I had a beyond unprofessional, awful experience here. Particularly with Karim Sahnoun. I purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle in September of 2015 and I waited to write a review for four months to ensure I wasn't bashing someone in the heat of the moment. I have managed sales teams of 10+ people within professional service firms, so I understand what sales is about. When you sell a product, you don't lie to a customer about the product, demean and mistreat them, pretend that they won't notice that you haven't followed through on promises and commitments, and ask them to go out of their way so you can make an extra buck. Karim and his team did JUST this. From the first moment, I said I would pay in cash, as I did, as long as certain commitments were met. We agreed on a price for: the car, all weather mats, a new trunk mat (because the one in the car was stained), and of course a full tank of gas and clean car. I told them i was in a rush and they told me to return in 30 minutes. When I came back, 30 minutes turned into 3 hours and when he said it was finally "all set" there were #1 no all weather mats or a new trunk mat in sight, the gas tank was half full and he said the car was clean and ready, yet there was dirt on the window that i could draw a picture with my finger and there was debris in the car. I asked him where the mats were and he laughed at me and my mother and said "ha! what mats?" and WINKED at us - i'm seriously still disgusted writing this. And he kept saying "thank you thank you" and waving us off the lot. This kept going on and on about more than just this. Finally he caved and said he'd get the mats, 3 hours after the promise "30 minute" window, and he said "oh whoops sorry, we will have to order them and you will have to drive back here to get them any day after tomorrow. I promise they will be here tomorrow." which was annoying but at that point I was so upset that i left. Right after I drove off of the lot, i was sitting at a red light and a teenager rear ended me and dented my bumper. I called the dealer to see #1 if my car had certain sensors on it (I had to report that to her insurance) and #2 if I could get it repaired ASAP. I called three times within two days and didn't get ONE call back. Tell me that isn't professional? I needed to know the features on my car and they couldn't give me a call back. I just paid $40k in cash for this car and can't get a measely call back. I was so infuriated, I went to the Santa Monica Lexus dealership where they were absolutely incredible and rolled out the red carpet, unlike keyes lexus. Four days later, I go back to get the all weather mats (at keyes lexus) that I was promised and went up to my sales guy to the response "oh whoops, sorry today you can't pick them up. I know i told you any day would work but i forgot to tell you the service department isn't open today"... I had driven 30 minutes to get these mats after all of the above had taken place. I have yet to get to the best part. Lexus in Santa Monica calls me and tells me that there is so much more damage to the car than what was caused during the accident. They said it looked like my car had been taken to a teenage spray painter who had spray painted the chrome on my grill and side chrome detailing and my side rear view mirrors, there were 10 scratches (unrelated to the fender bender), they had glued instead of taped certain portions of the car back on that were protruding AND although they had taken a portion of my bumper, they couldn't pre-paint my new bumper because the paint job was so poorly done and mismatched that they didn't want to paint it the wrong color. I told them it was a newly purchased pre-owned lexus and they were humiliated and asked which salesperson I had purchased it from at the santa monica location. After I told them I bought it at keyes lexus, they weren't surprised. After everything had happened, I decided to call the manager of Keyes Lexus. I left three voicemails over 2 weeks before I finally received a call back. I then called three more times before I received another call back. I tried again and no response. I have emailed in reviews and comments with no response. I bet this happens all of the time and I may be the 1/100 person who has to leave a review to get them to hopefully change their ways. I'll be shocked to get a call after this. Shows what $40k of customer service gets you. I'm happy to say that I have had four friends purchase lexus vehicles since then, who were intending to go to keyes, and then switched to the santa monica location. I will continue to spread the word about keyes customer service, their view on "quality" and the ways the deceived me. I also forgot to mention that throughout this entire exchange they kept saying "you're going to give us a 5 star review right?" after he forgot the mats he said, "fine, if i give you the mats, you'll give a 5 star review?" Well I Came into keyes lexus to get an oil change,and i have been waiting here for over 2 hours and I am getting annoyed. First of all this was my first time, when i entered the service department no one was there to greet me ended up waiting for like 15min before someone help me start the service. Just got an oil change, and then these guys want to charge me for some fuel injection cleaner bullshit that cost like 50 buck, but he did also advised me to get my tire turn around ($70.00). Still waiting at the dealership, I should have read the yelp review before coming to this place. All the other reviews are pretty spot on. read more

