I tried Kiko's this past weekend, and I am truly impressed. The dessert is so satisfying because the ice is infused with flavored milk which gives it a different texture. The milky ice just melts in your mouth. They are generous with the layered toppings in each flavor. I got the chance to try the red, white, and blue cheesecake flavor for 4th of July. I cannot emphasize how delicious this dessert was. My friend and I could not shut up about how good it was. I hear the line is usually out the door, but it was Friday around 6:30 pm and it was not busy! Another thing I love and enjoyed about this dessert is it was not too sweet. I seriously cannot wait to go back. I am already thinking about my next flavor to try! One cup is honestly enough to split between 2 people. I tried the Classic Halo-Halo so I'd have something to compare it to, and it's definitely not your typical halo-halo. It's rich and creamy, with all the classic ingredients you'd expect. I ordered the Ooh-Bae (Ube) for $11, and it came out pretty quickly. At first, I thought $11 was a bit pricey, but the portion was actually huge. I think it's easily enough for two people to share. First time here. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. While the place is a little bit small, it is clean and organized. It is located in a plaza with lots of parking spots, which is AMAZINGGGG! Kiko is a great find in Burbank! It opens a little late at 12 but I guess you can't really have ice cream for breakfast. Surprisingly when I walked in 10 minutes after they opened, there was already a bit of a wait. I think 3 or 4 people had already ordered before me. All the tables inside were taken so I had to wait for someone to leave before sitting down to enjoy my dessert. There's also a little water station to grab some chilled water. The ambiance is very simple but gets the job done! Usually I get my halo halo craving satisfied at Chow King but this is a way better alternative. There is only one item on the menu - halo halo but it can be customized into a bunch of different variations. I got the Ube one and my fiancé got the Buko Pandan. I think it was a little over $20 for both but it was worth it! Will definitely have to come back and maybe try their classic one! read more

Halo halo is 5 stars - the most authentic that I've had. I ordered the original. The contents are complete they even have langka. The powdery shaved ice is actually the best because the consistency is very similar to how I remember it back in PI. All the elements are there even the pinipig. My son had ube and I prefer the original flavor. Service can improve and it might because the day I went it was Memorial Day and they had an influx of customers and the wait time is 30-40 mins from the time you order. So we had to leave and went to other places in Burbank and came back 30 mins later and still waited about 10 more minutes. The container was a bit sticky so it looked like they were in a rush and didn't wipe down the cup so I had to deal with that and clean up my cup holder in the car after. As mentioned by other customers here it seems they are not ready for the demand and at times may have stopped taking orders. I observed that when I was picking up no one was taking orders anymore. I would probably wait another month or so before they figure out the kinks. Because they're so busy would recommend take out than dining in. read more

The shaved ice is perfection, the flan is yum, the boba taste freshly made, the pandan flavor was just right, not too sweet. Yum yum yum. The cashier was very nice. I preferred the regular halo halo over the ube. Authentic pinipig, yum. The woman at the counter was friendly and pleasant. They seemed like they could use more staff working there to handle the surplus of customers. They need someone to make boba. The wait for 2 halo halos was accurate, about 20 minutes. It was busy, but after our halo halos were done it was even worse. They stopped taking orders at 5:45pm. Will be back to try the buko pandan, melon and mais con yelo. We came in last night for a quick sweet treat after dinner just down the road. I dunno what I was expecting tbh. The shop itself is dinky. There are maybe 4-5 tiny round circular tables that are no bigger than barstools. There's one rectangular handicap accessible table by the door. Their menu features a few different halo halo dessert flavors. We opted for the Buko pandan version. The piece of flan on the top, in my opinion, was pathetic in size. I felt like it was a tiny 1in x 1in square. It's the tiniest thing ever!!! For $10/cup, somehow this didn't seem right. When asked for a name for the order, I spelled out J-R-O-C. She only put in JR. Ummm ok. Strange. I think the cashier needs to do a better job of listening. Everything else was generally ok but I will say, a bit more attention needs to be paid to the table tops, trash cans, water dispenser area, and their cleanliness. Nobody seems to wipe things down or disinfects common surfaces. Their trash can was overflowing and definitely needed attention. The cashier offered me a receipt but did she not only not give it to me but she also couldn't figure out how to print the receipt after she's gone and already closed my order. The good... place looks nice and clean, staff is friendly, and the halo halo fluffy ice is good. The bad... they are sold out of the two items I wanted which is the ube and the buko pandan. Also, the halo halo had 80% fluffy ice and hardly any filling. I ended up dumping about half the fluffy ice away. read more

First time here. Saw this place a while back but it was closed when I went. Finally got to try the classic. Here's my take. It's good but it's not the OG halo halo from the Philippines. I'm sure they did test taste and this type or style of halo halo is more for the general American taste. I wish they could make one that's OG classic. Their version of classic is way too ice creamy. I'm looking for the hand shaved ice like in the market in the Philippines. I think Filipinos would love to have that option. Until then , I don't think I'll come back. I've been craving halo halo as the summer heat is starting to heat up. I've halo halo at cafe 86 but they make it different versus the traditional way. We went here to try it out after a disappointing omakase dinner in LA. We ordered the classic which contains beans, jelly, tapioca, coconut strings, ube halaya and the shredded milk ice. That was probably the highlight in difference between other halo halo spots. They're shaved ice already has milk infused and you can taste it in every bite versus shredded ice with the evaporated/condensed milk poured over. It wasn't took sweet which is great but the ube heads will probably prefer the ube version which was sold out when we got there. I would come back and try the Thai tea version and the melon version also. There were a few tables and luckily someone left so we can sit down and enjoy it. The staff was pretty quick with our order but I can see this spot getting long lines when it heats up and tables get full. read more

The thing about specialty shops Like this one is that they start strong, and fizzle out. It looks like it is the same with this one. The flavors are great, 10/10...if they are in stock, or at least if they are consistently open during g their claimed hours of operation. Unfortunately that is not the case. If they intend to be in business long term, consistency is the key. So far in the first three weeks, they can hardly Keep up with demand. The halo-halo is great! Amazing 10/10 but they always either run out of supplies or close down unexpectedly. This is the second time it's happened to me and my family (within ONE WEEK). The hours are 12-9pm and it's supposed to be that way or either they should limit their hours to make sure supplies are always available so they can serve their customers. They are so inconsistent with their operations. This review is about the experience. I'm so done with them. Never again.
