRP" or "we have add-ons that are a few thousand over MSRP" Add-ons, things that are beneficial to you as a customer, and will charge you because we're offering you more. Not, "oh well we're going to jack up the price because we can" $8-10,000 more. Honestly it's a great dealership but I've have to downgrade rating on Hyundai overall and the dealerships need to put a fire under Hyundai because they're going to lose business. Be very weary of buying a Hyundai, both of my Hyundais are no longer insurable in California due to how easy they are to steal, even after the most recent security recall. I had to really shop around to find someone to insure both cars since we got dropped by Esurance over this issue and now we're paying an extra $1200 a year to Farmers. I'll change this back to five stars once Esurance takes us back, I'll check back with them next year for renewal. We're leasing another car in January but going with another make as well unless this gets resolved by then. read more

Like others here have noted, the prices this dealer advertises are NOT the actual prices for the vehicles. If you try to buy one of their advertised cars, be prepared when you actually try to purchase to pay for "dealer add ons." These are not disclosed until you try to purchase the vehicle and are usually unnecessary items (i.e additional car alarm when the car already comes with one, "tire warranty," etc.) In my case it was nearly $2,000 of unnecessary and unwanted items they insisted on charging. I walked away and hopefully this review will save others an unnecessary trip to the dealership. So this is the second Hyundai dealership I took my car to. I took it here because the reviews were the highest out of all the Hyundai dealerships in my area. Unfortunately my experience was just as bad here. I was assigned Carlos M. as my service advisor. He seemed nice enough, but the first time I had I taken here it came up that I needed my catalytic converter replaced and exhaust needed a carbon clean out. I was told it would not be covered under warranty and the estimate was a few thousand dollars. I called a few mechanic shops that family has used to get price comparisons and one of them mentioned to me that the warranty for catalytic converters under California law is higher than Hyundais warranty and that by California law it should be covered. I called Carlos and mentioned what this mechanic said and he said he would ask his supervisor. The supervisor confirmed and my catalytic converter was in fact replaced under warranty. I'm posting this review to DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Hyundai is notorious for trying to get out of warranty replacements and this proves it. Sure Carlos may have been ignorant of this law and in the end of the day, it was replaced under warranty. But I know there's a lot of people that will just take their word for face value and have the parts they say need to be replaced; replaced no questions asked. If I did that I'd be out multiple grand! Carlos as a service advisor you should know your local law! And Hyundai needs to be held accountable for covering these parts! Especially the years that are a part of the class action lawsuit! If my review can stop even one person from buying a car made from this company I have succeeded. If you put out bad product you need to be held accountable for it. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever gotten. Thank god I didn't buy my car here and actually the service makes me not ever want to buy a car here, maybe not a Hyundai (even though I love my plug-in ionic) The story is that I lost my smart key and simply needed a replacement. I had to go to the service center. Ordered the key (which was $600). Had to call 5 times to follow up. Never got a call back. Turns out they had the key for 3 weeks. Never called me. Now I have to schedule the programming which they said takes 4 hours. No appointments for 6 weeks. Get there to find out the programming is an additional $175 even though was told that it was included beforehand. Also now told it was just a hour. They got it done in 15 minutes, would have been nice to know so I didn't Uber home only to come back. The attitude of the service staff is dismissive and never apologetic for a clearly terrible system. I've tried to be polite, but I have to say that I've never ever had such horrible service from any dealership ever. So my new car was totaled while it was parked on the street (I was not in it at the time). So here I was stuck buying a new car 2 months after I just bought one. My original car was a Toyota Venza, which I liked, not loved. I started shopping around again and found the Hyundai Tucson. I couldn't get the hybrid (out of stock) but this had pretty good mileage, 29 per gallon. As I shopped around I found that prices were going way way over MSRP. And salespeople didn't care if you bought or not, there was such limited inventory. I actually found a few quite rude. And then I found a unicorn in this business. I made a service appointment 3 weeks ago to repair the backup camera on my 2022 Hyundai, Elantra. I received around half a dozen appointment reminders via e mail, text message and phone calls. I did not receive one notice that they were backed up and I should probably reschedule. I went to the service department at the appointed time today. I was informed they were very busy and short staffed. I understand that happens. After having waited there for about 50 minutes I was approached by an employee informing me that diagnostics was so backed up that I would have to leave my car for a week and a half. This is completely unacceptable. No loaner cars are made available until after diagnostics looks at the car but I was told I could rent a car. Nearly 72 years on this earth, I know I can rent a car, I'm old, not stupid. Every person I spoke with who is affiliated with Keyes was lovely and patiently listened to my complaints. My biggest complaint it with the management and scheduling of appointments, specifically having to do with diagnostics. Since I have only one car I cannot bring my car to another Hyundai dealer for repair because I would only be provided a ride home within 5 miles. My husband and I have one car between us. I have never heard of such unreasonable service and If I could avoid this particular dealership for service I would go elsewhere. read more