This place is terrible. I went there last weekend fully intending to get the 2015 RX 350. I was told that the car I was interested in was a brand new car. It wasn't until they pulled the car out for me to see that they told me it was a demo model with 1500 miles. When I called them out on it, they acted like i was the one being unreasonable. The fleet manager was terrible. She was more interested in getting out of there than making a sale. She came out to greet me when I got there. After that she was gone. She came out when she realized there was an issue. When I asked her to come down on the price, she refused. Gave me some crap about how the price would go up if it was a new car. Later found out that they can't represent a car with that many miles on it to be new. I walked out. Never go here. The people are rude and arrogant! They lost a sale. I will be getting my new Lexus from El Monte where the manager David was willing to listen to me and come down in price on a brand new car with less than 100 miles. read more

A Truly Great Experience! We made the deal over the Internet and by telephone. We worked with Shaw Namini and Sam Santosa. These guys were amazing!!! They provided us with a detailed OTD offer on Thursday night and we drove down from Las Vegas on Friday morning to take delivery. When we arrived, Shaw met with us and throughly explained all of the many intricacies of the vehicle. Then we reviewed the contract terms that were to the exact penny of our agreement made over the Internet. We then met briefly with the finance manager and prior to leaving, Shaw helped us download the associated apps to our phone so that we be able to display the Nav data and communicate with one another on the trip back to Las Vegas. The entire dealership visit took less than 2 hours. Shaw and Sam were not low pressure salespeople... they were NO pressure sales people!!! Both of these gentlemen were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I'm almost 60 years old and this was by far the best car buying experience of entire my life! Two thumbs up!!! read more

I was in the market for the CT 200h F Sport Special Edition and used Truecar.com to get a price that's $500 above invoice (Truecar is great btw). Keyes Lexus happened to be one of the dealers that would honor Truecar's price. My dealing with them started pleasantly enough. I emailed and spoke with their Internet manager Sam over a week-long period. He was pretty transparent and gave me a breakdown of what cars were available and he honored the Truecar price. I decided to come in over the weekend to test drive the car and maybe negotiate a deal. I came and was helped by Dave the product specialist who brought Sam to meet me. Sam and I only met for a brief few seconds and Dave took over the rest of the process. Dave was pleasant and friendly as he took me on the test drive and he was also good to deal during the credit application process. My issue with this dealership however started when Dave brought me to meet the sales manager Edmund. First off, I thought I already agreed with Sam on the $500 above invoice but Edmund offered to sell the car at MSRP. I actually had to show him the email from Sam agreeing to the Truecar price for him to honor it. I was beginning to smell sleazy dealer tactics and it got worse... I brought in my 06 Acura TL for trade-in. According to KBB this car is valued at around $13.5K so I was expecting the dealership to low ball me and offer maybe 11K for it. Well Edmund offered $7.5K for the car which felt like a slap in the face to me. He then proceeded to belittle the value and condition of my car to justify that ridiculous price. I politely refused the deal and was ready to leave the office. Edmund and Dave then went to sleazy dealer trick #2: They both left the office and "tried to get a better price on the car." If you've ever bought a car at a dealership before, you know this is an extremely common practice but I subjected myself to it anyway to see what price they'll come up with next. They came back and offered $9.5K for it... I politely refused it again and Edmund finally offered $10.5K. This is still way below what I'm willing trade my car in for so I left the dealership. I really felt offended by their ridiculous offers. The day after I emailed Keyes Lexus in Valencia and they were able to give me an offer over email of $12K for my trade-in. I haggled a little more and got a final price of $13.5K... all this over email nevertheless... I came in that same night. Michael and Gabi over at Lexus Valencia looked at my trade-in and actually praised my car for being so clean and in good condition.... nothing like what I got from Keyes Van Nuys. They were both very friendly and helpful and there was no more haggling to be done. They honored the $500 above invoice right away, got me the agreed $13.5K on my trade-in without issues, and got me .9% financing. The paperwork process only took about an hour and now I'm happily driving my new Lexus. The irony of all this is that both dealerships are owned by Keyes but it's obvious that they both have very different business practices. read more

