    Pork sandwich
    Marie V.

This review is their house special sandwich, very tasty and can't be beat with the current price$7. They give full topping and don't go easy on mayo and pate. This is a warning for those who don't like mayo or pate. Their house special tastes very similar to Banh mi Huynh Hoa in Viet Nam. Their sandwiches are pretty big. I can only finished half. Parking is tight during weekends.

I came to this location on a weekday with my friend. Parking can be a bit difficult to find and tight, but it is expected of a business and food commercial area. They had a variety of banh mi sandwiches to choose from. There are several tables to eat at or wait inside. Most people tend to order to go. It is very spacious indoors.

I was recommended this spot by several friends and it did not disappoint! Decent sized parking lot and huge interior for a banh mi shop. Oddly for its large storefront, there is only about 4 tables inside for dining. This place is known for their crispy pork heo quay banh mi so that's what I got! Pork was perfectly cooked with crispy edges and tender meat. I especially loved the light crisp of the bread. The extra sauce provided for dipping was a nice addition to the banh mi as well. Service at the counter was quick and efficient. We forgot our bag there and when we called back, the staff had collected our belongings and stored it safely at the front for us. It was returned with everything intact! I would definitely come back here to eat again.

Sandos neatly packages in clear containers

Alrighty... let's start with the good The place is spacious, bright, and new. The "bánh mì", which literally mean bread, are packaged in clear plastic container, displaying a very appetizing sandwich. Ordering was a breeze as the menu laid out in simple easy to order format. This is a counter order type of service, and they were efficient. Now the bad, or let's just say not so excellent... Management will need to have the service staff clean up the tables where guests dine. Even though this is a counter service place, if they set out tables and chairs for patrons, then they should keep them tidy, with the floor properly swept. The restroom needs to be kept clean... as that really reflects on how well the restaurant is maintained. The soap dispenser was empty, which leads you to think how do the staff keep their hands clean? And as for the food, although it is nicely packaged, I find the baguette lacking in flavor. Comparing to other Viet sandwich shops nearby, the taste is below par, sad to say. As for the crispy pork, it has a nice crunch, but the flavor is also average. Overall, it's a decent sandwich shop, with average price, and average taste. No wow factor for me.

Banh Mi Bo Ribeye (Ribeye Beef)

I was recommended this banh mi shop from family, and it was quite delicious. The sandwich size itself lives up to the shop's name, a giant banh mi fit for a King. The loaf of bread was quite large, and it was equally stuffed with meat generously. Compared to other shops the sandwich did not skimp out on the protein side. I got the ribeye beef banh mi, which also included cilantro, pate, mayo, chopped red peppers. Appreciate how the shop actually drizzles the mayo with the meat compared to most prepared sandwiches that just lather spread onto the bread instead. It also included some lettuce and tomato slices, which I did not expect so it was quite interesting. However it did not have much, if any, pickled carrot and daikon which is something I would have expected. The portion is more than enough for the average person. The expected flavor was a bit different from what I expected for the sandwich, compared to other shops. The shop itself is quite large and simple and modernized. I would say there is not much seating despite the large space the shop has, so it would not be very suitable for dine in for large parties. But generally most people will order sandwiches to go anyways, so seating should not really be much of an issue.

I am a banh mi lover no exaggeration. In the landscape of competitive banh mi. This place decides to stand out not with flavor, but the eating experience and minor tweaks. For starter and I personally think this is genius. The construction goes as follows Bread, Meat, Pate, Mayo , pork floss, Green onion, Veggies, and Red sliced chillis. Arguable the best part of this sandwich is the pate and mayo. So instead of spreading it on the bread where the flavor is absorbed by the bread, they put it in the middle where you can really taste those flavors. In addition adding pork sung and green adds more dept of flavor. One caveat is that the parking is horrendous, very competitive, and it is in the heart of Little Saigon.

King Banh Mi definitely surprised us!! We tried their special banh mi and they were SO generous with the pâté - every bite was rich, flavorful, and packed with filling. The bread was toasted fresh so it stayed crispy on the outside while still soft inside~ The crispy pork banh mi was my favorite with the perfect crunch, while the ribeye steak banh mi was super savory and satisfying. I also loved how fresh all the veggies and herbs tasted, it really balanced everything out nicely. And of course, the sugarcane drink on the side made the combo even better. If you're in Garden Grove and craving a good banh mi spot, this one is definitely worth checking out! They are currently having B2G1 deals!

Just pulled up to King Banh Mi and it's a full-on flavor invasion Crispy pork? Crazy good. Ribeye? Tender AF. Special combination with Vietnamese ham, head cheese, pâté? Packed like it's got secrets $9 each BUT buy 2 get 1 free... so basically I'm eating like a king on a peasant budget Proof that happiness is just a crunchy baguette away.

Really nice staff! Even though it was a quick interaction I felt very welcomed! The space itself is quite large, however there are only about 4 tables so there is not much space to sit if you wanted to eat there. Love that they offer a buy 2 get 1 and that you can mix and match for this deal. With the promo the sandwiches are worth it but at their full price of $9 that is a bit steep compared to other shops. I ordered a crispy pork and a grilled pork. Both sandwiches were extremely light of vegetables which is something I really look forward to, additionally there were no pickled veg which is a flavor you come to expect with a banh mi. The crispy pork was my preferred between the 2, it had a generous amount of meat and a nice crisp although some of the skin was burnt- there was something missing, perhaps it was the pickled veg that it needed to make it a perfect sandwich. The grilled pork was just okay, also a decent amount of mean but there quite a bit of fat in the cuts which was off putting, I don't think I would get that one again. I am glad I tried this spot but with how many banh mi shops there are around I didn't experience anything that would particularly entice me to return.

