I couldn't get enough of the catfish and breakfast potatoes. Went here three days because it was so yummy. We were lucky enough not to have to wait in the super long line that forms at this place. You HAVE to try this spot

Had to come here for the first breakfast in Maui and it was a 10/10¡ Husband loves Eggs Benedict and picked the Kalua Eggs Benedict. Portion size of the pork was actually really large which was quite good. I'm not usually a pork person, so I'm not the best judge, but he loved it! Buttermilk pancakes with banana and macadamia nuts - 10/10! Such super fluffy pancakes and They actually went so well with the bananas and macadamia nuts! I'm not usually a banana or macadamia person, but honestly this combination was delicious! Got some Grilled chicken breast on the side for protein - Nice that they had this option of getting just plain protein on the side. Also got their daily special coconut something coffee! It was a season of item so I don't even remember what it was but it was yum for sure! We came at 9am to beat the crowds and got seated immediately. Service was also very quick! Also got a table outside with a view which was lovely.

Fried rice - I believe it had portuguese sausage, spam, and some other protein

Our eyes and stomachs ordered before our brains did, so even though we went family-style for every meal during this trip, for some reason we made our last one hefty and all ordered our own portion. A big happy mistake, I'd call it. We all really liked what we ordered and even got an extra portion of banana macadamia pancakes to share, so needless to say we had some leftovers. The line was out the door but moved pretty quickly and we were able to snatch up a big enough table right away but there are employees that will help seat you when they can. They also had some tres leches cake samples on the side at the register for you to try, but maybe for that specific one they can try out a new method because it was just pieces on toothpicks. And if you know anything about a good tres leches, you'd know it was drenched and so it was inpossible to pick up with a toothpick I imagine it tasted amazing though

Solid breakfast and lunch joint for locals and tourists alike. They have all the classics and some brunch specials on Sat and Sun. Hurry on the weekend before they sell out on the specials. They only provide 1 refill on coffee and sodas (no refills on lemonade), but you'll need to go to the counter if you want a refill. The outdoor dining area is spacious and very scenic. Overall, 4 out of 5 due to some dishes not worth the squeeze.

After reading all the raving reviews, I was excited to try this for breakfast. Pros: 1. Plenty of parking nearby 2. Line moves fast. You order and they announce your name and bring it to your table Cons: 1. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Had the mochi pancakes and they were drenched in oil. I couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day as it was hard to digest. Looked nice but not at all pleasant to eat. 2. Drinks weren't called and when I went to check on them, they had been sitting on the outer with ice melting. 3. Eggs with bacon were ok, again nothing to rave about. I think they are used to being a popular touristy place and quality doesn't hold up. I wouldn't be coming back.

We were looking for a breakfast spot and this place popped up, so we decided to give it a try. You order at the counter then the bussers will seat you and someone will bring you your food if you've never been here. You'll have to grab your drinks yourself at the counter. Thank goodness I asked about it, otherwise, I'd still be waiting for my drink! Haha We were seated outside, which I liked. My son ordered biscuits and gravy, hubby ordered the donkey burrito, and I ordered the fried rice. Overall, food was ok.

I've tried both locations on my latest trip. The ordering process is pretty much the same. Stand in line to order, then grab an empty seat. Listen for your name and the staff will deliver your food to your table. Great food and fast service all around. Both locations are right off of S Kīhei Rd. You'll find one in the Kīhei Kalama Village with outdoor seating and the other at the Maui Coast Hotel both indoor and outdoor seating. Different vibes but try them both! Seafood Omelette Special - Cheesy shrimp, crab and green onion omelette smothered sauce with pork sausage. Loco Moco - Traditional Hawaiian Breakfast. Two eggs any style and choice of 1/2 Ib Black Angus beef burger patty with steamed white rice covered in brown gravy.

    Looking forward to brunch!

Thank you Yelpers for the reviews here. Motivated to get out for breakfast, we got here around noon and enjoyed a filling meal of Kahlua pork Benedict and corned beef hash. Nice to have a warm biscuit with butter and the delicious coconut syrup on the table. Very flakey and so yummy. The corned beef has bits of crispiness on the edges and a good ratio of potatoes. Just right. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, their version of potato chips is fun and again, the biscuit if very good. Hubby really enjoyed his Benedict with its generous portion of meat and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Parking is easy across the street and this is definitely a place to come back to! You order first and then sit down is all you need to know.

There is a line in the mornings, but it moves fairly quickly. They try to seat you right away after you order. The food was great, no complaints!

Moco loco with fried rice plate

Probably one of thee best quick places to eat on the island. They have service down to the science. Quick and prompt. Food was amazing I came back a second time. I was skeptical about the loco moco cause im not huge on gravy but it was so good I ordered the same thing the second time I came back. Going to miss this place

Low-key Hawaii style and delicious we came for breakfast, which was perfect! Great breakfast menu with all the favorites. Casual patio seating. Across from the beach, the pancakes were delicious. Eggs were fine. Life is good here.

Veryyy busy, but it's the island's go-to spot for breakfast for mosts. They have plenty of options for traditional American breakfasts or local options - we got a Loco Moco which is a staple. Great portion size!

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins. The bread is moist from the pineapple juice and the loaves are small. I could finish one off in a setting but I resisted the urge. Basically they cut the croissant in half, filled in the cream and put the top back. Odd. Better between the two. Might be too sweet for some. Prices are higher than other places. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.

While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.
