Now i understand that the meat is not self serve, but its really not the much more to ask for double. plus then you dont have to worry about the problems of raw meat by the time your food actually touches the food the meat is almost cooked. My only real complaint is that you can only use one bowl. I prefer to put my noodles in one and the veggies in another...the other way you can do it is, pass the noodles first they just take up room...fill your bowl with your veggies and the sauce you want, then go back and pile the noodles on top then they all fit... I ran into one friendly guy who would put some noodles in the bottom, then he would take the broccoli and stand it up around the bowl making the bowl taller, then he would put the stuff in it. Yes they should have a two bowl option for a higher price...but they dont....that doesnt change the food that tastes good. read more

I am not a big fan of Asian cooking, but oh how I love Khan's Mongolian Grill in Burien. This is a great place to eat healthy, but fill up at the same time. You pick your bowl, then your noodles, and top it off with your choice of fresh veggies. There are also many sauces to choose from and they even have recipes for different sauce combos to try. Then you select your meat, and it's all cooked for you on a huge circular grill. Served up nice and hot, with a large side of rice. They also have hot sauces for a final dousing. This place is CLEAN, all the people who work there are friendly and professional, and the food is yummy. Khan's is a favorite whenever I'm doing training in Burien. I prefer it over Chang's (the local mongolian behemoth) because the floor around the grill -- and everywhere else -- is always CLEAN. That means a lot to me. I always fill up on one single bowl, so the all-you-can-eat factor at that other place is not important to me. The selection is smaller, but still good; the veggies are fresh and the table around the selections is always -- again -- CLEAN. So appreciated. Love the Khan's. read more

Good, fast, fresh, and hot food. Lots of fresh veggie options, and a good variety of sauces and oils. Additional sauces are available at yet another table after your bowl is done cooking. Best Mongolian grill place i have had in a long time. the front dining area is kept nicely clean. the food is served quickly and place always seems busy at lunch when I go. the heated sauces that are available are great in case the seasoning u put on is not enough or not to your taste. "Let's do Mongolian grill" my friend said. "It's all you can eat" my friend said. And they usually are, aren't they? Um......ya, not so much so. Well that's not entirely true, if you want to pay twice the lunch fee, which amounts to slightly over $16, then it's all you can eat. Otherwise, you get one bowl to fill and I do mean one bowl.........one...small...bowl.......But here's where they earn their second star. The options are many, not that you can fit more than three into your bowl, but many options there are. Fresh veggies and a few noodle options. One thing missing, the meat. Your meat is strictly controlled by the establishment, having measured precisely 3.09654 ounces for your portion, no more, no less. That's all you get, don't try and beg for more. "I know, their sauces will make up for it" I thought. I put almost every sauce they offer over my three veggies, smashed down into my bowl, thinking I was making a highway to flavor town. Again........ya, not so much so. Once cooked and on the plate with 2.07986 ounces of carefully measured steamed rice, I found I was quickly reaching for the salt shaker, which I used liberally. This place is super clean, fresh and organize why? Because they separate the meat in the container that will be last pick after you put all the ingredients. Note: there food is super fresh not frozen that is good thou. Last time, I went to other Mongolian restaurant around in UW was not organized and not a little bit clean, but food is good. First thing to note: this is not all you can eat. This confused my daughter who is used to just taking a little, and then going back if she is still hungry. The food was good, but not any better than the Mongolian Grill we usually go to in Federal Way (Jasamine's). Price ended up being about the same, but everything was nickle and dimed. read more

My husband and I LOVE to eat here. The guys who work there are so quiet and polite and they always smile at us. They keep everything very clean which is really great. We each fill a bowl with vegetables and then pile noodles on top so it's as full as can be. We choose beef, pork, or chicken, etc. and the nice gentlemen cook it up for us. We love the sauces....especially the Mongolian sauce and the spicy peanut sauce. This place is not super cheap, but we end up with enough food for two or three meals because we pile so much food into our bowls. We love it! read more

