    Cajun Alfredo Pasta

I ordered the cajun chicken alfredo for delivery. I had some credits expiring and wanted to try something new and this place had been on my list. Took about an hour for my food to arrive but overall it was decent - warm, good amount of chicken and broccoli - the sauce was creamy but slightly on the bland side. My delivery driver gets 5 stars though - she gave me a holiday card!

Fish N' Chips - they use flounder, not nearly as good in this dish as Cod!

If you are looking for an upscale, a bit overpriced, loud sports bar, with some pretty good pub food, this is your place! The majority of the space inside is given over to the bar area where large screen TVs dominate, even in their silence. I don't do the sports bar scene, but I like to drop in for an early lunch, where me and the rest of the blue hairs occupy the majority of the non-sports bar area. The pub style food is consistently solid, the young female wait staff are consistently looking for focus while wondering where to go when their shift ends, and the music is consistently loud & annoying! My last time in I had the Fish and Chips, and while the dish was OK it was not nearly as good as versions served at other restaurants that use Cod rather than Flounder. The softer-fleshed flounder does not hold up nearly as well in taste or texture. Would not reorder! Ambiance - 3 Service - 3 Food - 3 Value - 3

Lemon pepper wings and mashed potatoes

First timer! Came on a Sunday to watch football (go Steelers!). Maddie our server was great. Very attentive. Tried the lemon pepper and honey buffalo wings. We give them 6/10. Definitely would try other flavors. The mashed potatoes were top tier though. Atmosphere was nice & positive...people chillin and watching football. Will definitely be back!

I recently visited kickback jacks in Winston for my sisters birthday. It's your typical sports bar with lots of drinks and some yummy bites. Our waitress was really nice and helpful when ordering. We started our dinner with the cheese curds and they were really good. They were hot and had a nice crispy outer shell. For my entree I got the Cajun Alfredo chicken pasta. Overall I really liked it. It didn't really taste Cajun to me but rather just a creamy cheese sauce but it was still really good. They also gave my sister a complimentary ice cream sundae for her birthday, which she enjoyed. They also have lots of drink specials and their rum buckets are really good. I think this is the perfect place to go to watch a game and get a bite to eat.

    Rib jerky

Don't order the ribs! Brought me out the skinniest, skimpiest ribs that was like rib jerky. Manager offered to make me an additional half rack and brought out the same thing. Someone else in my party had thick ribs but I guess I got the butt end of the stick because mine were dry and barely had any meat on them. Waitstaff and managers we very polite, and everything else was good! Try the sweet potato waffle fries if you come.

    Spinach & Artichoke Dip--AMAZING!!

We were in Winston-Salem for a weekend getaway. We decided to stop in and give this place a try. We are glad we did! The food and service was great! The spinach dip was absolutely Amazon!! The best I've had anywhere!! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries and it was delicious. My husband ordered the seafood platter. He did not have one complaint! He said it was so good that no tarter sauce or shrimp sauce was needed. The service was great even though they seemed short staffed. The prices were decent. We will definitely be looking for this restaurant closer to home.

    Strawberry mango bucket drink

Went out for a lunch the other day, our waitress was very prompt and service was excellent. Bar drinks were a little delayed but flavor of drinks and food were on point. From Roanoke but will be back the next time we drive through!

I'm going a bit against the grain here, but I can't see KBJ's as les than a 4 star restaurant. It's a sports bar...through and through. Fans of Tripp's, the previous occupant, will be disappointed, but if there were many of them, Tripp's would still be open. KBJ's is covered in televisions, so don't expect the food to be first notch here and you won't be disappointed. Any-who, on to the experience. The first thing that hit me was the smell (the restaurant smells something strange, at least on this night) and the oddish behavior of the hostess (I had to tell her four times we had three people). Beyond that, the service was good. We also received food quickly. We ordered the chicken philly (solid), the bang bang shrimp (star of the night), the garlic buffalo wings, and the hot buffalo wings (grilled wings on both orders). For me, there was more "burnt" flavor than dipping sauce flavor, but they were fall-off-the-bone tender. Not bad. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.

About 3/4 of this wrap was not chicken.

Today was my first time at this restaurant. We went for lunch and I was surprised at how busy the parking lot was. The door service was quick and our waitress showed up immediately and took the order. After that She was busy and slightly attentive and did not ask about our drinks the entire time. Not the worst service I have had but I wondered if she was new to the job or just overworked. I had the classic burger which was cooked right (medium) and had fried pickle chips on it. The burger was really good and super messy. The fries were hand cut and salted nicely with a decent oil flavor. Kind of reminded me of Five Guys fries. My date had a buffalo chicken wrap that tasted fine but mostly consisted of wrap and veggies. Not much chicken in that thar wrap, son! Paid about $21 for two lunches. Would I go back? I would.