My husband & I were looking into buying another Lexus and when we were ready to settle on a price, the guy they sent us to was not friendly @ all & he had a very heavy accent. He then broke down our payment plans by means of pen & paper. Uh, no! I wanted them to calculate our monthly payments in the computer and it should be the price we had agreed on, not the bs crap the guy was scribbling on the sheet of paper that didn't make sense. Then he goes on to tell us if we give him more on the down payment, it'll tally up to some ridiculous # that was far from the price we agreed on and he said that we don't have to have the actual down payment written in the invoice. Ok, we all know why people don't go to the dealership, but let me tell you some reasons why I go and why I go to Keyes Lexus. I have had several cars and went to the Beverly Hills Mercedes dealership for about a decade, where they gave you an espresso and a rose and all we wanted was better service. I didn't even know how bad that service was until I came to Keyes Lexus. Bill Horvat is my guy, and I mean that in every sense of the word. He champions my car's needs like it was his own and lets me know every step of the way the cost and what is happening and doesn't gouge me. He stands behind everything they do and that has come in handy several times because cars having so many moving parts. To have a one stop shop where they are the only ones touching my car, they can be the ones to fix whatever it needs and often Bill is letting me know things are covered under warranty that I was sure wasn't. It is not just a money factory in there. Bill has been my guy for five years and I believe he truly cares and that makes me feel safe as a woman who doesn't know a thing about cars. Sometimes things get bigger than Bill's athority and he brings it to his boss, Allan Pliss, the service manager, who is a super compassionate guy that makes things right. He gets it and has done right by me that I know for a fact other dealtherships would simply laugh at. They are about the return customer and they have one in me. Life is always handing you problems, and that my car is not one that has to be added to the list is just good news. They always get me a loaner, they never rush me, and I have never had to push Bill for an answer, he is on it and keeps in touch with me every small step and that to me is white glove, red carpet service. Not only will I continue to go there, my next car will also be a Lexus and I will be buying if from Keyes Lexus and Bill will be my service rep on that one. PS, not that is should matter because a lounge has nothing to do with how well they take care of your car, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention it because it is outstanding. Soda, coffee, WARM cookies, fruit, computers, wifi, all in a lovely setting where people don't look in a hurry to even leave. You can get plenty of work done there if needed, but they are so good with the rentals that I don't usually wait, but when I do it goes quickly as I snack and work until they call my name. I never hesitate when I know I need to bring it in because I know it is going to be fixed quickly. That is piece of mind and for that I am grateful. Five stars people. read more

