    Fried Chicken Sandwich
    Samantha D.

Came on a Wednesday night to try their new fried chicken sandwich. Ordered to-go. The sandwich is seasoned well, but doesn't compare to Popeye's. It wasn't a good type of crispy, was stale-ish. Chicken was dry, but bearable. It wasn't as thick as Popeye's. Buns were good, soft. Sauce was creamy, but that was really it. Staff are pretty slow at this time. Would I get the chicken sandwich again? Probably not.

3 pc original cooked with rice, bone broth, seasoning, and my kimchi and my chili oil to make everyones fav rice cooker chicken!

Yes, 4 stars for a fast food chain. Calm yourself. I love spending time in my kitchen. Feeding my loved ones healthy delicious meals and baking wonderful treats is my secret weapon to feel happy every day. KFC? Yes darlings. When you are tired and just want to get dinner on the table, no need to call for takeout. No need to microwave whatever frozen thing you know won't look in real life like it does on the box. Get your rice cooker, some uncooked rice, chicken bone broth, spices, and nestle that KFC chicken on top of the rice then start the cycle and voila! Tender chicken, beautifully seasoned rice and all of that took little effort and less than 20 minutes! Dress it with green onions and your home made chili oil and your home made kimchi. Your family will love it and you will feel happy you fed them well. YouTube is your friend if you are not skilled in the kitchen for recipes and tutorials. This KFC location has staff in protective wear with carry-out option that is super easy and fast. Grab a 3 piece box of chicken on your way home and try the rice cooker situation. Did you know in Japan everyone orders KFC for the holidays that they have massive pre-orders? Lucky for us, we can get it any time. Stay healthy!

    spicy chicken sandwich

Take out 6/3/2021. Nowadays, almost every fast food joint has a new spicy chicken sandwich. There was a big $4 spicy sandwich promotion poster outside of this KFC. My first bite into this sandwich put a slight smile on my face. It was a familiar taste of a regular piece of KFC chicken without the grease with a mild level of spice. The bun was soft and buttery. The orange sauce was a little tangy. The center of the chicken breast was a bit dry. Overall, it wasn't bad and went above my expectations. Popeye's is still better, hands down.

A new chicken sandwich place at SF State? Yes please. Located in the Cesar Chavez Student Center in…read morethe central part of the campus, it's on the lower floor of the building. I've been seeing signs outside the building for awhile now, and have heard from others who have tried Crave to give them a try. One time a colleague brought it in with some curly fries on the side, so obviously that means I have to try it now. The pricing for the food here is adequate. With other options on campus that's comparable, they had to make sure that it wasn't too expensive, and they're not. They do also offer vegan options, which I'm sure is a plus for many on campus, at least for a few people I know who would like this option. The online ordering process is fine. They go through snack pass, so if you're new to it it doesn't take long to register through it. There is a service fee of course, but not too bad since it's just for the app usage. There's Apple Pay available but also regular credit card payments accepted. They also do Grub Hub, through seamless but just be aware of the additional price increases as a result. The food here is okay. Nothing out of the ordinary, but also decent. The chicken sandwiches here is the tender style sandwich. Rather than one single piece patty style, it's multiple tenders inside. The sauce here is alright. I got the Korean and ranch sauces. The sandwich was just decent, but I've certainly had better. I actually enjoyed the curly fries more than anything, and they give you a pretty good portion of it for the price so I may just order that next time for the side by itself. Overall, Crave's is not a bad option, especially for students and staff that are on campus. The price is comparable, and perhaps on the cheaper side if you just want the sandwich, and you can also do the combo meals w/curly fries and drink. It's basically all self-order online or through their kiosks in front of the kitchen. There's not much staff there, so when they get busier could be a wait. Food is adequate, but nothing spectacular. Since I work on campus, I'll probably be back again at some point, at the very least, for those curly fries.

I ordered the Chicken Fresh Spring Rolls to go and the wait was about 5 minutes which is impressively quick. The portion was decent and the peanut sauce was genuinely good. There was so little sour cream, not that much corn, not that much fajitas, the guac wasn't much either and I had to dig to find the chicken pieces. I honestly don't know why they don't know how to portion everything correctly. It doesn't make sense because I remember walking into the store and before my order was ready I saw that they had a substantial amount of everything. Also I arrived early before my pick up order was ready, there was no line and the guy working could've at least made my order right then and there so I wouldn't have waited. It doesn't take that long to assemble the bowl.....so he told me to wait and i went out to get some air and came back. Tbh it's better to place your orders in person and not do order ahead online for pick up, that way u can at least see how much they put in your bowls. Got there at 5:45pm, asked for my food, cashier said food will be ready in a few mins, that's no problem. Asked cashier for my drink cup first and sat there quietly. 10 mins has passed by, asked cashier is my food ready yet, cashier apologized and said the food will be ready in few mins. There is barely anyone waiting in line, just a few people. 20 mins has passed by, I asked the cashier again is my food ready, "your food is still not ready yet." Waited another 5 mins and 25 mins has passed by. At this point, requested the cashier to just cancel my food order and give me back my money. Cashier had told me to cancel the food order on the app. I told the cashier why are you guys making me do more work. At this point, I'm already annoyed. Just cancel my order on your end. After waiting for 25 mins, the cashier goes in the back and shows Chris (the manager) some kind of slip, assuming it's my order. Chris (the manager) is on the tablet at the front register, I asked him, "are you the manager." Chris said, "Yeaaaaaa, I'm the manager, I'm busy right now." The time is currently now 6:10pm, 30 mins has passed by. Waited for another 5-7 mins, and a worker in the back finally brings out my bag of food. I asked the worker to let me speak with the manager Chris in the back. Worker comes back and said manager is busy. I stood there waiting for a few mins. Chris the manager comes out. I showed Chris on my phone that the time is now 6:20pm. I told him I waited 40 mins. I showed Chris the promised time on my bag is 5:40pm. Chris advised me that their computer system was down. If the computer system was down, why was everyone else getting their orders except me. So this makes it okay to have me waiting for 40 mins ? Chris - When the cashier showed you my order slip and told you the customer had been waiting for quite awhile, shouldn't you have told the food prep in the back to stop what they're doing and work on this guys order right away. 15-20 Postmates/UberEats all picked up their food orders. Why am I the only one still waiting for my food. Chris, you suck at your job !!! MANAGEMENT - go find yourself a new manager !! You guys are wasting company money keeping this potato around. This one hides in the back and runs from the problem instead of being the face of the company and resolve situations when they arise. At the end of the day, Chris just wants that "manager" paycheck. San Tung was one of the only busy spots on Irving Street during a weekday lunch hour, which felt like a promising sign. We were seated pretty quickly at a large round table across from two other diners, which was totally fine. And after looking around at everyone's tables, it was clear that these two dishes were the most popular items. Since this was my first time trying the dry fried chicken wings, I was surprised that they came out coated in a thick, sticky sauce--so not necessarily "dry" in the way I expected. Flavor-wise, they leaned more sweet than savory. I think this dish would be a big hit for people who enjoy sweet and sour or kung pao-style chicken, which isn't usually my personal preference. My husband definitely enjoyed them though, so I can see why they have such a loyal following. The black bean noodles were warm and comforting, with a nice homey feel. The sauce had good flavor, although I thought it leaned a little bland and wasn't quite as thick or rich in texture as I personally prefer. Overall, San Tung was a fun spot to finally try, especially given how much hype surrounds those wings. I'd definitely come back with a bigger group of friends so we could order more dishes and get a better feel for the menu, but I probably wouldn't come back on my own for anything in particular.
