Incredible. Going this after two other possiblea on Yelp and knew this was the place. Was initially excited about seeing broccoli on the menu as it is my favorite omelet ingredient. However, upon arriving and seeing the menu, went for the 2 eggs and pork chops as it sounded really good. And it was!! Pork chops were so juicy. American fries were cooked extra with some crunch just the way I ordered them. Eggs were cooked soft perfectly. Taking half home as so full. Husband had 2 eggs OE, hash browns, CRISPY bacon. Said it was the best breakfast he's had in quite a while. Both our meals came with toast d well. The best part of the meal was when a server stopped another server and asked her where she was talking the soup she was getting ready to serve. The server responded "Steve" With that, the 1st server said, Steve, you can't have the soup. It's a cream soup and you can't eat dairy. It was awesome to see the comradery between the staff and their regulars. Steve profusely thanked the server for looking out for him. Highly recommend this place. Worth the drive!! read more

I would highly recommend going to Gabbys next store instead of Kimmys. First off, they say 20 minutes... 40 minutes later food is done. Fries weren't cooked. The chicken club and bacon was such a letdown. Price- not worth it.. If ya want a good chicken sandwich, try Gabby's chickens sandwich. Fries come with (huge portion + crunchy and a side of Cole slaw for 10$ Kimmys charged me 2$ for fries and another 2$ if I wanted slaw. Check pics below, ruined my Friday lunch . read more

I was unsure of checking this place out because I'd never heard of it and there weren't a ton of recent photos/reviews but they were rated highly on other platforms. Very glad I did, a quaint little diner but not super outdated like some others in the area. They serve full menu in the AM (yay I'm not big on breakfast food). The server was very sweet and let me pick her brain on a few items-the chicken souvlaki platter won. It was served with warm pita, a super fresh and loaded Greek salad (w/potato salad) and a decent sized soup du jour. Everything had so much FLAVOR-which I don't find to be across the board standard with diners. OH the tzatziki sauce was some of the best I've had! Big portions, great food, good prices. Delicious Breakfast Kimmie Ds is not iHop or Denny's. Nor does it try to be. Located off 49th Street in the industrial section of town. One would expect a greasy spoon dirty nasty place. Not so. Nice place. Service was excellent, Food was excellent, prices among the most reasonable in the area. My wife had a cheese omelet with home fries and toast. She said it was excellent, the potatoes were cooked perfectly and over browned. I had the meatball hoagie with fries. The prices are ok , I asked for sausage got ham that was a bit dry , husband liked his Turkey club.eggs were very small.

Kimmy D's does not disappoint. An omelette where you can actually see the spinach! I ordered The Works today and asked them to substitute spinach for green peppers. Gorgeous omelette and so much flavor. The potatoes didn't have much flavor, but that was easily fixable. read more

If you haven't eaten here yet, you're doing yourself a disservice. This is the CLOSEST I've ever gotten to a restaurant serving "mom" type cooking. The dishes are simple, quick, flavorful and best of all cheap. With the rising prices at seemingly every other restaurant, Kimmy D's has stayed stagnant. Also, do yourself a favor...always order off the specials menu. They change daily, are great deals, and huge portions of food. I've ordered off the menu too and can recommend the Chicken Parm Sandwich which is kind of unique. It's chicken and mozzarella on toasted white bread cut into 4 triangles...then you dip it in the marinara...mmmm. I cannot say enough good things and go here at least once a week. Lunch rush is at noon so go a bit before or a bit after if you want a seat as they fill up really really quickly. But they're quick and turnaround tables very fast which is simply impressive. Pro-Tip: ALWAYS GET THE SOUP...they're amazinggggg (fries are tasty too but you can get them anywhere) read more

This place is Superb !! - I order lunch & pick it up - about 2x a week for the last 2 months. I get the bacon cheeseburger, the Philly Steak & Cheese, or the BLT -- all great with flavor and size. French fries come in the crinkle cut. If you want your burger medium or rare - just ask. When I go in to pick up my food, the booths are normally filled with lunch patrons; and the ladies are always friendly and polite to me. read more