I bought a used Lexus yesterday from Luis. He and Hadi, his manager, provided great serviced. They both worked really hard to make a deal that would fit in my budget. The guy who wrote everything up was super helpful too and cut me a good deal on an extended warrantee. I didn't intend to buy the first car I looked at, but they made it irresistible. WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!!! I am not one to take my time and write reviews, but I felt the need to express the kind of treatment I was given at this Lexus dealership. I don't even know where to begin.. I went in last Saturday, days after Christmas, and I can understand that it can be a busy season with the holidays and the December to Remember deal going on, but it does not take more than 5 seconds of their time to greet or acknowledge a potential client. I walked in there without being greeted (mind you, they were fully staffed with 2 receptionists) of course they were too busy chatting with the sales personnel. Only reason I know it was not work related was because I had to approach them and I was able to overhear their *plans for the weekend*. When I finally got someone to assist me, he asked me what I was looking for. I said I was looking for a white IS 250 or 350. He replies with "we only have a Crafted line, but its costs around $45,000-$48,000." Who does he think he is to make such rude comment? So unprofessional. So, I decided to take a look at it. I was not very fond of the red leather seat interior. He brings over his "manager." He tries to sell me another model because he said it was a "cheaper payment" (this is all being said before any credit check was done) I refused because I knew what car I wanted. The manager then tells me there is a car in their inspection department, and sends us over to take a look at it. We had to take the elevator, but of course as to be expected, it was broken and out of service. So, we take the stairs down and the sales guy literally took us in circles for about 10 minutes, until he finally gave up and realized the car was not there. We walked up the stairs to the front of the dealership and tells us to take a seat and his "manager" will assist us shortly. Shortly turned into 15 minutes, until I decided to go seek for assistance. As potential buyers, we don't care who sells us the car. They work in a commission based environment, so you would think they would be attentive to their clients. Last, but not least... I finally get the "manager" to "help me" (which was not much help) to show me another IS 250 in any color. At this point I just wanted to walk out, but I wanted to at least test drive the car. He has me wait another 10 minutes for another guy to help me, but he couldn't find the keys. That was the boiling point to this shopping experience. I made him show me the car, and then said I was no longer interested. As bad as my experience was with this horrible dealership, I am thankful in some sort of way because now I am doing business at their neighboring BMW dealership. Not only were they very friendly and helpful, but also knowledgeable of my needs. So thank you for your horrible service, Lexus. I would of been stuck with a 3-5 year lease agreement with a company who clearly does not know how to treat their clients. Almost perfect buying experience, but their finance person screwed it up. Luckily, I met a person who walked me through the details of the options, allowed me to test-drive all Lexus models, and waited half a day for me to make the right buying decision. However, when I moved to the 2nd floor to close the purchase, I was introduced to this young girl who was plain rude throughout the closing process. Maybe, her rudeness was understandable because I didn't buy any dealer's extended maintenance and care contract from her, even though she tried to sell that to me for about 30 mins and I rejected. But she forgot to get right documents from me. The day after the purchase, she called me and said I need to bring in some documents. I live in Santa Barbara so I just wanted to send a mail and enclose the document to her. But she insisted that they need the document ASAP and otherwise the deal will not close. I was irritated so asked her name. She said bring the document to "D####", a girl's name. So I thought that was her name. Then, I visited the dealership again the next weekend and brought the document to whoever was available. I met this guy who seemed to be her boss. I explained that I brought the document and he asked me who was the finance person. I said "D####". But it turned out that "D####" was another female with the finance department, and the boss guy explained to me that I didn't have to bring the document in. What a total waste of my time. 4/28/2015 - UPDATE That woman messed up the bank finance paper too. I'm getting calls from the bank that I got the auto loan saying they have me as a French and I need to redo the paperwork as a foreigner. read more

