    7 Pounder

Ordered take out for 7 pounder with the Da Mix sauce! They do not play about the spice and as a spice lover, this is best sauce in town for seafood boil. And everything is extremely fresh and so worth it! Amazing portions for the price.

Tried Kickin Kajun's lunch special seafood boil and was seriously impressed. I went with a Louisiana native, and we both agreed - it's not exactly traditional, but the heart and flavor are definitely there. We got the spicy boil with Da Mix (seasoned rub + garlic butter), and it was packed with snow crab, mussels, clams, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and rice. Everything was fresh, well-cooked, and coated in a rich, buttery, spicy sauce that tied it all together. It's one of the best seafood boils I've had in Washington. Great portions, bold flavor, clean modern interior, and friendly service - we'll absolutely be back. Check out our crab cracking competition on my insta @sunkirst to see who won!

My first time here and it was really good. The sauce and freshness of the seafood was on point. And the service was attentive and very helpful. The sauce on top of the rice was a hit and somewhat unique from many other seafood boil restaurants that do not serve rice. The restaurant is modern and casual. They provide bibs and gloves but I skipped the gloves because it's just easier to eat without the added challenges with oversized gloves. Give this place a try if you're in the area. It is quite good!

Came here on a weekday after the lunch crowd. Nice casual decor going on and clean too. I got the po boy sandwich with cole slaw. The food was delivered hot and fresh and quick. I love the light coating on the catfish. All this was $13.99. My friend had the full po boy with gator and truffle fries. They were also very good. The waitress asked if we'd like tartar sauce instead of ketchup which we did. It was nice there was a choice. A little wedge of lemon would have been nice to round out the flavor but overall very good. Parking was easy since it's so convenient to everything else. The wait staff was sweet. The gal asked a few times how our meal was and if we needed anything.

It's always a treat when a restaurant is generous with their portions! I have been meaning to try this place but every time I was at The Landing it was at least an hour before they opened (opens at 230p) so when I timed my lunch just right I pulled up right as they opened and ordered take out. I got the Shrimp Po'boy and fries, the sandwich was so big I could only eat half, loved the Cajun sauce on the sandwich as well. I also ordered catfish, it was soft fried and not much flavor, wasn't my favorite. Came with house made tarter that was heavy on the sweet mayo so I knocked off a star for the catfish but I would return for this shrimp Po'boy again! Just look at the photo!!

Came here on a Friday evening and it was surprisingly empty. As a seafood lover I've been meaning to come here for some time and boy am I glad I did. I would go as far as to say this is my new favorite seafood boil spot. Seafood boil places are a dime a dozen these days, so when I say it is my new favorite- it is because it checks off all of my own personal boxes for what I like. I thought the prices were fairly competitive for seafood and drinks. The seafood, in particular crab, was as fresh as you can get and cooked well. It was so good that I forgot to take a photo (EDIT: My partner took photos to save the day). The only thing I could nitpick at is the potato was ever so slightly undercooked, but it may be a preference thing. So given that the food is fresh and prices are good- what sets this place apart for me are their menu options. For me, I have to have crab, but I don't only want crab. My main gripe with most seafood boil places is that getting everything I want ends up costing a fortune. But here they have a crab combo that includes clams, mussels, shrimp, potato, sausage, corn. It's literally everything I want already included. Also, if you aren't sharing with another person, they have a smaller combo that looks like the perfect amount of food for 1. I believe it was for $35(dinner price). I appreciated the spice level options. I've been to several places where their max spicy had no spice at all. In fairness I have a decently high spice tolerance. I will say their spicy is not very spicy for me, but they offer 5x,10x, 20x spicy. I got the 10x on the side which I will order on the food next time with 20x on the side. The 10x is not nearly as scary as it sounds. It's a bit smoky and the spice level is very enjoyable. The ube melona cocktail in a bag is definitely worth getting. I think it was like $12? Refreshing and boozy. The only item I would 86 for next time would be the oysters. They had a half dozen for $14 special, which is pretty good price wise, but I'm pretty particular about my oysters and they just weren't doing it for me. All in all, the food was awesome, service was great, cocktails were fun, and the menu is set just right (for me). I will most definitely return.

The food and service was phenomenal. Best way to celebrate Mother's Day. I definitely would recommend it to anybody and everyone me and my family will definitely be back very soon. One of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time.

