We liked the vehicles and would recommend both the Sonata and the Tucson. We cannot recommend this dealership. Other reviewers have complained about how women are treated by the male sales staff. I witnessed this. As a male, I was also treated in the aggressive, bullying, blood sport way car salesmen -used- to operate. That outdated, ugly way of doing business is still alive and well at this dealership. Came in here with my pops after going to Nissani Bros in Inglewood looking for a 2019 Elantra and attempting to trade in our current 2017 Hyundai. I'll break down why I gave them 3 stars. Customer Service (How they deal and how they treat you) - 5/5 stars. I've gotta say, they can really "almost" convince you. Me and my pops have tough skin so it's usually kind of difficult to deal with us because we do our research and go to various dealerships. And they did a very good job of negotiating and giving us a good interest rate, all while being respectful and courteous. I've gotta give it to their sales manager, he can really sell you. Customer's Preference (Giving you the car you really want to buy)- 0/5 stars My family doesn't have bad credit, so we knew what car we wanted and after going to a previous dealership we knew what the price range could be. The sales staff at Hyundai Van Nuys knew we wanted an Elantra but would onły give us "numbers" on a 2018 Sonota, which we really didn't want, so we didn't really want to budge on our price range. Therefore we didn't close a deal. Price Matching (Counter Offering another dealership's price on a car) - 0/5 stars I know I know, dealerships have a certain way of giving you numbers on cars and stuff. However, after going to Nissani Bros and getting a really good offer close to our price range on the car we really wanted and with a trade in, Hyundai Van Nuys wouldn't even budge. They claimed the other dealership had lied to us, which I highly doubt and also think is unprofessional of them to accuse another dealership just because they don't want to match their deal. In summary, 2/5 stars, maybe in the future I'd come around but if you're looking to buy a car, look for prices online, check other dealerships, and convince the sales team to match other dealerships price. If you want to be treated with misogynistic behavior- make sure to talk with "Marty" also known as Martin!! While it was known I was trading in MY car and I am buying a brand new one for myself, he decided to only speak and make eye contact with my boyfriend, spoke over me every time I started talking or to ask a question and progressively spun word circles with no relevance to anything we were asking, while getting louder and faster progressively attempting to bulldoze. I stopped him over three times to clarify a straight answer (he'll refuse to actually answer your questions) as well as also told him twice it'd be wise to answer and talk to me seeing as I was the one buying the car- not my boyfriend. When I asked him what down payment options were available, he wouldn't give an example or options, as well as told me interest rates weren't certain and that my credit score wouldn't be what I said it was. (Interest rates are on the website and he decided to deny those) The icing on the cake was that there was also no negotiating after he came with a quote after making us wait for 30 minutes- 12k over dealership sticker price. I am not a woman that is quiet or shy- so him talking over and down to me was not because I was timid. We started with a car salesman that was decently respectful and attempting to negotiate a deal. He had to go close his earlier deal and we were left with Marty from used cars. Above is the general gist of behavior without play by play detail. We should've refused to work with this man the second he walked up and acted like a prick. He kept using the chip shortage as a way to unethically charge 10-15k for a hybrid car. What they forget is that they get new hybrids in every week. Hybrids at VOLVO are 52k- a luxury car. They're asking 48k for a HYUNDAI that is originally around 37 top of the line. I would never give commission to this man or this dealership due the 8 minutes in which I've never been treated so condescendingly from the start. I originally wrote a review the day after shopping and deleted it, because the next day I called to see if there were other people to negotiate with. The manager seemed nice and normal, but then I realized him being nice doesn't excuse the disgustingness of his employee. The salesman was so excited about his honeymoon vacation (that supposedly would happen the day after) that made us feel very welcome and gave us full attention. I swear, we were there just to see the car, I was not expecting leaving with a new one. Not at all. car is having so they send you a text msg with the price and you either accept it or deny so that they can get that done too so they send me this I accepted one and denied the second because