Loved it here! Great outdoor seating on a perfect sunny day. Situated right in the beginning (or end) of The Circle, depending which way you're facing, Kimmie's has great food and service. We wanted breakfast and a local recommended Kimmie's. Everyone loved what they ordered, and the table split a bread pudding French toast which was a dish crafted in the Heavens somewhere. This place is our favorite go to for breakfast. The service is great and the food spot on every time. I have never had a bad breakfast here. It does get packed as it is not a large place. Small but cozy and family feel. You may have a slight wait, but totally worth it. The homemade sausage patties are the best I have ever had. Haven't been to this place in a few years and didn't know what to expect. As soon as I walked in the server outside greeted us and told us to grab a seat anywhere we liked. We picked a corner booth that had a nice mom an pop style feel to it. As soon as we sat down someone came to grab our drinks, and immediately served our coffee and water! A minute later we had our server there taking our order. She was super friendly and attentive. I got the breakfast tacos and my girlfriend got a steak and eggs. Both were off the charts. Steak cooked perfectly, and breakfast tacos with chorizo had a lot of flavor and cheese...which is a win win! The family feel of the place, the great service, and the bomb food will have me coming back, and recommending this place to anyone! read more

The food here is great and the staff and service are exemplary. Let's get that out of the way. But in the past year Kimmie's has gotten outrageously expensive. I work nearby able would eat here often except that a basic sandwich to-go (no beverage) is about $20 if you include a tip. The restaurant started nickel and diming the customer for every little thing. I get it, food prices have gone up in recent years, but there is a breaking point. For me, it's charging the customer $1 to use their credit card. Find a better place to cut costs, this is infuriating. Let's face it, the food here is great but it's basic comfort food/diner fare. It's really a glorified Denny's at 2x the price and I have to keep reminding myself to stop going here. read more

What a wonderful experience yesterday. Not my first time but my most memorable. The food was solid, thumbs up, but the service was beyond amazing. I am kicking myself for leaving their names I wrote down on the table, with Jenny the only one I remember as she was our primary server. But we also had a young lad and two other females who helped us in what they obviously operate as Team Service. My friend & I were craving brunch like crazy after a Saturday walk for LivingWell. Thankfully, Kimmie's was open & in the vicinity. Since we're both gluten free, we shared the gluten-free cinnamon swirl pancakes, and each got the chili hash & country omelette. Normally, I'd be the gal eating chili, but actually, my friend did, and I decided to go with gravy. Once I tried a spoonful of my friend's chili, I immediately regretted my decision. Been here a few times. Cute cozy place at the Orange Circle. Breakfast is delicious very homemade taste. DELICIOUS and not premade food. Does get busy but the wait usually goes fast. I think the longest I've ever had to wait on a weekend morning was about 20 mins which isn't bad at all knowing how tasty the food is it's well worth it. Customer Service is friendly from the moment you get there till you leave. I highly recommend this place.. Of course we had to get the hash browns! The cinnamon roll pancakes are the best I ever had. The top is crunchy and the inside is soft. It is smothered in icing, but not too sweet. You can't get breakfast without getting a cup of coffee. Seems like a little watered down, bit it was hot and went well with my breakfast. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast places. You now coffee puts me to sleep. we sat outside looking at the Orange Circle. Really quaint community and cozy. One small observation, I found the Hollandaise, to be one of the best I have ever had. This is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant at Old Town Orange. It's hugely popular with locals as well as the folks working nearby for breakfast and lunch. It's always full and the servers are fast. The specialty items are omelette and original Kimmie's breakfast dishes that come with a biscuit and white gravy that is very light and delicious. The serving size has gotten little smaller, which is still good portion! They are generous with coffee and hot sauce. I'm impressed how consistently they are able to maintain high quality of menu items and also keep the price down. On the table there are single serving containers of milk products with different flavors. The place is clean and has nice bacon and pancakes smell that increase your appetite! Go try. You will stand around for a bit. Next door is probably the best beer place in Orange County. Get a pint of Pliney the Elder by Russian River double IPA and wait for your name called out in ten minutes. read more

I think where Kimmie's excels is their food. They deliver with large portions and excellent taste. My only constructive criticism would be they could do better with they're coffee, I find it to be sub par lacking in taste and flavor. Ambiance is cute, right on the corner of the orange circle onlooking the picturesque pathway of downtown orange.
