Kim Chee is great for some good ole local korean food. The kalbi is really good...moist and juicy with lots of flavor. also tried the fish katsu and that was great! not too dry, not too overbattered. Kinda reminded me of fish and chips fish but better. they serve all kinds of kim chee with the meal and it also comes with a seaweed soup. In addition to that, you also get 3 or 4 kinds of side veggies on your plate with your order. if you go between 9am to 330pm, they run a lunch special where its $9 for a choice of 2. regular price is $16, so thats a great deal. read more

My family and I came here last night for my father's birthday, because he wanted Korean cuisine for his birthday meal. Let's start off with the positive things about this place. First off the food was really good. We got a family pack #3, and we were served with plentiful amounts of kalbi, teri beef, BBQ chicken, and meat jun. I'm a guy that can eat ALOT, so to say that we had leftovers means that there really was a ton of food. We also got a side order of chicken katsu (my favorite) as well. Everything was tender and very meaty. I dislike when places give more bone than meat for kalbi, but the kalbi was tasty and well done. The chicken katsu was the star of all the meats. It was crispy, tender, and not too oily. I thought the daikon they served as well was packed with flavor. The service was quick and friendly. To make all that food fresh to order, and under ten minutes is a plus in my book. For the things I dislike about that place include parking, the kim chee, and the decor. First off the parking is quite difficult, because the restaurant is located right next to the road. I'm sure if they had a full parking lot they would be getting more customers. Secondly the kim chee wasn't really packed with flavor. I'm not used to light tasting kim chee, so I was disappointed. Lastly, the decor is a little dated, and for a place that is a sit down eatery there's no background music or anything. When I walk in there I feel as if something is missing, which is not a good sign. My final verdict is that I love the food, but the place could use a few touch ups, or some renovations. read more

Service is warm and welcoming; almost like going to Aunty's house! Meals start with a super-ono seaweed soup...Mmm! Had the lunch special which comes with teri beef, teri chicken and meat jun. Daughter ordered regular size ramen, which came in a bathtub-sized bowl! It even came with the seaweed soup starter. BF had Mix #2 for the ono kalbi. They are very generous with their portions, so come hungry!! Convenient little take-out corner by the cash register to help yourself to containers and foil for all the leftovers. Our waitress was really nice and refilled our kimchee platter and even asked if we needed more rice. Only thing is the parking. I wish you luck when you need to maneuver your way out of there. First the food was incredible! Beef pork and chicken marinated and tender with just the right amount of charring. Service was good and fast. The decor and parking were both uncomfortable at best. Wow! What an unexpected treat; don't judge a book by it's cover with this one! We had the trio combination- so good but the fave was this...The BBQ pork was a delightful flavor bomb! It is thinly sliced & grilled to perfection, succulent and generously portioned. The two young guys who were the servers were friendly and went out of their way to suggest accompaniments ( take their advice and get the "sweet sauce" , a gingery savory thin dipping sauce). since only 2 out of 3 locations are still open my review is pretty much based on the food they serve overall since their pretty much consistent with each other. My favorite is the Meat jun tho ive tired everything else, the katsu is kinda hard the bbq beef/chicken is bland and through a process of elimination i end up with the only thing i still have the stomach to order here and yet it was not as good as it used to be or maybe my palate changed. Anyways everything was alright not great. I think the only thing i like is the sauce cuz the meat jun is paper thin. Service is alright and for some reason the water tastes like soap in all 3 locations. the only sides i like are the kimchee daikon in which is provided to dine in customers only so i was disappointed when taking out. other than that I tired to come here for a hint of nostalgia from the high school days we used to run off school property across the street for the student $3 special just to come back and get in trouble. But sadly that was more than a decade ago and the meat just is $10+ dollars haha read more

still a fan! but the prices have gone up--though the portion size is still a lot a lot, and the kim chee that was given to me was 1) not that much, a little plastic cup you put soy sauce in and 2) was not that flavorful as kimchee goes. i'm not there for the kimchee; the kalbee and the chicken are STUPENDOUS!! but if you're name is kimchee i feel like you should represent ;) i happen to get rock star parking there, but it was by luck...still ridiculous to park anywhere without the fear of getting towed. :/ read more

Been eating here for 20 years. My personal favorite is their BBQ chicken. Always juicy and full of flavor. Their cabbage-style kim chee is well done and you can always get seconds. Our friends brought us here for dinner and it was an awesome choice! Apparently, this restaurant has been in the family for over 15 generations! Our waitress was hustlin'! She was attentive and speedy. Husband and I ordered the pick three combo with bbq chicken, meat jun and fried mandoo. All delicious! Also comes with a seaweed soup, which was light, but so good, and kimchi and radish kimchi. Our friend got the butter fish with the veggies in the side, omg, that butter fish was amazing! I would have given this place a minus 5 if I could. Worst immitation of korean food that I have ever tasted. The kim chee is so watered down it's tasteless. The squid was the same. (I asked for medium spicy exoecting spicy, I got dishwater, kim chee flavored dish no taste and no spice!) Tough too. I paid without eating the dush and left.
