We drove by Kimchi Red daily and even stopped next door at the Dunkin. After seeing great reviews pop up the past few weeks, we decided to walk in. Stopped in at lunchtime to a packed restaurant. Ordered the Spicy Jeonju chicken. Wonderful service, everyone was super nice even though they were slammed busy. Slightly pricey but large portion. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. We got the medium spice and it had a little heat which was perfect but you would have to eat several pieces to feel any burn. My girlfriend ran back up to the counter to get the Kimchi fries once we saw those coming out to other tables. All-in-all a great first experience. Probably the best place I've tried in a while and I'm excited to return and try more of the menu. Honestly mad at myself for not trying it sooner. Also, not sure if they know this, but they're going to need a bigger space in the future. read more

Korean fried chicken here is so good! Great flavors, moist but crunchy chicken. As a side I definitely recommend the kimchi jigae as well. It was one of the best I've had in a while. The service was also great. Everyone was friendly and we even got complimentary japchae. The ambiance here is definitely chill and casual. Everything about this place was amazing from the staff to the food. When we walked in we stated we was from out of town and this was our first time. Alice said come closer and let me tell you all about it. It was crowded and the line was getting long, but she said don't worry. She took her time and told us about every dish. She made sure we understood and the way she explained them made want to order everything. We went with the fully loaded fries and the honey butter chicken (mild). It didn't take long for us to get our food. From the fist bit to the last everything was melt in mouth flavorful, delicious, hot and just good. She took her time with every customer and greeted them with respect and patience. Showing her beautiful smile. She stopped and talked to us while we was eating and asked what brought us to town. She checked to make sure we was ok every few minutes asked is we needed anything else. They offer complimentary water. This place was very clean, organized and fast. I seriously don't get the hype of this place. First of all, everything is fried and everything is sweet. 99% of the meals serve 2 and they cost average $30+. If you are alone then your choices are seriously limited. I didn't want fried, I didn't want sweet, I didn't want to pay $35 for a meal. I wanted a meat protein that was spicy but not sweet with a side. There was nothing like that there. Fried would have been OK if they had the other options but they did not. I don't usually leave reviews, but the truth has to be told about this restaurant. This place has the nastiest fried chicken that I have ever tasted. The chicken baskets that we ordered consisted of mostly backs and legs because they serve chicken parts. We didn't find out until after we ordered that they had been out of wings for two weeks. The chicken has no flavor, the galbi was undercooked and slimy, and the price point is ridiculous for the type of scraps that they are selling. Someone gave them a bogus review of having the best fried chicken in the country, and that has resulted in a lot of disappointed people that have traveled from far away and after witnessing the disappointment while I was there, I felt that I have to warn people before they make the trek to this restaurant. DO NOT EAT HERE! THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE! Update in response to the owner: I don't see a way to reply directly to the owner, but the review is absolutely true. I have the receipt for me visiting this restaurant, I have pics of the food that I ordered there, and I was not alone so I also have a witness. Your staff are the people that told us that you had been out of wings for two weeks and then proceeded to tell us if we want wings we have to request them when we order as if we were to know that without specifying that we want what we are paying for that you would be serving us a basket of bland chicken backs and legs, so stop trying to discredit me and lie to try and save face for your horrible food and business model. Delicious little spot in Alpharetta offering authentic Korean food! I ordered the Mala Fried Chicken and Kimchi Jijae stew. The chicken definitely packs a lot of heat so make sure you can handle it! Next time I will probably get another flavor because it was just a tad bit too spicy for me. The fried chicken itself was fantastic though - perfectly crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. The kimchi jigae stew is authentic and came with plenty of rice, japchae, an egg and pan fried spam. I'll be returning to try their other menu options like the galbi and kimchi fried rice. read more

Chicken was not even mediocre, our chicken was still pink and bloody on the inside, we paid $30 for 15 drumettes/wingettes. They obviously have hit a point in their restaurant where their popularity has exceeded their manpower/quality control. They were out of pretty much everything on the menu when I went in today, there is no air conditioner inside so it's probably 105° and everyone is elbow to elbow. I will certainly be waiting to check them out again once they either expand to another location or troubleshoot these important issues. Wooooow! This place has great food. The Spicy Jeonju Fried Chicken is incredible! The kimchi fried rice is the best I've had and I've had plenty. The tacos are tender and covered in a tasty sauce. I'm not an expert on Korean food but I wanted to comment on this new place. (Our Korean food experience is with Breakers, EM Bop, some of the food places in HMart.) Most of the menu items are fried chicken with various Korean toppings. The chicken seems to be made to order so there is a bit of a wait. They also have various "plates" that include a protein, noodles and rice. My companion had a spicy pork plate that included glass noodles, two scoops of white rice and a portion of kimchee. I had kimshee fried rice with an egg on top. The spicy pork was just right for our taste, the fried rice spice continued to build up! I could only finish half of it! The portions were fine, it is a bit pricey, especially the chicken dishes. The interior of the place is kind of fast foody, but ok. We will definitely go back to try some of the other items on the menu! read more

We've gone here a couple times when we're craving Korean food and it's come through! The fried chicken is awesome, so good that I catered my daughters school lunch for culture day! I'd say try it if you're visiting for the first time! Their tacos are a good blend of Mexican and Korean tastes, and a close second to the chicken. I found this place on yelp after coming through town from a morning hike. I ordered the boneless honey butter pepper chicken. The customer service was great and the place was very clean. There was a mix up with my order which was no problem it happens. One of the workers came out and greeted me and communicated that there was a mix up and offered me complimentary fries which were great.