This is my favorite seafood boil spot hands down! The service is always amazing, and the pricing is so reasonable! I always come for their lunch special which is a half pound combo with rice and 2 sides for ONLY $14!!! such a good deal

Wow. Can't believe we've never been here before, but we will definitely come again. The staff were amazing - always coming by to check on us and to answer questions. The drinks - unnaturally good given what you might expect! The food - wow. It's simply delicious. We loved every dish. We loved all of the flavors. And we loved that they were honest about spices and spice levels and special accommodations - and delivered on all of that. Truth be told, if we lived closer to Renton, we'd probably come here once a week. Thank you, Kickin Kajun!

Super tasty! We ordered two lunch specials, garlic fries, and clam chowder! So much food and so good! Will definitely be back.

Kickin Kajun is a gem! The place is very cute and clean, making it a cozy spot to enjoy a meal. We ordered the shrimp with rice, corn, and potatoes, and everything was cooked perfectly. The sauce was absolutely delicious--packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice. While they don't have many mixed drink options, I made do with a Hennessy and Coke (lol), which was fine for the occasion. But honestly, the food is the star here, and I'll definitely be back for anything boil-related.

The food was great, I had a large slider and some clam chowder and my friend had a large slider with some brussel sprouts. However, the service was terrible. There were 3-4 servers behind the bar, but it took us around 15 minutes to even get one of them to acknowledge us. They did have a small crowd, but nothing outrageous. The servers were obviously busy, but they ignored our efforts to be helped and 3 other couples got served who sat down after us. When we left, there was only a few people left in the bar, and the servers had turned over. The new bartender/server also ignored us. He finally acknowledged our existence when we asked for the check. Of course the bill was incorrect and included extra items that we did not order. The lobster was unfortunately an overcooked, but everything else in the boil was so good that it made up for it. Speaking of the sauce -- it was SO good. We got to choose our sauce and spice level, and it had the perfect balance of flavor, spice, and heat without overpowering the seafood. It complemented everything really well. We also ordered the calamari. It was crispy, but the batter was a bit heavy and could've used more seasoning. Service was great -- our server was kind, attentive, and checked in on us regularly without being intrusive. They also offer combo meals, which I thought were a great value for the amount of seafood you get. Overall, I'd absolutely come back. This was, by far, the worst dining experience I've ever had…read more The only thing we genuinely enjoyed was the popcorn crawfish appetizer with the spicy mayo dipping sauce. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill. I ordered a seafood boil with Manila clams and shrimp, and both were undercooked. The shrimp had that soft, mushy, almost translucent texture instead of being firm with the slight snap that properly cooked shrimp should have. Every bite was unpleasant, and I couldn't bring myself to eat it. The Manila clams were even worse. They were covered in a slimy coating that made them feel unappetizing the moment I picked them up. The texture alone was enough to make me stop eating them, but the taste was just as bad. Instead of tasting fresh, sweet, and briny, they had an unpleasant flavor that made me question whether they had been prepared properly. I couldn't finish them. To make matters worse, there were gnats flying around our booth throughout the entire meal, especially all along the booth panels where my cousin and I were sitting. It made the restaurant feel unclean and completely took away from the dining experience. When we brought the undercooked seafood to the manager's attention, we were given two options: they could take the food back and "put it back in the water" to cook it longer, or we could take it home and cook it ourselves in exchange for a discount. Since we had already started eating and didn't feel comfortable having our meal simply thrown back into the pot, we chose to take it home and finish cooking it ourselves. The "discount" ended up being just $10.99. For a meal that wasn't properly cooked and that I literally had to finish cooking at home, that resolution felt completely inadequate. I paid to dine at a restaurant, not to go home and prepare my own meal. On top of the food quality issues, the customer service was disappointing. There was very little effort to make the situation right, and the way the complaint was handled felt dismissive. I usually drive an hour to Captain Crab because I've always had consistently great experiences there. I decided to try somewhere different this time, and it was a mistake. This experience reminded me why I don't mind making the drive. I won't be returning.

Typical and traditional for a family dinner experience with Chinese food. As it's meant to be served and shared with everyone. You don't typically order your own plate. On our visit we ordered the Westlake beef soup, fried eggplant with spicy garlic, seafood chow fun with gravy, and the salt and pepper fried chicken wings. Every single dish was served piping hot and fresh. The chow fun had a hint of the wok char which is super important. And each dish was delicious. The eggplant was so tasty. The garlic extra crispy and not bitter at all. The crispy coating around the tender eggplant- exceptional! The chow fun was well balanced. The seafood cooked perfectly. The chicken wings, I only wish it had more topping on it. But fried well, light batter and seasoned to perfection. The soup was light and with a little white pepper, I was so satisfied.