Banh mi was delicious! My son(super picky dude) loved the heo quay(roasted pork) banh mi. The dac biet(cold cut) is also good. The meat/bread ratio is great. There was a line when I arrived but it moved quickly and the person taking orders was efficiently getting people in and out. I'd definitely come back again!

    Bánh mì thịt nướng $7
    Picky Eater S.

Got bánh mì thịt nướng $7 since another elderly woman bought 4 so I'm assuming bánh mì thịt nướng is good. Thịt nướng were well marinated and bánh mì was filled with stuffing. Originally was going to purchase bánh mì bò ribeye, bánh mì đặc biệt and bánh mì thịt nướng, but sadly their promo buy 2 get 1 free ended according to staff. When asked what is the price of those bánh mì, staff said prices fluctuate. Didn't know stock prices for bánh mì existed. I prefer baguette, not fat short bread. With the price for a fat short bread, $7-$9 without promo, it's expensive! Don't think I would come back anytime soon.

The service was fantastic very helpful and efficient. They even asked whether I was eating right away or later so they could put the veggies on the side, which I really appreciated. Ordering was easy and straightforward. I ordered the Bánh Mì Heo Quay and the bánh mì đặc biệt, and they gave me an extra bánh mì đặc biệt as part of a promotion. The bánh mì tasted good overall, but at $9 each, I feel the price is a bit high if it's not part of a buy two get one deal. I also bought a box of bao buns with salted egg yolk. Unfortunately, those weren't really to my taste, and I didn't enjoy their bao as much. On a positive note, there was plenty of parking available when I visited.

Tastes all went together perfectly. Both sandwiches were so big we could only eat 1/2 at a time. An easy tip. Wrap the remainder in foil and the bread stays soft. Can't wait to eat the rest. I came to try Ike's because I let one of their workers go ahead of me in line at the market. He described a few of the sandwiches and I was intrigued. Nice job! It's a pulled chicken sandwich that is absolutely delicious--honestly, it's the most unique "actual" sandwich you can get in the area. The Perfect Order: * The Build: You have to get it on Dutch Crunch bread with no tomato. * The Flavor: The Dutch Crunch is amazing, especially with the honey on it. The sandwich itself is almost like a chicken sloppy joe--it's bomb. * The Perks: I love that they still include those little caramel apple suckers with the order. It's a signature touch that I hope they never stop doing. * Rewards: Their point system is very favorable. I frequently get free drinks, chips, or discounts on my sandwiches. The Critiques: * Ingredients: Like a few other spots, this one makes me feel a bit "off" afterward. Since the meat is tossed in sauce and they add more to the bread, I suspect there might be some MSG involved. * Pricing: Things are getting expensive across the board, and I feel like most places--this one included--are overcharging by about $3. Five stars would only be achievable if the pricing was more reasonable. Final Thoughts: Despite the price and the "food coma" afterward, the #111 is too good to pass up. It's a solid four-star experience every time.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. I am loving this place and will be coming back. Thank you so much for the staff for making my mom feel so wonderful on her birthday. The food was amazing Services amazing. Restaurant felt warm the moment we walked in and so welcoming.

The parking is easy in a small shopping center,, we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink the car to fit into a spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose outdoor seating, so we could dine in alfresco and the service was excellent. Both the main server and her assistant consistently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Service is very friendly and they basically had Spidey-sense for exactly when we needed refills. We ordered their chef special steak, which is an Argentinian grilled ribeye, but with an Italian sauce. We also ordered the shrimp, which is also a fusion of Argentinian and Italian. The flavor team-up was so good it felt like Tony Stark and Bruce Banner working together in the lab. For an appetizer, we got an empanada. This is one of the best empanadas we've had, as the crust was very airy and crispy, but not heavy and overly dense. Excellent texture and flavor,, honestly mighty enough to lift Thor's hammer tbh. Also, ordered Argentinian sausages. Excellent texture and bold flavor. It may not have a spicy kick as an Italian sausage, but quality meat and insides. Dr Strange would happily take us on a tour inside and out of this sausage with his yellow portal openers. Oh wait, we are the sausages, so guess he can't. Interestingly, enough, we didn't think that bread could be so excellent! We are big fans of French and Vietnamese style baguettes that are slightly crispy on the outside, but very light on the inside. The bread here was crispy on the outside, but also light and a little chewy on the inside, but in the best way possible. So it has its own flare and flavor. We asked, and they indeed bake this in-house, and you could definitely tell! They mentioned that they make their sandwiches with this baguette bread that is baked on premise and in-house, so we will definitely have to come back and try it again. That bread is basically the reality Infinity Stone of the menu. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! Kinda as relaxing as chilling at the Avengers compound after a long mission.

Service was good and there's a decent amount of seating inside with cute little marine themed decor. Lobster roll combo with the soup ($32) - I got the Maine style (cold) lobster roll which had really good flavor and the amount of lobster was really nice. I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top. Fish tacos ($15): You get three tacos which is decent pricing. The fish was crispy and flavor is basic but good. All in all, a good spot to get your lobster roll fix without having to drive too far!
