Happened to be in the area after dropping off our cans and bottles at NorCal Recycling. Super friendly employee (probably the owner?) was fun to talk to. We ordered Tofu Pad See Ew and the Chicken Garlic. Just thinking about the Pad See Ew makes my mouth water. Great food. Prices were average, maybe slightly higher? My Pad See Ew was $16.95. Food was delicious though. I'll probably ask them to make it a little less salty next time, but would definitely return.

Stopped by this place for some Thai food and it was okay. The service was great and the waitress was very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice for a lunch and dinner place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drunken noodle was too salty but it was cooked well.

We went there for a really late lunch and ordered take out and eat at the car. The ambience is nice. The service is really good. The lady cook and the lady receptionist are both very nice. The food is prepared fresh and was very fast. The taste was not as good as I hoped for. While the food is hot and fresh and large portion, there is very little protein in the order. We got one rice, one noodles, and one appetizer. I think I might not have ordered the right thing, so maybe I will try again when I am in the area again.

Order fell short. They Left out vegetables that we paid for

Ordered through door dash. This meal It was just ok. Not what i wanted. The veg curry and rice was tasty. The pad Thai was boring because they didn't pay attention to order request. They left out vegetables that we paid extra for. And forgot to pack sides of hot sauces. Thai tea was good though! *advice PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Hubby was told about Khun Suda and we were excited to try them finally. As an app ordered the fried tofu. I asked the waitress who was very nice and accommodating throughout our meal, if the tofu was seasoned and fried (as has been my experience with other Thai restaurants), and she replied yes. Tofu was described as being served with peanuts. The dish was not seasoned at all, it was literally tofu flash fried and served with a sweet, vinegar type sauce. The sauce was delicious, tofu was unpalatable. Husband ordered the seafood salad that was on special, I ordered the basil plate and we shared the Bangkok fried rice. Hubby's salad had fresh seafood but was bland which could have been intentional, the salad dressing was lovely. The basil plate was delicious! The rice however was the star of the night. I knew we were in for a treat because we heard near every person order the Bangkok rice. If did not disappoint and I could eat it daily. The salad and basil plates were very heavily garnish, nearly 1/4 of the plate which was different. In all for beautiful plating, but garnish is garnish.

    Appetizer Special

The "appetizer special" - disappointing instead. This review is specifically for the quality and taste. The appetizer special comes with satay, fried wontons, fried tofu, and spring rolls. Satay is not the traditional chicken curry satay that is grilled/pan fried. This looked to be deep fried instead and seasoning is not tasteful with curry flavor. Looks different from a usual chicken satay. Fried wontons, deep fried and burnt. Filling was okay but looked like they were previously frozen and could've been fried better. Edges were burnt instead of crispy/enjoyable to eat. Spring rolls, wrapped not tight or fried so long that they were falling apart. Bland filling, super basic mix of noodle/cabbage and egg (standard filling) however, lacking seasoning. Fried tofu, super cut sized small pieces and deep fried that the edges were more fried batter than the tofu. Other miscellaneous items included: peanut sauce/ spring roll fish sauce and cucumber (did not taste fresh or cold). I dislike leaving a bad review but I am disappointed in this appetizer special. I think when customers order this, it usually is exciting and tasteful getting to try an assortment of items. Unfortunately, I don't think I liked any of the offerings in the appetizer special. There is an old image on here of the appetizer special which I referred to before ordering but now it looks different since that time. I did order from an online delivery service, I'm not sure if that would've changed the quality?

This shows my drunken noodles should be 13.95 not the 14.95 you see on my receipt that they tried to steal from me...thats evil

ALERT....CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE PAYING...THEY OVER CHARGE YOU...CHECK MY RECEIPT COMPARED TO THE MENU...THEY TOLD ME THE NEW PRICE IS NOT REFLECTED ON THE MENU...WHAT....THATS A NO FOR ME... i bought a groupon and wanted to try this place. i took my daughter because she loves thai food. I read the reviews and it looked good. The place was completely empty when i walked in at dinner time. I wanted to wash my hands before I sat down so I walked to the bathroom and the kitchen door was open and I looked in and the cook literally took a piece of food off a plate and put it in the mouth...I was like what the heck... my daughter still wanted to eat. she ate the green seafood curry and liked it. 19.00 for this..over priced with no rice either. i ordered the drunken noodles with chicken....the menu says 13.95...but when my ticket came they charged me 14.95. i showed the lady the price on the menu and she said the menus have not been updated...so they are stealing from people and cheating us who want to support them. there was no sign saying the prices are different than the menus...no sign showing a change. they literally tried to steal from me...no way. I told the lady I will only pay what the menu says...its stealing... no wonder the place is empty...the Lord will punish liars..thieves and those who cheat people. unbelievable...i will never go back and i hope the Lord shuts them down for stealing

First off I will say the food looks delicious but the flavors are off or had alittle flavor. We were pointed where to sit when we got there. We ordered coconut ginger soup for the table nice presentation but super sweet.. way to sweet. I ordered the Thai pumpkin curry which was very bland so I had to ordered peanut sauce (extra charge) I was informed it doesn't come with the food so I had to be charged( OK I just didn't need to be reminded I don't mind paying) My husbands food tasted fishy and my sons food was the only thing that tasted ok. And he had the drunken noodles but ordered peanut sauce too. The peanut sauce was not my favorite either I wont be back although customer service was ok

Came here after a stint in the shopping mall with my fiancé. Was $38 for two dishes, small rice and the 10% yelp discount. They veggies seamed fresh which was good, and the curries were made there. Solid beer and wine selection. The food was good, but just expensive. You're looking at $14-17 a dish. Not gonna break the bank, but thought I could get better food for this price. That being said, the way waitress was nice, and she made all my food without onions which I always appreciate. I'd give it a try.

