This is one of the top 3, possibly the best for overall, omakase in Queens/LI right now. The omakase uses the best ingredients and each piece was thoughtfully constructed to enhance, not overwhelm, the fish. Chef Mikey was friendly and knowledgeable, thoroughly entertained us with his crafts and cheerful personality. The rapport among all 3 chefs that night was amazing as well; what a team! The place has been nicely renovated by the new owner Crystal and her husband. The sushi bar is now longer and highlighted (different from previous management), showing their commitment to the spirit of omakase. We were there for a friend's birthday and everything was orchestrated perfectly to our liking. So happy to have this omakase near us. We will be back!

From the beginning to the end everything was amazing, the food just melts in your mouth & the service is so friendly and welcoming. They kept the environment very light and entertaining. Would recommend to anyone trying omakase for the first time like I did tonight.

This was my first time trying omakase and they made it one of the best experiences ever! I've never had such a knowledgeable and fun experience like this. They went above and beyond my expectations of what omakase should be. All the food pieces were incredibly tasting and very filling. The price is worth the experience and would recommend anyone to come experience omakase here. The ambience was great as well. They had a cute note with our names on it for our seating arrangements and you could see the cleanliness of the place. They treat you like family here and I'll definitely be back! Big shoutout to everyone who made my experience wonderful! This place is great for any special occasion!

Ki was truly an incredible omakase experience from start to finish! The food and service was exceptional with an emphasis on fresh, balanced flavors. We got the set menu which was comprised of 4 appetizers, 11 nigiri, handroll, and dessert (the most beautiful and delicate matcha served like a lily pad). The menu rotates since the ingredients are so freshly sourced. Some highlights for me were the kampachi, hotatagai, Botan ebi, king salmon (dry aged in house for 1 week!), bluefin toro, and wagyu. Would 1000% recommend and come back again. They also personalize the menu to your name and several parties were celebrating occasions and birthdays and it was so heartwarming the care and attention that was put into every part of this restaurant experience.

Love this omakase set! Pure delicious and it seems very thought out for each piece. They also served some different fishes that I haven't tried before. The rice is really important to me in my omakase experience. I was extremely impressed with the rice quality and the seasoning. The uni was good quality that was from Japan. It was super creamy and sweet. Also they used fresh wasabi . I will be definitely returning soon!

We've done sushi in San Francisco, Beijing Shanghai, Shenzhen, New York, Baltimore, London, Berlin, Austria, and more. Omakase in most places. This restaurant has insanely fresh fish. The best madai we have had, the best shima ahi (better than Michelin, and we've done that a lot). Perfect aged salmon. Wife said wow when she tried the wagyu and she normally defers it all to me (I missed out :( this time). A young guy named Henry was doing an excellent job handling the fish. The Hokkaido Uni was the freshest we've ever had. Truly superior. I don't take this lightly. I'm a serious sushi snob. And my wife has been to the most expensive in Tokyo, saying Ki Omakase is just on par with them. And even better because here does some innovation. Salted duck egg shavings, csvier on toro, fermented wasabi, pearls of acid on the madai. Hospitality (Emily and Matty) pours your sake as you dine, real service. Best chatting. Wonderful. Wish we would be here again. We randomly selected this place based on yelp as we coordinated from multiple destinations to meet here. And the matcha vanilla pudding dessert was great. Very happy. Would be a regular if we didn't life across the country. Vibe was nice. Bit hard even with address to find because other restaurants around them have signs on top of door, which was distracting, made it harder to see. But a big sign would be cheap, so we get it

Came here the other night with friends for a birthday and boy did we leave full, buzzed and happy! The fish was very fresh and I got to enjoy my favorite pieces like wagyu, Hokkaido uni, and hotate (scallops)! The Omakase comes with 4 appetizers that was amazing and we get a dessert at the end of the meal! The restaurant was spacious enough especially at the sushi counter so you're not hitting elbows with your neighbor. Beautifully decorated inside. Staff was very accommodating and the sushi chef was a delight! Explained each piece and let us take photos of the Wagyu and uni! Definitely come check this spot out for a special occasion, date night, or if you just want to splurge on yourself you won't regret! Price is also very reasonable for the quality and pieces you get. I left wayyy too full! In a good way of course!!

