My absolute favorite when I am in a rush. Service is fast whether you are dinning in or taking out. I usually take out and it is perfect every-time. Seating is a bit on the smaller side but it is never too packed. Food is always fresh and tasty. My favorites are the spam and crab roll and shrimp tempura. A full order comes with two pieces so make sure you specify if you only want one roll.

Needed a quick meal before an event and thank goodness this was close by! Also there were plenty of free parking spots available on a weekday evening. I ordered in advance in case to avoid the wait and my order was right at the cashier. Quick to pick up! The restaurant was also very spacious with plenty of tables. I ordered the stir fry fish cake kimbap and honestly the portion and the price was a pretty good value ($10)! I would say that the kimbap could be more flavorful, but definitely very easy and healthy to have. Maybe could have used more sesame oil? Nice experience overall!

Ordered their fishcake with $1 add on (sesame leaf) to go. It was pretty solid. I love how they give you extra slices of pickled daikon. It's a great value, 2 rolls for about $10.50 + tax. While waiting for them to make it, I saw on their TV screen they had so many homestyle dishes (Bunshik). - I will definitely go back and dine in to try it all

We ordered takeout: Tuna kimbap x 2 rolls ($10.50) Pork cutlet kimbap x 2 rolls ($14.00) Fishcake kimbap x 2 rolls ($9.50) All kimbap has its own unique flavors, giving us surprise. Even our kids love every bite of it! I wish they have another location closer to Chino Hills.

If you come here order kimbap. I tried the beef and tuna kimbap. The beef was better, in my opinion. The tuna tasted lemony. I also tried the rice cakes with cheese but it was not good. It tasted overcooked and dry. It was nice that the staff provided soup and side dishes. Parking was free. There's a security guy making sure you are a customer. They have a parking lot shared with other businesses in the plaza.

Food: The fishcake kimbap is huge! It was about $9 and we were shocked how much was in one order. The roll tasted so fresh! The sweet and sour chicken was also great, we thought it paired really well with the kimbap. We only ordered two items and were so full, we're excited to return to try their other items! Parking: There's a free parking lot in the plaza but it can get crowded fast. There's surrounding metered and neighborhood parking.

Kimbap Paradise has become my go to place for Kimbap when I pass through town. I love that they offer a variety of Kimbap combinations, my favorites so far being tuna and smoked beef. Yom! I've also tried a couple of other dishes. They did not disappoint. And in the land where there more parking garages than parking lots, I also appreciate sliding in and out and getting on my way easily. Kimbap makes the best roadtrip snacks!

If you're craving Korean food this is the place. The parking lot does have plenty of parking but I did go late at night so there was plenty of sitting and parking. I ordered the spicy rice cakes with ramen noodles and cheese and it was so good. The sauce has enough flavor and it was not too spicy! I also order the bulgogi kimbap and it was so huge, it could feed 2-3 people comfortably! They were both delicious! Absolutely coming back.

This is an overdue review, but I had to share! I ordered two rolls of kimbap and spicy stir-fried soondae--everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back--drooling just thinking about it!

Favorite kimbap spot for three reasons: - I always get the fried shrimp. It comes with the lemony sweet creamy sauce. Tastes fantastic. - They can make it without rice (usually more vegetables) - Easy parking in a lot You can dine there or order ahead online to go. There can be a bit of a wait though either way but I know they are making it fresh to order! One two roll order is good for a light to medium meal (w/o rice).

Needed a few kimbap to go. When I got there, there is a wall up kiosk to order takeout. Simple to use and also tells you how long it will take for your order. While waiting, saw that they have a busy take out business and also delivery. Order was ready in the upper end of the time given. Fresh, made to order, and enough for a lunch. Presented well in the to go box. Had the fish cake kimbap and the shrimp kimbap. Both were tasty and perfect ratio of rice to ingredients. Definitely one of the best in the K-town area.

I ordered the kimchi spicy pork and the spicy seafood soup and both were very tasty. The service was excellent as well.

This place is addictive!!! We went twice in one week because the kimbap was so delicious. So here's my summary below: Friendly staff that greeted us when we walked in, helpful with the menu Lots of different kimbap selections Fresh and made to order Very affordable Order via kiosk for takeout Short wait 10-15 mins Large parking lot shared with several other businesses Decent size dining area

The Spicy Seafood Kalguksu also wasn't terribly spicy, so I would definitely recommend it if you can indulge in some spice. We also ordered the Medium Bossam and that really completed the meal. The pork belly was very tender and delicious and is so good wrapped with the napa cabbage, radish kimchi, and garlic. There is also some dipping sauces for it. I definitely recommend also ordering the Bossam! Overall, I enjoyed everything we had here! The portions were perfect for our party of four and we were fully satisfied after our meal.

I love noodles, so I knew I wanted to get their kalguksu or sujebi which is basically hand-torn kalguksu in ripped piece form. I love that the sujebi came with kabocha, potato, and some green veg. You literally don't have to order anything else besides the dish. The kalguksu looks like it's shared and recommended with 2+ parties. This place was filled with families, duos, and larger groups, so I think it must be more of a place to share. I came for a later lunch on a Friday, and just like the yelp revs said it was full and busy but not completely packed. I didn't have to wait for a single small table for one. The service is fast and the staff are so friendly and attentive. I'm glad I finally dined here, but would def only come back with a larger group.

The ambiance was lovely and perfect for a date night. The dining room felt dark, intimate, and cozy, and I especially loved the little candle on the table. It was a small touch, but it made the experience feel warm and special. We ordered the perilla oil noodle, scallop pancake, pork jowl, and hwaechae milk to share. The perilla oil noodle had a strong perilla aroma which I loved, but beyond that it didn't really taste like much. It wasn't bad but it's probably the one dish I'd skip next time. The scallop pancake was great. It was crispy, packed with scallops, and the dipping sauce complemented it really well. The pork jowl was easily our favorite dish of the night. It was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with all of the accompanying condiments. Every bite felt balanced and well thought out. The hwaechae milk was also delicious and refreshing. It was a fun drink to share and a nice contrast to the richer dishes. While the food was good overall, the portions felt pretty small for the price point. Everything tasted good but it was hard not to notice how quickly the dishes disappeared given what we paid. Maybe it was just the specific dishes we ordered but considering Danbi is on the Michelin Guide, I was expecting bolder and more memorable flavors. Korean cuisine is known for being vibrant and packed with flavor so I left feeling a little underwhelmed. Nothing we had was bad but aside from the pork jowl there wasn't a dish that really wowed me. To end the meal, the staff brought us a yuzu popsicle topped with a birthday candle, which ended up being my favorite part of the entire night. The popsicle was perfectly tangy, refreshing, and honestly more memorable than any of the dishes we ordered. It made the celebration feel thoughtful without being over the top. Overall, we had a great experience. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was attentive, and it was a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion even though it was a bit overhyped given the small portions, high prices, and flavors that didn't quite live up to my expectations. I'd still come back to try the steak tartare, uni bibimbap, and the zabuton!

From the moment the Korean-style spare ribs arrived at the table, it was clear this was a dish worth savoring. Each rib bore a beautifully charred exterior--deeply caramelized without a hint of bitterness--offering that irresistible smoky aroma the moment it was placed before us. The glaze was nothing short of spectacular. A perfect balance of sweet and spicy, it clung to the meat with a glossy sheen that promised flavor in every bite. There was just enough heat to make your taste buds sit up and pay attention, but it never overwhelmed the deeper, richer notes of the sweet components. But what truly set these ribs apart was the texture. Beneath the charred surface lay meat so tender it practically fell off the bone with the gentlest tug of a fork. If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
