Another recommendation from the local hotel and it did not disappoint. We love our breakfasts and Kiehi Caffe in Lahaina was wonderful. It is a place where you order your meal at the counter and they bring it out to you. Service was quick and the folks were really welcoming. We ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, which we haven't had before. It was so tasty - not too sweet but so delicious. It was on special, so if you see it, definitely order it. We also ordered the Pork Fried Rice and Eggs. Normally, I would order a Loco Moco, but seeing the Fried Rice the menu, I couldn't resist. The nice thing about the Fried Rice is that is wasn't oily as some fried rice might be. It was well cooked and very tasty. I did see others order the Loco Moco and it did look pretty good as well. While this location is in a strip mall, the decorations were really well done and there was plenty of tables both indoors and outside. I would highly recommend going if you are a breakfast person - great food, reasonably priced and good variety. We will definitely be back! Mahalo! read more

Great selection of breakfast foods from your typical eggs breakfast to some pork fried rice. The staff here is friendly and quick. It is a fast casual restaurant that doesn't get too busy. I went with a party of 7 and was able to move tables together to fit all of us. I ordered pork fried rice and it came with two eggs! I know that might sound weird, but everywhere else back home only gives you one. All egg lovers appreciate another egg lol. read more

I wanted to try the original location in Kihei, but when I found out they opened a location closer to me in Lahaina I decided to give it a try. I figured out that you order at the countertop then go to the host stand where they seat you. There are so many things on the menu I couldn't decide, so I ordered a bunch of things. Problem was that when the food came out, the portions were SO BIG that we had a lot of leftovers - which worked out since we put it in our cooler and brought it with us on our sunset trip to Haleakala and had it for dinner! We ordered: Pork Fried Rice & Eggs French Toast with Pineapple & Coconut Pancakes with bananas & Mac nuts on the side Atkins omelette Cheeseburger Mango cupcake Chocolate chip cookie/cake (I think it was a hybrid) COD - coffee of the day - latte with coconut, ube, and Mac nut. Omg everything was good!! They even have coconut syrup on the side counter that you can bring to your table for your pancakes. The latte was quite good as well. Everything I love in one cup (except the calories)! There's a side table for self serve water, extra plates, and takeaway containers so that was convenient. We went a few times to eat here to try different menu items. Each time we went it was amazing and portions are so generous! When you walk in, you wait in line and place your order and pay before finding a seat. They have menu specials and we tried the ube pancakes which were so soft and chewy! Saw this place on YouTube on several couples vlogs and decided we were GONNA try this place! And the verdict is .... ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT yesterday so much so that we are going there for breakfast again today! I had the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs over Rice and came with a biscuit that I was too full to eat, hubby had pancakes and his best friend had Loco Moco - we cleaned our plates! Food is okay and it's a self service restaurant that also expect customers to give 18 to 25% tips! My husband used a walking stick and the server refused to fill his coffee and asked him to go to the counter and get his own refill. She even went into the extend of getting his walking stick on the other side of the table to pass to him. ... no sympathy and extremely rude ! Seriously blown away by this place! From the moment we walked in, the service was so friendly and welcoming. What's even better? The food came out lightning fast! We were in and out in no time, which was perfect for getting our day in Lahaina started. And let's talk about the breakfast! Sadly the last two times we had breakfast the server (food runner) never said a word to us. With tipping options at 18 22 and I think the third option listed was 25% I will have to consider the "custom " option in the future. Food continues to be consistently good. read more