I drove up from San Diego on superbowl sunday and was back in time (45 min.) before it started to watch the game. Marya with internet sales updated me on the two cars I was interested in before I drove up, I arrived when the dealership opened up and met with Chad we went on a short test drive. One hour and fifty min later Chad walked me out and I was on the road. Fedy Giragosian was very transparent with my finiance options he was very easy to deal with. RYAN ODUM - easiest transaction buying a car I've had, professional, down to earth, genuine, proficient (etc.) salesman!!! I called the receptionist and asked for the best, no haggle, get it done efficient Salesman - she gave me to Ryan. With-in 5-10 minutes we strategized on how to find the car I wanted (I knew what I wanted, was pre-approved, etc.) We scheduled an appointment. We agreed on what options I wanted and he went to work! One hour later I'm at the Dealership and he was johnny-on-the-spot ready. I was out of there with my gorgeous new car that I love, with-in a couple hours. He listened, gave an alternative option I wasn't really considering - but, because he listened not only to what I wanted, but to my personality - he thought it was a better fit/style and had it ready and waiting for the test-drive. Impressive. The negotiations began. It went smoothly and quickly and I ultimately got a better car than the ones I was considering - Yay! I went online and filled out the questionnaire about Keyes Lexus to buy my 2018 Lexus RX350 . It came back and said it would give 37,500. Then they called and told me I would need to come in to the store so I did. When I got there they appraised it again and now they would only offer 30,000 . It is a pretty crummy way to get you to come into the store . Please be careful before you go there I would call this a shady way of doing business. By the way before I went to Keyes I went to car max so I knew what my car was worth they offered my 36,000 so that way I know Keyes Lexus IS full of CRAP watch out !!!!!!! read more

My mom brought my car here. When I called to check what's going on with my car-I've been transferred 5 time to different extension and no one can tell me what happened to my car. The worst thing is they don't even know that my car is there. This is very scary and show poor management from Lexus. U would think its Lexus-but they suck. I bought my car from Keyes Lexus and was a fool long enough to actually have them service it for over 2 years. Start, 2006, I emailed them, checking to see if they had the model car I wanted with the options I was looking for (IS 350 with the sports package or x package). Received a reply that yes, they did. Drove in, asked to talk to the person that emailed me and was promptly handed over to a salesman. Asked to confirm if they had the model and options I was looking for and was told they had so many, we had to drive to the storage lot to check. Hmm, the email reply was very definite that they had what I wanted why are they unsure now? That should have been my first clue, but hey, I wanted a new car so continue I did. I gave them the keys to my current car to evaluate for trade in. They also asked for my insurance card to take a copy for the test drive. Then off we went to the storage lot down the street. Look and look, they don't have exactly what I'm looking for. The car they offered up did not have the radio system upgrade and but did have the wood inlay upgrade -- not a fan of the wood inlays. Test drove a couple of cars, steering and suspension is not as tight as the Audi, but I really wanted to get rid of the Audi because the warranty was ending and I'd taken it in 8 times the previous year so, ok, let's start bargaining. I set my price with my current car as trade-in. We go back and forth and they won't budge and I don't budge. I'm ready to go but they still haven't given me my insurance card back. I ask for it back. 15 minutes later, still no insurance card. I ask for it back again. 15 minutes later still no insurance card. They keep trying to haggle instead. i started getting loud and ask for the manager. Give me my insurance card so I can frickin leave! That should have been my second clue. The manager comes in and asks what the problem is, I told him I want my insurance card back so I can go. He starts haggling. I explain to him my budget and my price. I'm not budging. Take my offer or give my insurance card back or I'm calling the police. He continues haggling. We end up settling on $500 above my price. I thought I was happy. I bring in my car for the first scheduled maintenance. I hear a guy ranting to a service agent about how they're ripping him off. That should have been my third clue. I ignore him cause I have a brand new car, what could go wrong? Well over the next 2 plus years, I had to have my brakes serviced 3 times. Rotorred twice and completely new once. And after all that, they still kept squeaking. When I asked the service guy why they kept having to be done, he said they were high performance brakes. Really? I told him I had high performance brakes in the Audi and never had to change them in the 4 years I had the Audi. He said Lexus makes special brakes that are a little softer to help with the noise. Again, really? Cause I've never had brakes squeal as much as these. That should have been my fourth clue. Keyes Lexus and I part ways. So the last time I dealt with Keyes' service department, they were supposed to replace my brakes. I was charged over $700 for it. When I received the email receipt, it said they only rotored my brakes. Really? I was pretty pissed and felt ripped of. I finally saw the light and decided I was going to take my business elsewhere. When I received the Lexus service survey, I gave Keyes Lexus a very poor rating and explained why I was never going to return to Keyes Lexus. A week later, I received a call from the service guy that used write up my service tickets at Keyes. He wanted to know why I gave them such a poor rating so I told him. Then he started getting arrogant about how I didn't know anything about performance cars and so I didn't understand. Well Keyes Lexus, I may not know anything about performance cars but I know this, since I stopped going to your service department (and started going to Lexus Westlake Village) 2 years ago, I haven't had to do anything with my brakes, once. Hmmm, 3 times in 2 years at Keyes Lexus and 0 times at Lexus Westlake Village. Makes you wonder. P.S. When we were haggling over my trade in, I kept quoting the Kelly Blue Book trade in value. Their response: Kelly Blue Book is not buying your car. True, I agree, but KBB's job is to evaluate and compile the average price as a guide line for consumers. They snub the KBB. So go there at your own risk. read more