We ordered the cheesesteak rolls to start, and I had to try the popular Bubble Bliss drink. When the drink arrived, the waitress made the experience even more exciting by infusing the bubble right on top of it. Shortly after, our appetizer arrived. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the rolls were, as we weren't quite sure what to expect from a cheesesteak roll. When our entrées arrived, every single one of us enjoyed what we ordered, so we decided to share with one another. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. At the end of our meal, I was offered a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a thoughtful touch and a great way to end the evening. Overall, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. From the beautiful decor that's perfect for taking selfies, to the delicious food and drinks, and down to the excellent service, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It's a great spot for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion!

We had the fried calamari appetizer and it was delicious, not greasy at all and had fried green beans and onions mixed in. Wife loved her grilled salmon entree. We both enjoyed our cocktails as well. Service was fairly good overall, although it took a long time before our server came to take our order and service was just all around slow. Very friendly though. Cons: My entree was not good. Ordered the pappardelle with short rib ragu. This was NOT a ragu as it is commonly known, it was more of a cream sauce with some meat in it. The pasta was swimming in cream. And I hate cream sauce. I never would have ordered it had the menu description said it was a cream sauce. The server offered to make me another entree but I did not want to wait another 30 minutes so I choked down what I had. Value is not good. The burger is $20, for example. Prices are a bit too high for the experience you are getting. Verdict: We may be back, as 2/3 of the food was quite good, they just failed on my pasta dish. But it's pricey, so who knows. Moderate recommendation.

The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

It was a new place for all of them, but I've been here (and the previous location) multiple times. The food has always been good and I enjoy the creative menu. As expected, everyone enjoyed the food this night as well! I had the Beef Wellington, something I rarely see on menus... so when I DO see it, it's usually on my short list. It was excellent. The broccolini was great too (it was the veggie I chose). And... the carrot cake! Bravo! I love a great carrot cake. The unfortunate negative for us? And I hate to even mention this, but it was definitely a thing for us... the musician, whom I LOVED for his talent and music... was just too loud for us. Not sure what to suggest on that. We enjoyed the music, but we couldn't hear anything else. We couldn't hear each other... we couldn't hear the waiter more often than not... the horn (clarinet) just blasted us out. We weren't RIGHT next to him, we were a couple tables away... but the same side of the room as him. In the future, I'll try to be seated further away if I'm with a group that wants to talk. I'll be back... but maybe after I take an ASL course.

But that's not the only factor that makes us repeat customers. The F&D and the mood. Live music? Of course! For August they introduced new items to their HH bar bites. We got The Wagyu Dog and Crab Cake Bites with the Burger + Caymus deal. First time having a cheeseburger in a steakhouse. You could taste the difference between a grill and a griddle. I ordered a medium and got a medium. Not a pickle fan but loved the in-house butter pickles. The fries were exceptionally seasoned. I requested for mayonnaise and made a pink condiment with the ketchup. The California Cabernet Sauvignon that came with the Burger & Caymus pairing was a blend that I'm probably buying from our local warehouse store. It's not as expensive as it's snobbish Napa Cabernet cousin, but tastes as full bodied with soft tannins. Review's looking lengthy, so I'd just say that the wagyu dog and the crab bites weren't slackers either. Add-on note. All this plus tip is a comprehensible $90+. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

I was excited to finally try this place with my husband. We came in for an early dinner during the…read moreweek and it wasn't busy at all. We had a very friendly waiter. I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.

Staff did not smile which left a cold unwanted feeling upon entering. Feedback Summary: Service & Process Optimization Overall Impression The Good: The food quality is excellent and stands out as a major highlight. The Opportunity: The current staffing model, pacing, and table management are falling short of expectations, leaving guests feeling overlooked and detracting from the overall dining experience. Key Areas for Improvement Table Attentiveness & Flow of Service Observation: The service lacked a natural cadence or proactive checkpoints. There were no routine visits to check on the dining experience, refresh drinks, or see if the table needed anything, which ultimately made the table feel neglected. Recommendation: Implement structured touchpoints throughout the meal (e.g., a check-in after the first few cuts of meat are served) to ensure guests feel looked after. Section Staffing Limitations Observation: Assigning only one server per section created noticeable delays. When that primary server was occupied, neighboring tables were left waiting without any cross-coverage from other staff. Recommendation: Consider a team-service model or assigning dedicated assistants to support section leads during peak hours so tables are never marooned. Rodizio / Meat Service Pacing Observation: The rotation of staff carrying meats through the entire dining area was too slow, leading to long gaps between servings. Recommendation: Optimize the floor routing. Dividing the dining room into smaller, dedicated zones for the meat carvers could ensure hotter food and more frequent tableside visits.
