Hidden gem! The laid back vibes yummy treats and awesome staff cannot be missed. I love the fact that they offer vegan baked goods since my daughter has an egg allergy and they're DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the Strawberry latte and their Kind Mocha (they can do milk or dark chocolate!). I love the message behind their company and their mission. Parking can get a bit tricky but I've always been able to find a spot along the side streets a block or two away. read more

Have been wanting to try Kind Grounds for awhile and finally made it over. For a shop that's mission and name is centered on kindness, we experienced some of the most cold and indifferent service. On a positive note, the muffin was pretty tasty and the strawberry latte we ordered was good (not great). cool ambiance and interesting speciality drinks. The big fail here is with the service. The staff here is overly preoccupied with chatting with other regulars and each other rather than the customers they are currently helping. After prompting me to ask me what I wanted the barista my order the barista stopped and turned away from me to have a conversation with a coworker and then asked me to repeat my order. They then also stopped mid order to fist bump someone who I assume is a regular before continuing to type in my order. They then proceeded to make my order wrong. I decided to stay and enjoy my coffee but from my observations after this was not an unusual experience for this barista (they later interrupted a different customer mid order to explain they needed to write down a mobile order really quick). A very odd and unpleasant experience. I would recommend trying one of the many other decent coffee shops in the area instead. read more

Really good coffee & ham sandwich, but I sat outside around 11am and had to move inside after noticing 5 new mosquito bites. I was at the table closest to bushes so figure that's the worst spot. Would recommend that the restaurant sprays so the outdoor seating can be a bit more of a pleasant experience. read more

This has become my favorite coffee shop in West LA! They have a lot of creative specialty drinks as well as your more standard fare, and have recently expanded their food offerings (they also have gluten-free and vegan pastries!) All the staff are super knowledgeable and welcoming - place is also pet friendly. Definitely check this place out! read more

The coffee here is incredible! I had a cappuccino and my boyfriend got the specialty mocha. The cappuccino was super delicious and the espresso was strong! His mocha was absolutely amazing. If you go I recommend getting the specialty mocha as opposed to the regular. It's definitely worth the extra dollar. Also the food was super tasty. I love the chocolate chip cookie and the apple muffin. The muffin had chunks of apple and tasted great. It's also a nice place to sit and study! i still haven't gotten used to living in a world where i pay $8 for a coffee but five stars for the one coffee drink i tried (grounded latte) and the vibes. the grounded latte is made with rosemary infused water and vanilla; i love rosemary so this drink was a win for me. i'd be down to try the community matcha next time (iced matcha with lemonade and sparkling water). they made great use of this former lady & larder space with a small cute patio to boot. this place is walking distance from me so i'll be back. :) read more
