    Strawberry Gazpacho with shrimp

Food taste and presentation, table service and sharing of the inspiration for each course service, and ambiance with a featured artist's work on the walls, all were as tasty and interesting as expected. It was a wonderful surprise to learn that KIN supports local artists by hanging pictures by the current, featured artist and describing how one or more pictures inspired each plate served. Imagine having a dessert based on garden peas, and finding it quite good. Such are the surprises at KIN. From the appetizer, main dish, palate cleanser to dessert, each serving was flavorful and unique. We also ordered the customized non-alcoholic drinks, and they were fun. Each pairing featured an herb which tended to stand out in the drink; they added to each plating, for sure, and were worth the additional expense to taste such creativity. Boise street parking after 6 pm is pretty easy, so its not a hassle to drive and park close. KIN is definitely worth the dining experience. We may reserve again after the the menu changes in 5 weeks! So delicious and our company of friends was so fun!

Anniversary dinner at KIN with my wife. Service was fabulous from the Art Haus Bar through dessert. Food was delicious and inventive. Decor and ambience mostly on point, the actual lighting for the food was a bit weak. And music was at a perfect volume but the selection was a repetitive low energy European electronica. It was large table group seating, which normally we find perfect. In this case we were at table end and the entire room was compromised of much younger folks. And not a terribly engaging set of young folks at that, at least right where we were. We would much have preferred our own little table. But had we not been at table end (giving us more choice) or had our immediate table mates been more interesting, it would have been fine. So it goes. Our major complaint was presentation. And in this regard it it why we likely won't return. Each course was prefaced by it's narrative inspiration. In this case non profits. Forget the fact that it was annoying as hell to have my dessert prefaced by telling us the split in the chocolate delight represented the 15% "gender pay gap". Forget that it's factually absurd, even if it were a non profit for a cause I believe in (like veteran assistance), describe the food first so we begin eating, and keep the non profit description short and sweet. Not agonizingly long. Frankly, since you announced that these weren't agencies you donated to but wanted us to, maybe get your inspiration from nature or art. I asked them since this was a "season of giving" menu if the meal was free. Apparently it wasn't. While we are unlikely to return the food and staff were all excellent. And one of our serving staff even sang us a wonderful and sultry good-bye song. This is not a great romantic spot, but would be better with a small group. Fortunately my wife is all the company one needs so it was a Fab night.

What an amazing Prix Fixe dining experience!!! Beautifully executed from start to finish. Innovative dishes. Fantastic flavors! This is an ABSOLUTE must if you enjoy fine dining experiences. They had my name and guest's name on a card to show where we were sitting and we sat across from each other in a long series of tables next to one another so we could talk and engage with fellow diners. A menu was provided for what was to come. EVERYTHING was delicious! Not a single dish was forgettable. I had the wine pairing option (strongly recommend but it is not a must) while my guest had the non-alcoholic pairing, which she enjoyed. They ended our dining experience with one of them signing a beautiful goodbye tune! How wonderful is that?!?! Very clever and artistic.

Want to try a bar that "different" and willing to be adventurous with food pairings, alcohol & flavor combinations... this is the place!! Pomegranate Cardamom syrup..uh yes please! Asked to have with vodka and ginger beer plus a bit of lime (to cut the sweet) 26th bit of soda water & over ice..a Summer Rush for sure!! Bartenders easy to visit with, glad you're here and happy to talk about the "Moron" which is Welsh for carrot-(so it's healthy right?!) which gives it's fun color! Try the snacks...what I thought was a chicharron chip but it was fried tapioca starch (think shrimp chip minus the shrimp) a with a spinach & lamatium (yep, an edible weed!)..pretty yummy! Next, had the Pork Noodles... waiter said all fresh, home made, 48 hour broth...organic eggs... just delicious! Will be back!

    French Onion Soup Burger

I'm gonna jump right in. If you want to know what a $40 hamburger tastes like, but you only have $16, this is your place. If it's still on the menu by the time you see this, it's the French Onion Soup Burger. Like any top tier restaurant should, they change their menus, and if it's too late by the time you read this, go with your gut. If it's on the menu when you arrive, it's a top 5 best burger of your life. Side note. If you're into whiskey, they have a good collection with better-than-fair pricing. If you like cocktails, my wife and I have tried to find one we don't like, and we have failed thus far. It's too bad Yelp only allows for 5 stars, because this place deserves 10. Would recommend.