I had heard from a friend, who said his broker did not like to do business with Keyes and suggested avoiding these dealerships. I disregarded this information because I felt like a broker experience would be different AND since i'm buying a Lexus, I figured the brand reputation would trump any dealer issues. The dealer experience was OK- they offered about 52% of the final negotiated value for my trade in, which was a severe lowball offer. The final price I got was almost double their initial offer, but still about 10% below Kelly Blue Book wholesale/trade in value. Anyway, the salesperson and finance stuff went well and relatively quickly. HOWEVER, my credit union said they are unable to complete financing because the title is not "perfected" and that there are DMV fees owed. I called yesterday and today but have not received a return call. I'm hoping I hear back and all is resolved, allowing me to add a couple of stars! UPDATE: Someone from Lexus posted a comment, very nice, offering to help, and after a call to my credit union, all seems good. Perhaps the credit union was the weak link. Loan is funded, so hoping the DMV fee issue is worked out and I don't get a notice that I owe fees later. read more

The sales staff knew the vehicle had transmission and other problems and they still had the vehicle for sale on there lot.luckyily i took the vehicle to get checked but the dealership wouldnt do anytjing. what a place for junk pre owns. Terrible sales, terrible service. Made an appointment to buy an ES350. They call to remind you, but when you arrive they overbook. I received 1 salesman for 2 customers. The other customer was an LS460, so I got as little attention as possible. Bought the car but what torture. They are a waste of time. New car delivery is a joke. The car was soaking wet, dirty inside, and another associate took pity on me and setup the link for the front gates. What a waste of time and money. We bought a used Prius from their used car lot. More than disappointed. We were told it was certified and had been fully inspected. That's why we paid the extra. Months later, (of course we had no recourse), we find out the car had been in some sort of unreported accident and was missing important parts under the front end and the wheel wells. Also, the price negotiated at the table was not the price written up on the loan. I would not recommend buying a car from Keys. read more

I bought a car here about 8 months ago and that experience was fine. I am having a problem with the navigation, took it to get fixed. It was going to take about 3-1/2 hours, which is understandable. I wanted to get a ride in a shuttle back to work and the guy told me he couldn't take me back because they didn't have an appointment and it wasn't his fault that my Navigation isn't working. So I will never buy another car here or will I go back to there service department. read more

Is it possible to give someone 'zero' stars? If so, that honor goes to Keyes lexus. The facility looks really nice from the outside. Don't be misled by that though!!! Monster salesmen reside within that good looking exterior!!! The sales staff is horrible!!! We tried negotiating for a Lexus RX, and the sales guy wouldn't even sit with us to negotiate. He stood there trying to argue with us on the price. It was as if he was selling a pen that cost $5!!!! He was really rude too. And when we complained to his manager (Who did not seem the least bit interested in selling a car), the manager just mumbled 'I will talk to him'!!! No wonder Lexus is losing its customers. With dealerships like 'Keyes Lexus' and such crazy sales people (His first name starts with 'S'), I'd rather buy some other brand of car. read more