The food is fine but the maple syrup provided is super cheap feeling like maple syrup mixed with tons of water making it basically tasteless like adding water to ketchup. The tables are sometimes tilted and the service to clean them isn't really professional as they only spray their solution and wipe which also results on the stuff from the table falling to the floor or chairs which isn't really convenient... Kihei Caffe was up to the challenge, however. At Kihei you can expect to wait in line to order, pay, and then find an open seat. Food was subpar... people that work there are very rude and not accommodating. We ordered the French toast, over ripe bananas pile high made the French toast very soggy. Outstanding breakfast this morning at the Kihei Cafe. The line to order was out the door but the cashier was patient and efficient and it moved quickly. Once we ordered, we were able to find a table right away and our food came out really fast. My over medium eggs were perfectly cooked and super buttery and delicious. The bacon was good size and also cooked nicely. The cinnamon roll French Toast was also really good. My only complaint today was having to get up numerous times for water refills. This was one of my favorite meals in Maui. Plenty of parking and modern styled decor. Very clean and very busy. Although there always seemed to be a line, it moved quickly. My aunt ordered the fried rice which was good and portion size was very big. We ordered to go. I had the yogurt parfait for the next morning and that was so good. I love the coconut syrup I added on top-definitely should of bought some to take back home. The portion was also huge-hard for me to finish it and prob could have been 2 servings for me. The fruit was very fresh. My lunch was the Irish loco moco which came with corned beef. This was sooo good too. Also huge portion so shareable: the rice was great texture, the corned beef was tasty. The eggs cooked the way I liked them and that gravy was bomb! It also came with mac salad-which was ok in my opinion. But I'm very picky about that. We came here for coffee and then came back for breakfast. Service was great and our food came out very quick. We really enjoyed the loco moco and the Maui omelet. We were headed to a food truck with rave reviews for their pork fried rice but it was not in the location it was supposed to be and they don't answa the phone so we headed to Kihei Cafe in Lahaina- and oh my, what a find! The menu included at least a dozen things we wanted but settled on blackened mahi mahi and eggs and corned beef hash with fried rice. Everything on the plate were exceptionally delish! The home fries were fried with some special magic coz it was so heavenly. The biscuits were equally dreamy and buttery. To complement our dish, we opted for lychee iced tran and ube cold brew latte. We literally licked our plates clean. For our last meal on the island, only reaffirmed that it will not be our last. so I haven't been compelled to drop a review in like 10 years but this was the weirdest restaurant experience I can remember... whole fam in town for a funeral and this place was suggested as a good cinnamon roll spot. Order-at-counter-then-sit-down generic brunchy place (w/takeout option), two registers, short line, pretty normal. Got in line w/sister in law, peeping all the rolls in the pastry case and figuring out which of the two flavors to grab for our folks at the hotel. We don't need to take up a table we're just looking to order a good amount of cinnamon rolls to go' "Ok how many do you need?" '4 cream cheese and 4 vanilla/regular/glaze' (not sure what the normal looking ones are called) "Oh I'll have to check with the boss" 'Oh ok np' (thinking maybe they need to ask if they have a big enough box or something) *asks dude on the next register* *dudes face gets very frowny and unfriendly* "I can't let you have them" (1000% thinking he's joking) 'haha alright well I'll take 4 and she'll take 4, I don't know her' (still smiling and joking at this point) *dead serious face still, apparently not joking at all* "There are other people who might want cinnamon rolls and I can't let you take them all" Good vibes are crushed at this point, original lady looks surprised/apologetic behind the counter and I'm confused as hell... for context, there's no signs posted about a cinnamon roll limit AND there's at least a dozen in the case. If you're in Maui Hawaii, and can't decide on what to eat, come here for some delicious food. This little diner probably has what you want. They serve local favorites like Loco Moco (hamburger patty over white rice with an egg on top, and smothered with brown gravy, or try the Kalua Moco (same as above but with Kalua pork instead of hamburger patty), and Fried Rice. They have a large menu to choose from. We had their Loco Moco, Banana and Macadamia nut pancakes, Pineapple French toast, Huevos Ranchero with Chorizo, Plain Banana pancakes and a side of Portuguese sausage and bacon. All items were delicious! The restaurant is quite spacious and has a lot of seating both inside and out. The lines can be long at times, but the staff gets the food out pretty quick. We heard good things about this place and decided to try their Loco Moco. I asked for medium rare on the beef patty and was told they couldn't do it. At that point, I should have ordered something else. Although the dish was photo worthy, it was bland. Patty was grey looking and fried on flat top with no crispy crust. I would have rated this higher if I wasn't spoiled from the day before at Betty's. My wife ordered the pork fried rice with eggs. Coffee was great. Not happy on the refill policy of $1 to go. Honestly underwhelming experience, it felt as it was an overpriced food court restaurant as you order and take a seat. We got a Belgian waffle which was warm at best but had a scoop of super cold butter that wouldn't melt so each bite had a weird texture, locomoco plate that had gravy similar to kfc, the daily coffee flavored ube which just tasted bitter, and a side of 2.5 pieces of bacon that costed $5.