Met our kids at the bar at Kin. We had a wonderful dinner. I ordered the Yakisoba and my husband ordered the burger. I added on shrimp and an egg for only $5 to my meal. I loved their twist on regular food. The salt and vinegar fries were great too. Our dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. The server was very attentive. Next time we are in town, we will be back.

The steak was cooked perfectly, and I loved the different toppings in the salad the pear, the celery, the sweet potato it was fabulous. The fries from here are also really good. I will say the drinks and the bartender can be pretty hit and miss so it's going to depend on the day. What kind of service you get from the drinks at least. I would avoid some items on the menu, but your server should be able to be honest with you about what to order and what not to order. The salmon is good!!

Employees make or break a place, and this guy broke it for me! I get it, we all have those days...this was a very talkative bartender that for what ever reason gave me zero attention and service! After I had sat there for 10 minutes, directly in front of him, with not even a glance (I was trying to make eye contact and not be rude) I had enough and asked him if I could have a drink....he took exception to my tone??? I didn't raise my voice, swear, anything....and he kicked me out!!!! After sitting there, watching the football game in silence for 40 plus minutes...he never asked me if I wanted a menu, how I was doing....he did bring me water of which I said thank you... All too often good businesses are sunk by bad service! I know I won't be back...especially knowing this sad excuse for a bartender will remain! There are a lot of places around here, with good food, with good service...I will go somewhere else, that's busier, without a seriously pathetic excuse for a bartender! Makes sense why every other spot on 13th was busy...except here! KT

My co workers and I headed to Bittercreek for my birthday and happy hour! We were killing two birds…read morewith one stone today and we were all here for it! A couple of my friends showed up first, got a great table outside and ordered a couple apps to get the party started. I showed up after goodies and drinks were ordered. We started off with some chips and salsa and pountine. The chips and salsa looked good but the pountine was definitely calling my name! I love me some potatoes and these potatoes looked like they were going to be right up my alley! I dished up a good portion before my friends got some. They were kind to let me plate first cause of my new kidney. I didn't want to be too greedy so the portion I got was a few bites. Those few bites got me hooked so it was a must to get another order started. While my order of pountine was being worked on, I tried the pretzel with cheese and the hummus plate. The pretzel was perfectly salted. The cheese sauce was the perfect addition to the soft pretzel. I took a good amount of the hummus and Greek salad. The pita that came with it was a great vessel for the hummus. It was crispy with a slight chew to it. The hummus was clean tasting and rich. The Greek salad was so fresh. All the components of the salad tasted like they were just picked from the garden. You literally can't get anymore farm to table than that! It was so fresh! The second order of pountine came out. Everything about this appetizer was delicious! I love soggy, softer fries and these fries were the business! The gravy and cheese were the highlight of the dish for me. You can never go wrong with potatoes, cheese and gravy! There was a good amount of meat on the pountine. It was so tender! You can tell it was cooked with a lot of love and time! I took the rest home and I plan on hiding my box in the back of my fridge so my daughter can't get to it! We ended our happy hour with the beignets. Each one of these goodies were covered in powered sugar. The caramel sauce that was paired with it was devine! In all honesty, as full as I was, I could have polished off an order myself! They were the perfect dessert to end this fabulous meal. Bittercreek has been on my to go list for a hot minute. I'm so happy we got to come here and celebrate my birthday. The food was marvelous. Our server did a fantastic job taking care of us! Our waters were always filled. Our cocktails were never dry. And our plates were always filled cause food was always ordered on time for us. Homie was on point tonight! The venue can't be any more stunning. The weather was lovely. We were meant to be here today! In so happy we started my birthday week off at Bittercreek!

Now, the food. My friend went for one of their signature burgers, which was seasoned simply so the beef really gets to shine. The only hiccup was that they were out of tomatoes, which is a non-negotiable topping for her, so keep that in mind if tomatoes are a must. I went a different route and ordered the beef focaccia. Uniquely layered ribeye and really good. We also shared a Greek salad that was simple but fresh and satisfying. And the french fries with their homemade ketchup? Don't skip em. Service was smooth and friendly from start to finish. No complaints.