my car is 2016 Tucson its only a couple years old so I didn't know if I really needed it the services receptionist informed me that my brake fluid was really Black and dirty I went with my gut and I denied it something was fishy because I just recently took it to another shop and they told the brake fluid was fine.. so when I got home my bf checked it and guess what the fluid was clean and clear not dirty they could've stolen 159.99 out of my pocket so they were trying to SCAM ME ! This is only the 1st problem. My second problem was my air conditioner I noticed my a/c kept fluctuating cold air and warm air keep in mind I have a 3yr old that I am with all day and I take her everywhere with me and I have expressed them how bad I need my a/c to be fixed ! I took my car to HYUNDAI 2-3 times because of my a/c issue and every time they told me my a/c was fine and I have the proof through the text msgs that I had with the service receptionist Veronica and she told me that they were fixing my A/C because it is Under warranty ! When i picked up vehicle happy because now I am going to have a working a/c BOY WAS I WRONGED AGAIN MY A/c was still fluctuating warm and cold air and it's still shaking.!!!! What the hell. ! I called and I told Veronica it's still not throwing full on cold air ! This is RIDICULOUS ! TERRIBLE ! She told me to come back but they should've fixed my issue already shouldn't they have checked everything was working 100%! But they didn't ! I have been looking for a new car for a few months, I did a lot of test drives of different cars and different brands: 1 series BMW, Lexus IS, Kia Optima, but there was just something so cool and fun about driving the HYUNDAI VELOSTER! No, this isn't a joke! (Well its totally affordable too!) So after months and months of test driving and getting myself financially situated for a new car and all the payments to come with it, I walked into Keyes Hyundai on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I was referred to this location because a friend had bought a Sonata and said Richard Chan was simply the best. I called ahead and made sure he was working that day, didn't want to have to drive from OC all the way out there. When I got there, I fell in love, with the Veloster of course. Richard is a busy and popular man, so I was understanding. I had told him exactly what I wanted, blue with black interior and additional tech and style package. Sadly, he didn't have it available that day, but he was able to make a few phone calls, and promised to have it deliver to OC to me by Tuesday! Delivery? I didn't know they did that! So we spent another 2 hours going back and forth on my financial situation. (broke nursing student) and finally, he was able to meet my offer. I was sooooo excited for Tuesday to come! Then on Monday around noon I had recieved a call from Richard saying my car was already in, and if I was free that evening he would have it delivered to me! CAN YOU NOT SAY, BEST SERVICE EVER!! I love this place!!!!!! My mom is now looking for another car, I called up Richard, he remembered me and is assisting us to locate a used lexus for my mom. My initial post about this location wasn't too pleasant but I'm glad my boyfriend was able to convince me in forgiving and moving on to getting the deal I got today. Jon Nelson was the person I worked with and he took care of me. He was sincere with everything he said. He went above and beyond to make sure I got the car I wanted. Not once did he try to push a sale on me. I've already done all my research, compared offers given by other locations and knew how much I'm willing to pay. Service review: I hate waiting. And i understand if there's a long queue of other cars to be worked on, but if the initial estimate is an hour to an hour and a half, but it actually takes twice as long in the end (more than 3 hrs).. that is a bit frustrating. They do have a shuttle service that can take you home, but I decided to wait it out because I live all the way in Woodland Hills and expected to not be here too long. So I waited, ate a complimentary donut, waited, drank a nice coffee, waited and waited some more. 2 stars because of the decent coffee and free wi-fi (although it was a bit unreliable and slow). Also, I got a live person confirmation call soon after requesting to book an appointment online so that was good. I'm pretty sure it didn't take 3 total hrs to diagnose the car because it already had a check engine light on. If i had the equipment I would use it myself to determine the error code, but apparently it was a "software" issue causing the random misfiring and intermittent jerking. Therefore, I assume I would've had to take it to the dealership anyway for the SW update. I still don't completely understand the explanation I was given, but I was so ready to get out of here that I didn't ask too many questions. Staff was nice though and they try, I mean I could clearly see it was quite busy (it was a Friday). When the car finally showed up back in the driveway, the printer was not cooperating so I had to wait longer to get my paperwork (of course!). Fortunately, the "repairs" were covered under warranty and I didn't have to pay a dime... just spent a few good hours of my life though. At least the car got washed and the problem seems to have been fixed! read more