An absolute 5-star experience from start to finish. The ambiance is beautiful, welcoming, spacious, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. The personalized menu with my name on it was such a unique touch and immediately made the night feel special. The sushi was exceptionally fresh, with several pieces that practically melted in my mouth. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail in every bite. The chef was warm and engaging, which added a personal element to the dining experience, and the service was just as impressive. Our server was incredibly attentive and refilled our drinks before we even had to ask. If you're looking for top-quality sushi paired with outstanding service and a memorable atmosphere, this is definitely a place to try. I can't wait to come back!

Everything about the places, fun and pleasant. Coast was humorous and fun and made us feel very comfortable from the get go. Chef was amazing. The whole experience was great like visiting an old friend's house. Nice decorations. Pricey drinks.

Omakase, but make it a party! The team at Ki Omakase knows that elite sushi tastes even better when the chefs have a wicked sense of humor. Shout out to Chef Mickey & Chef Saji. 10/10 experience, impeccable service, and vibes for days. Can't wait to go back.

Ki Omakase impressed me from the service to the quality of the fish. From the moment we stepped inside, they were very welcoming. I've been to many omakases in the city and the quality of the fish here was a notch above what I'm accustomed to. In addition, there was a seasonal fish and different shrimp that I've never had before that were delicious. Would definitely return.

Amazing omakase experience at KI. Vibrant and friendly ambience coupled with the freshness of the food made this one of the most unforgettable meals I've had. Epic !

For me, it was decent, but nothing I'd go crazy over. I will say, though, the tacos are very small, so keep that in mind. The real standout for me was the salmon fried rice. That was really good, and honestly, that's the main reason I would go back to Nami Sushi. I also tried the California rolls, which were good but nothing particularly different or out of the ordinary. The kani salad, unfortunately, wasn't my favorite. I usually expect yum-yum sauce to already be mixed into kani salad, but it wasn't, so I ended up adding some sauce I had at home, which definitely made it better for me. The service was good. The young lady who helped me was very nice and pleasant. The restaurant itself was very clean. It's a small space with a long, narrow kind of layout, but it still works for what it is. I'd come back for the salmon fried rice, and I'd probably try a few other things on the menu.

But I do recommend coming earlier, otherwise they have a lot less food later at night. I really like their wide variety of buffet and they have quite a bit of sushi options. Finally revisited Mizumi on Northern Blvd after many years, hoping to satisfy our sushi cravings…read more Instead, about an hour later, I was satisfying my bathroom's occupancy requirements... Let me backtrack. My wife and I arrived exactly at 12:06 PM on a weekday. The staff greeted us warmly, the place was clean and organized just like I remembered, and yes, they have high chairs for the little ones. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. Usually with AYCE, there's at least one or two dishes that make you think, "Yep, I'm going back for this." Here, nothing really stood out as delicious. They have some interesting creations, including sushi made with pesto rice, and many rolls have a Western-fusion twist. Creative? Definitely. Delicious? Not quite there for me. The hot food was okay, although some of the fried items were aggressively salty. I thought, "Let me cleanse my palate with some warm miso soup." NOPE. That was salty too. The bulgogi and kalbi were also noticeably on the sweeter side. The Korean-style wings had soggy skin. Then came the raw oyster. It did not taste fresh at all. I took half a bite, swallowed some, and immediately knew something was wrong. I had to spit out the rest. The unfreshness hit me faster than a New Yorker rushing for the subway. I spent the next hour praying I wouldn't get KO'd in the bathroom. Unfortunately, prayer was not answered. And this was my first meal of the day, so I'm pretty confident it wasn't anything else I ate beforehand. We tried to end lunch on a sweet note with the strawberry ice cream. Sadly, it tasted very artificial. At this point, I was just looking for something, ANYTHING, to redeem the meal. And the winner of the day was... The GREEN TEA in a tea bag. Seriously. That was the thing I genuinely enjoyed the most. I really wanted to love this revisit, but between the underwhelming food and the oyster experience that sent me on an unexpected bathroom adventure, I'm giving Mizumi 2 stars. Maybe it was just an off day, but I'm not sure my stomach is brave enough for a sequel.