They kept my car since july 2021. And messed up my car. They didn't find out the fault in my car then on next day they told me transmission problem. They fixed that transmission which i dont know if my car had a transmission problem. Never contacted me back for few months. In those time they provided me courtesy rental. But that doesn't mean they will kept my car for too long. 4th time I dropped off my car they havent fixed the issue. Then new management came. Service advisor len. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews here and on Google Reviews before bringing in my 2021 Hyundai Tucson for routine service here. Like others have stated, their facility is under construction and the "customer lounge" is a container and the toilets are porta-potties. They don't tell you this when you make the appointment. I was told there was wifi but it doesn't reach the inside of the "lounge" so I spent 5 hours working in an alley next to their construction site, on work Zoom calls, because that's the only place the wifi would reach. When I arrived for my 9:45am appointment there were literally 25 other cars pulling in for service at the same time. Raymond, my "advisor" explained that they only had 2 maintenance folks working that day and my car "might" be ready by 6pm but I might have to leave it overnight. I'm a full-time worker and I also have a toddler who needs to be picked up in our car (with our carseat in it!) every afternoon. This wasn't going to work for me and frankly, if they were THAT backed up, they should have called customers that morning with appointments and explained to them the situation so folks could reschedule. From there it was just one thing after another: after moving my car "to the front of the line" to make sure I could pick my son up from his childcare that afternoon, after 3 hours I was told it would be done in 1 hour. After an hour and a half I asked what was going on, and Raymond explained the car wouldn't, in fact, be done that day and they could give me a loaner vehicle. So.. you knew this over an hour and a half ago and made me wait, only to tell me in the end my car wouldn't be ready? I was not the only one there in this situation. This is a very common problem here! Service dept does not care at all about the customers time, talks down and is rude. This includes the service associates and the guys checking in cars. Raymond took 20 mins to grab my garage clicker from my vehicle once it was clear I wouldn't get it back that day and I noticed he was standing around on his phone while I'm waiting there for him. This guy is so unprofessional. Just save yourself the headache and take your vehicle elsewhere. I will never be returning here again. read more

I have left atleast 10-15 messages My car was transferred from Mission Hills Hyundai due to this same issue! I have now been carless x2 months . The car purchase experience was good. A lot of options, easy to negotiate price based on cheaper dealers. The terrible part is getting a service done on your new car. Not only are appointments hard to get, they over book and then expect you to wait for 3+ hours for an oil change. They do not tell you this at the time of scheduling, and 6 weeks later when you show up for your appointment, you wait 30-40 mins to get checked in (so don't bother showing up early) and then they inform you that they are "very busy" and that the service will take "3-4 hours" What?!?! That's insane. What's the point of having an appointment? And if you have a new car, jiffylube and other options don't have the parts available for the service, so you're forced to pick your nose for hours while waiting for your car. This is LA.. it's not easy to find a friend to pick you up and take you back when you live 30+ mins from the dealer. The service department needs to do better at scheduling and organization of vehicles so people aren't required to spend 1/2 a day waiting for an oil change. read more