I always stop in here when I'm in Burien. The man and woman who are always at the counter (possibly the owners?) are very polite and welcoming. I love the selection of ingredients. The prices are great for lunch or dinner. You know you'll get what you're paying for. I really appreciate how clean it it. Was headed to Wild Birds next store and just dropped in for lunch. First time there and it was quick, easy and very good. No hassles or complaints and the ingredients were fresh, well prepared and the staff was fine to deal with and answered any questions my wife had as to specific items. We will return and, for the record, I found the prices to be reasonable based on the quantity and quality of the food. read more

Khan's Mongolian Grill in Issaquah closed a few year ago, a very sad day. My wife and I had a tradition of getting Mongolian there when coming home from the airport. We decided to revive the tradition, after a proper period of mourning, and found Khan's in Burien near the airport. The woman at the counter said that this restaurant was not relocated from Issaquah, but if that's so, they bought all the furniture and equipment from them. The ingredients bar is even in the same order we remember. And along with the equipment, they brought the know-how. The food is actually a little better than before due to the addition of a few more sauces, oils, meats and other ingredients. Otherwise, it's the same we loved and remembered. The price is low for food of this quality. And, one last bonus, it's 3 miles from the airport. We used to have to go 20 miles out of our way to get our well-earned Khan's after the airport. Now it's close enough that anyone could take up our tradition! read more

Brought the kids for the first time. $5.50 is a great price for them, however nobody mentions that you have to use a different bowl. Ended up paying $8.95 each! It would have been very nice if the hostess mentioned it before the food hit the grill. I purposefully only filled their bowls half way. I felt duped. Gem in a Burien strip mall. The ingredients are fresh, the sauces plenty, and the peanut sauce really is good! The restaurant is very clean and comfortable; there is a glass barrier between you and the food. Service was nice. I'll come again. read more

There are two Khan's Mongolian Grills: This one, in Burien, and its sister site in Tukwila. Both have an awesome selection of noodles, veggies, and sauces, and both are quick, clean, and allow you to take to-go if you don't finish your order. The reason we so often choose Tukwila over Burien is because it has an all-you-can-eat option (Burien doesn't), and also because it offers both sweet and sour and plum sauces, while Burien only has plum. Burien also uses the smaller all-you-can-eat bowls from Tukwila for their regular meals, so their serving sizes are a little bit smaller. None of these issues is a dealbreaker, and I still love this place - it's just something to keep in mind when choosing between the two. read more

Whenever I'm feeling upset or depressed with my life I like to come to Khan's and pour mushroom sauce directly into my mouth. That sauce is so good with everything. Please do not eat your Mongolian grill without dousing it in mushroom sauce. Other then that it's a basic Mongolian grill. You get a bowl and stack it with ingredients (noodles, veggies, sauces) and hand it over to the grill masters and select your meat. It becomes more of a game of how high can you stack the bowl. If you're not having trouble walking around with your bowl, you're not doing it right. read more

This was my first time here, and it's definitely my last. This place is conveniently located next to Trader Joe's so I was initially excited to try this place out since I've never experienced a 'Mongolian grill' style eatery before. The cashier (who I think was the manager) literally yelled at me, forcing me to pay for a large size bowl when I just wanted a small bowl. I really wanted to just walk out of the restaurant but I was afraid the cashier/manager would attack me, judging the atrocious way he was talking to me. He was YELLING at me in front of the entire restaurant and I was scared and shaking from SHOCK and EMBARRASSMENT. Never have I ever been treated SO horribly in such a way. Being here, I felt like I was treated like a third class citizen. The way the manager spoke to me was INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL. The food was OK (mediocre) but not the best. I am NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN because of this. read more

This is my favorite Mongolian grill. They also now run the one in Tukwila by Target. What I like best is the Cilantro. I see some unhappiness with the bowl size. It is plenty of food for me and I doubt most people would be hungry afterwards. read more

This place really is a hit or miss. Recently I have been very disappointed with the quality of the cooked meals the chef's are producing. For some reason they keep burning EVERYTHING. I don't mind a good bit of char, as expected from a grill but I do not expect black noodles and un-chewable meat. When they get it right, damn it's spot on but there's been too many times where they've missed so as for now we will be searching for a new Mongolian Grill or at least give this one a break until we feel confident in the chef's again read more