We ordered the Korean pork Mac and cheese, shrimp tacos, peach lavender cocktail, and dragonfruit…read morecocktail. The dragonfruit cocktail tasted like a melted popsicle. Wasn't the best and wouldn't get again. The peach lavender cocktail with champagne was too sweet so also wouldn't get again. It also didn't have enough of the bubbly-ness of champagne. The shrimp tacos without aioli were really good. Shrimp cooked perfectly. The lettuce and mango pico were fresh. Would get again. My fiancé had the pork mac and cheese. The portion was filling. The meat was flavorful, and the mac and cheese was pretty good. It was missing one ingredient that we couldn't place, but overall pretty good. We want to come back and try more entrees. Not so sure about the cocktails. Service was good. The waiter let my fiancé sample a cider he was interested in (it was okay, but we didn't order a full glass). He was on top of the order and checking in to make sure we were happy. The playlist was kind of all over the place but played songs we recognized and even liked. It's small inside with lots of outdoor seating, and the chairs inside aren't the most comfortable. But overall on a slow day like we experienced, we had a good enough time.

This visit was a mix of disappointment and appreciation…read more My son is back home for the summer and he chose The Quiet Pint for dinner. Everything was great except for my dish. I ordered the Cajun Cod Wrap from their weekly specials menu after seeing the photo they posted on Facebook. It looked good but what I received was a total disappointment. It looked nothing like the picture. First of all, it was tiny. I honestly thought I'd been given a kid's meal. It was that small. And for $15? It definitely wasn't worth the price. Second, the wrap was only filled halfway, with the rest of it being mostly tortilla. Finally, I took a bite and couldn't taste any Cajun seasoning at all. I let my husband and son each try a bite as well and neither of them could taste any Cajun either. We rarely complain about our food but this time we had to. Our server was incredibly kind and immediately agreed that it looked nothing like it should. She went to get the manager but another staff member came over because the manager was busy. He was also very friendly, understanding and agreed that what I received wasn't right. He offered to either remove it from our bill or let me order something else. I chose the street tacos because I know those are always good. I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally they handled the situation. That said, something similar happened before when I ordered from their weekly specials menu so I've decided I won't be ordering from it again. I'll be sticking to their regular menu from now on.

First impressions upon walking in: this place was hopping! There were about 6 tables occupied in…read morethe dining room around 5:30pm on a Friday evening but they were definitely busy with call in/online orders and plenty of people were coming and going for pick up. Wingstop isn't spending their money on decor. It's pretty basic with a tan and green color theme. At least the chairs have padding. They have 3 TV's in the dining room but muted of course and NO music. Ugh. It's become an epidemic with restaurants in Winston. We ordered some original mild tenders, bone in wings in Lemon pepper and original hot, , Cajun corn and veggie sticks. Of course we got sides of their famous ranch and a honey mustard sauce as well. The tenders are big! I got a 5 piece and I could only eat two. I had two bone in lemon pepper wings as well and now I know what the hype on this flavor is all about. SO good! I want to try that flavor in the tenders next time. When we placed our order, we were told it would be 18 min. I've read some reviews on the other location in Winston about it taking much longer than the quoted time so I set my stopwatch to see how long it would actually take. Almost to the minute it was 18 min. This location just opened so many employees are still training but we were well taken care of at the counter, ordering and someone checked on us twice to see if we needed anything while we were eating. A+ for excellent service Wingstop Hanes Mall Blvd! Please keep that standard and you'll have a regular customer in me. For my first visit to Wingstop I can see why it's so popular. I'll definitely be back.

Still looking for the best fried chicken sandwiches, so I stopped by here. I ordered the chicken…read moresandwich ($5.79), and a large Simply Lemonade. I was told it would by 15 minutes or so as they were just getting cranked up - yet another spot that is not ready for business when they open the doors! The timing was as I was told, and I headed out! This is a small filet as these filets go in national chains probably in the 6 ounce range, maybe a bit heavier than the smallest which is Chick-Fil-A. It is wide but it is also thin and cooked up a bit dry. The pickles and the sauce added a little zip, but at the end of the day this is a middle tier sandwich - my rating would be 7 out of 10. This sandwich is a bit pricey when the size is factored in, especially when measured against the heavyweights - KFC and Popeyes! Ambiance - 2.5 Food - 3.5 Service - 2.5 Value - 3