So had to stop eating here after one too many bad breakfasts. I don't know if they changed their cook or what but when I order a scrambled egg I do not expect one solid piece of brown gook. I wish I still had the picture to post , it was sooo disgusting!1 The bisquits it came with were cold and fell apart the minute you picked them up. Definitely dry, like Sahara dry. This place opens from 5:30 in the morning....wow very early! I was so sad to see on the menu that they do not serve gravy and biscuit after 11:00 (or was it 11:30?) for lunch, because that's what I wanted to order. So instead I ordered chopped steak. That was a mistake. They say steak, however it was very dry, bland and tasted more like corn beef to me. I dumped lots of ketchup on my plate and mixed everything so that I would not taste the dryness of the meat. My husband ordered a bagel with egg and cheese and it was just okay too. Nothing special. Coworkers and I went there for the first time ever today for lunch. I find the place to be small and cozy with a diner like atmosphere, which I thought was cool. Too bad the food was just too pedestrian. Two of us ordered the Steak N Cheese sub. First, I really don't like when the wait person try to deceive the patrons by posing the question as "What would you like for your side..?". They know that makes the consumer believe that the dish comes with a side when it actually does not. I flat out confronted her and asked her point blank. She admitted that the chips were included but the fries was a dollar extra. I'm not cheap, just don't care for deception to make an extra buck. The sandwiches came out and I was very disappointed. The shredded beef time sandwich was not tasty but very greasy. The beef looked too ALPOish. I didn't even care to finish my sandwich. Another buddy ordered the Cajun cod and he really didn't care for it either. As a group we agreed: We were all underwhelmed. Couldn't recommend the place. read more

I ordered breakfast through Uber Eats. Ordered the pork chop breakfast. Tastes like they took it right out of the packaging and threw it on the grill. No marinating, no seasoning, nothing! Had their burger due to a Ryan's recommendation on here and i need to say Thank You. The burger was delicious. It was definately a home made patty seasoned well. When i took a bite it just melted in my mouth. The bread was soft and chewy which is the way i like it. The fries were sub par so i recommend getting another side. Hadn't been there in years. Pass. Small Greek salad, asked for double gyro meat. The serving size was weak, no greek olives and a spoonful of potato salad. I come from a city full of small country style diners and this is the only place I've found in the Greater Tampa Area that makes me feel back at home. Came here for breakfast at 5:30am. I instantly liked the diner feel and quick no-nonsense service. The coffee was good and served continuously and the prices are classic diner cheap. That's about as far as the good review goes. The biscuit with sausage gravy barely resembled a biscuit (more like pressed dry bread substance) and the gravy literally seemed like it came from a can - ultrasmooth and tasteless. There was no steam from the food, so I was worried the food was cold but no, it was only lukewarm. I tried to brighten it up with salt, pepper and ketchup, but just lost my appetite a quarter of the way through. So sad. read more

I was mistaken, I'm an asshole, this place is better then a 3, this place is a 4. Ive been there a number of times since and its probably the best breakfast in the area. I just started coming to kimmy d's recently because I like their hash browns. its not close to my house but I drove their because they were very good the last time I was there. Not so much this time. I ordered my meal and I did notice it came really fast, but it wasn't that busy so I figured they cooked it right. No, the hash browns were old. I called over the waitress and ask her, politely for some new ones and here response was that they were fresh. I didn't want to argue with her so I said it was ok; even though without tasting them she could tell me they were fresh. THEY WERE COLD. She reiterated that this is how they always come and brought me out some home fries that I had refused anyway. The homefries she pushed on me were still steaming hot, unlike the hash browns I drove there to get. However, I ate my eggs and bacon, finished my coffee and left her a $1 tip. Now I want people to understand this place has done a great job in the past, but sometimes guys rush out an order with old potatoes left on the grill. My biggest problem is why couldn't she just replace the hasbrowns with new ones. why argue with me about it; Its Potatoes. Potatoes are pretty cheap. I was polite the whole time and I cant understand why this happened. I will never come back again. Wow. This place is a trip. I call to place an order this morning and get a bad attitude and then get hung up on because people are busy in the restaurant. So I guess that is good reason to treat a potential customer like their money is no good in their place. No wonder the people answering the phones have bad attitude....because the same attitude is displayed by the owner. I called back letting the owner know how rude the order taker was and she tells me they were really busy this morning and sometimes it happens. It is what it is. I truly hope that they get what they give. Food may be great but it is even better when you have people that serve the food with great attitudes. Should have at least apologized. First time I have ever had food or anything here. Ordered some food to be delivered to my job. Paid with 2 credit cards and a $20 cash. I gave the lady the $20 and she gave me $10 back. I then gave her an extra $1 for a tip even though I already tipped $2. I walk back to my desk only to get a nasty phone call from that same woman stating that I took her money and she knew she gave me $29. I told her not to speak to me like that and she probably forgot it in our front office. She told me "when I get there it won't be there because you took it". I told her "you will be apologizing to me" and then I terminated the call. I completely do not tolerate anyone calling me a thief or blaming me for their mistakes. When she got back she found her money where SHE LEFT IT, and went outside. The operator called me so I went downstairs where she apologized but the damage was done. This was not how I expected my first time purchasing food there. By the time I was able to eat the food was cold and my appetite was ruined. I am enemic and have to eat regularly. I will never go back here. You should never assume someone made a mistake that you did and then blame them for it, not to mention making someone feel like a petty thief. Shame on you! But in the end I was right and she felt stupid. When I called the owner she was nasty and rude. She had zero customer service skills and advised me not to order there again.