The service department at Keyes Hyundai in Van Nuys has no respect for their customers' time. Went for ONLY warranty work- twice because they didn't have the part at our first appointment- despite having made an appointment. Both times, the wait was double the amount of time estimated for the repair. Flood of emails to remind me of and confirm the appointments and then absolutely no regard for my time when I arrived. Lot's of excuses and apologies, but frankly I'm not interested. And to top it off, my key fob no longer works properly (the one I had with me or the one at home) as they clearly screwed up a setting which will require me to to go back to have them fix their mistake. If only I could get a call back from ANYONE in the service department, I could close this chapter and never go back again. Skip this joint....they stink read more

He should get a raise for great customer service. Imraz the MANAGER total douche bag! He was pushy and acting as if we couldn't go anywhere else to get a better deal. Didn't even want to appraise my car. My up husband and I felt so uncomfortable. We told him several times we had to discuss it in private at home and he said to just talk right there while he waited. if i could give 0 stars? i would. its been a week since i first called for help with my matter. i left a voicemail, no one got back to me. yesterday i called at 5, i got hung up on three times. the fourth time, i left my name and a phone number asking for them to call me back. did i get a call back? you guessed it, no. this morning i called at 8:15 (i decided to give them time to unload instead of calling and being annoying as soon as they open). i was told that the financing manager didn't get in until 9. perfect. so what did i do? i called at 9:15 (again, i didn't want to bombard as soon they came into work). can you guess what happened? they hung up on me, three more times. so i called again and told the operator i needed to speak to someone, anyone who wouldn't hang up on me because its happened a total of six times in two days. she apologized and said that there was only one manager available and that the other two came into office at 10 and 12. she took my name and number and told me that would be the first thing they did when they came in. it was 3, didn't get a call so i came in person instead. front desk girl? had a small attitude. waited an hour and still nothing. finally i asked for a manager, she brings me a sales manager who tells me i need to speak to finance to solve my issue ... which i already knew. so what does he do? he brings me a finance manager who wasn't busy. but wait, didn't the front desk girl tell me they were all busy with clients? yes. yes she did. the finance manager ended up being the manager who helped me a year ago when i purchased my vehicle. i will be making a whole different review on just him because he deserves all the stars possible. overall, sucky experience. the one star given here, goes to the sales manager who got me in contact with the finance manager in a minute after the receptionist told me they were all busy. id give this more stars for that sales manager specifically but the overall service is what this review is about and it doesn't deserve the stars. read more

I purchased back in octubre 2021 a 2022 palisade, Mauricio was wonderful. But Jason the sales manager came out we "agreed on a price" after all the commotion I realized he gave me the high price, I called him right away he said let me talk to my manager we won't be able to give you a check but I can get you a gift card, I waited for his call to confirm, it never happened. After leaving the dealer I red light came on it said error on lane detection. I brought it back to the dealer 3 days after. They ask me to leave it there for a week, so they can check what it was,they said it had a broken sensor. That since it was a new car and they had shipping delays it would take long. I waited 2 months, I had to call and ask they said they finally got it but they never called me to inform the part was in. Going back to the Jason topic it's been 10 months every time I call I leave a voice message never calls me back. I have even sent emails to his manager and him and no replies. Every time I call and ask for them my call gets disconnected. Take your business elsewhere, I recommend Hyundai mission hills and Hyundai Glendale. This place sucks I got a bad car and payed a high price on the msrp I even asked Jason to give me the bars instead of money back he laughed and say they are $500 and your different.