I had the worse experience with this dealership it's been a month and now it's going on two months and I didn't get my car back yet. Alex is the worst, he is ignoring our calls. We are calling to check when we are going to get the car back. Hyundai sent us a safety recall letter to replace our engine because they used improperly heat treated piston rings in the engine of our vehicle. I just bought 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited Hybrid 2 month ago at a different dealership. I went to Hyundai Keyes Van Nuys because it's the closest to my house to fix the sounds my car makes. This will be my first and last time buying Hyundai. Not even driving for 200 miles on it, rattle sound comes from the dashboard around radio controller area. I told my sales consultant (not Hyundai Van Nuys and he said it should go away in no time. I should've told that to the service department but I decided to wait after a few miles more hoping it would go away. After a hundred few miles more, some plastics sound appear from the right front and rear passenger door trim. It's like something not tight enough. When I open the front window even a little bit, the sound is even worse. It also happens when I turn on the music. I don't listen to music that loud. No one would hear my music from outside my car. Every time the base hits, the plastic sound also following the rhythm. I went to Hyundai Van Nuys to fix it. The service drive manager and I drove the car. He could hear the rattle from the dashboard radio area. Not the door sound. After waiting for 7 hours, got texted by the service consultant said it's done. They took the plastic cap inside my glove box which I found hanging under the front ear of my car. They took a test drive and said the rattle sound is gone after removing the plastic cap inside the glove box. They did not open the dashboard or do anything, instead they just lied. It doesn't make any sense. This car is brand new and it's making rattling and noises. I am writing this because they did not take me seriously. I deserve what I paid for. read more

I had an appointment to which when I arrived it took my service adviser Jonathan Hughes 30 min to come out and speak with me. At this time, he told me it would take 3-4 days to diagnose my check engine light. He did not return any of my calls or update me. I had to contact the supervisor for an update. The supervisor Raymond stated he would cover the rental. Jonathan did call me when my car was ready stating that an oil change for $130 was recommended when I just had my car serviced there a couple of months ago and less than 2K miles have been put on my car. When I picked up my car, this same supervisor tried to state he didn't speak to me or agree to the rental even after I showed him my call log. He then tried to have me cover some of the days which I said I absolutely would not. As I was standing there waiting for my paperwork, Jonathan tells a male customer that he could diagnose his problem by the end of the day. Both Jonathan and Raymond were rude. It's only 5 minutes after.. But we have an appointment at 1:00PM That's unprofessional. If I have a client meeting me at 1:00PM I'm there 15 minutes before hand. The front desk says "she scheduled her break between 12-1:00PM So that either means she's not coming to meet at us at 1:00PM or she's stealing from the company, or quite possibly, We're not getting a new lease or financing a new car so they figure. Be warned. Dishonest and disrespectful. Arrived at 9:15am. Left at 4:30pm. My wife purchased her 2nd car from this dealer 2 weeks ago. I was there as moral support and watch the kids. As she test drove several cars, multiple salesmen kept talking to me about the process. I told them my wife was shopping for a car and not me. After my wife selected a car she wanted, I went home with the kids. 2 hr process. After an additional 5 hrs, my wife finally came home. She said Eddie, older Caucasian male, was assisting with the final ppw kept lying to her. He was deliberately being vague and telling my wife lies. 1. He told her she's getting a good deal. They negotiated the price from $21k to $19200. I sent my wife a screenshot of the dealer's online price of $19k. They spent some time starting at $21k. 2. He kept telling my wife that it was a good deal and that the $7k down payment works in her benefit. Well, $2k was for the trade-in, $2k was for fees and $3k was for the down. He would not clarify. 3. My wife was crying out of frustration by the way she was treated. Just Bc she is a female does not mean they should try to take advantage of her. In part, we will never return to this business.
