This is a great Thai restraunt and we strongly recommend going. Our family tried several different dishes and split them and we were so glad we did. There were so many great dishes to taste. They have a big menu of options to choose from. This was the first time for our kids at Thai food and they absolutely loved it. (Ages 8,12,14). food was very plain bla. the price is very expensive for very small proportions. the prices online are less than what they charge now too. my wifes dad owns a thai restaurant in san francisco and this place has no where near the originallity like his restaurant. so far khan toke is the best thai restaurant I have ever eaten. they give you huge portions for your money. to bad its in sf. We met old friends on Saturday evening at 7:00, a little later than typical for dinner and a number of tables were available. We were seated immediately and the service began immediately. Prior reviews mentioned a sweet, more mature lady as their waitress...She must have been our waitress too. We were chattin' it up and were taking a bit of time to get our order together. After the first time of coming by our table and us not being ready to order, I believe her experience sensed when we were ready and she gave us our space until exactly the right time. We ordered a some drinks and the Golden Dumplings for an appetizer. They were good. The four of us ordered: Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Drunkin Noodles, Spicy Eggplant and Jasmine Rice to go with our order. The Spicy Eggplant was delicious, but certainly not what is typically considered "Spicy". All were prepared very well and were very tasty. My wife and I have become aquainted with Thai food only for the last 5 years and have come to enjoy it very much. Our friends were less aquainted with Thai food than we were, and really enjoyed the food. I feel what made this experience special was the service. It was very pleasant, not overbearing, very professional. Overall, I received what I expected, Good Food, Excellent Service, a pleasant atmosphere. All this made the evening a very enjoyable experience with friends. Does it get any better than that? read more

The Panaeng curry has a nice consistency (most places make it too watery) and a strong flavor but they leave everything on the mild side. Even asking for Thai spicy doesn't really help. I'd recommend it for someone new to Thai food but you'll have to look elsewhere for something with a kick. read more

We just moved from NYC and have had plenty of amazing Thai food there, but this place was amazing, much better than many of the places in Manhattan! i went back again recently and was again very impressed by the great service and delicious food. The Thai pumpkin curry is out of this world. i was literally eating up every last drop, whereas normally i pick out the meat/veggies and leave most of the sauce behind. Good food, but I was unhappy with the service. We were told we could use a yelp coupon for a free drink so we ordered our drinks and enjoyed our meal. When we received our check it looked fine, so we handed over our card for the 32 dollar total. The server brought our card back with a receipt for us to sign and suddenly the total was 40 dollars! This was after she ran our cards meaning she showed us one total which we agreed to and then changed the numbers while running our cards. It was pretty shady. We asked why the total had gone up and she said it was because the drinks we ordered were too expensive and the coupon didn't apply to them. We told her that we had been told be the other server the coupon did apply to those drinks. She agreed to give us cash back for the "free drinks" since she had already run our cards. Be wary of coupon use here. Otherwise, it's a great place to get Thai food for a decent price. read more

My boyfriend and I recently went on a Yellow Curry kick and ate at just about every Thai restaurant in the auburn/Roseville area. This place is hands down the best Thai food we have ever had! Quiet little place with great service, sometimes a little on the slower side but completely worth every minute! We have been back multiple times now and the same great quality and service every time. The Thai food at this restaurant is outstanding. The ingredients are fresh and each dish has its own unique flavor. My favorite are the curry chicken dishes, especially the Yellow Curry Chicken. At times I order other dishes like the last time I ordered the dish with string beans. Each time the flavor and presentation was excellent. Any time I am in Roseville, this restaurant is my first choice. I thought I had written a review on Khun Suda (being the Thai Connoisseur that I am), but alas, I had not! It is never too late to express my love for this place, the owner, and her delicious food. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable the service always prompt, and the food consistently delicious. Suda is the most polite, hard working, and gracious owner I have yet to meet. It is quite obvious that she uses only the finest and freshest ingredients in her dishes. Her daughter does most of the cooking and I was told she trained in Thailand! You can't get more authentic than that folks! I have tried most everything on her menu and some of my favorites are the Stuffed Chicken Wings, Golden Dumplings, and Sticky Rice with Mango. Khun Suda is the ONLY Thai restaurant in the area that serves Sticky Rice and Mango all year round! Her prices are reasonable as well. Try her place, you won't regret it! read more

As a former restaurant owner I understand a lot more about the way a restaurant runs and how it should be run more then a lot of other people, and this place is excellent!. When we visited the owner an older lady was on vacation, but her son and his sister was there helping out. We went around 5pm on a friday night and ordered the pad thai, red curry beef (C5), and the wontons w crab, and fried rice, . the pad thai my husband loved, the curry was perfect creamy, spicy but not too spicy, flavorful fresh tasting, and the jasmine rice was perfect, wontons fried perfectly and the sweet chili sauce i would drink! the food plays on a variety of different tastes and textures , from crunchy to spicy to creamy, to sweet, its great! and they have great thai beer! service was fast but not to fast so as to put everything out at once, (we like a little break between courses and they did just so ) and our waiter (the son) was very friendly, helpful and informative on what to suggest since it was our first time there. and he let us know they do allow adjustments with no problem to the menu. If you dont try this place your silly. and the portion of food for what you pay if right on target it has family style and dinner plates available. read more

My husband and I discovered Khun Suda when they catered an event at our preschool fundraiser. We loved what we sampled and have been going to the restaurant at least once or twice a month ever since. We've introduced many friends to our new find also and everyone agrees the food, service and over all experience is awesome. Some dishes we love are their Pad Thai, Drunken noodles, red curry pumpkin, green curry w/ green beans, coconut soup and coconut ice cream with fried bananas. There are good Thai resturants (Khnobkoon, Orchid Thai) in the area, but this is simply "The Best." The flavor of each dish is splendid. Slightly pricey but as the old saying goes " you get what you pay for." Service is impeccable. We consider a real treat to have a meal here. read more

Not a good experience. I went in with a gift certificate that I win from a raffle, and since the name was still the same I had no idea that they changed ownership. I went to pay and they would not honor my gift certificate. For that reason I will never go back that. The service was very lacking and understaffed. Decided to try this place after reading the reviews on yelp. Their fresh rolls were really bland and mainly iceberg lettuce! Not a fan. The salmon panang was really good and so was the yum won Sean salad. Drunken noodles were pretty good too. I have eaten at several Thai places in Roseville and this is my least favorite.It's small so I can understand a bit of slow service.Unfortunately the food is the real problem here.This is as far from authentic Thai as you can get.They do things here like putting an annoying amount of green beans in curry dishes. I believe they do this to add filler at low cost to already small portions.I was told by the woman who said she was the owner that her cook trained in Thailand.There are at least three Thai places within five minutes of this place that do a much better job. read more
