It's been a while since we had lunch King Buffet at the Carson City location. When we entered the restaurant, the crowd was still pretty light but soon enough a steady stream of customers walked in the restaurant through our visit. The employees at the restaurant were very nice and efficient, they cleared our tables and topped off our drinks quickly and frequently. There was a good selection of food but it was a bit different from what I was used to but it was still pretty good and they had a good selection. Our 5-person party enjoyed a great many dishes they offered; I especially liked the two fish dishes in their buffet and all the seaweed salad I can eat from their sushi section. I also liked their coffee-flavored cake; I wished I had another stomach just eat more of it. So, in summary, we had a good lunch at Carsom City King Buffet

Came here with the family and friends. Everyone had a good time. The ambience was nice. We all caught multiple plates between the four adults and one for y'all. We pretty much tried everything. I really like the Mongolian barbecue was so good everything we could pick I chose lots of veggies and some shrimp of that protein. I feel that the crab Ragu could be cooked a little bit longer there a little under Guin but everything else was good deafly will be back. The servers were very polite cleared our place quickly. Thank you.

Today i give them a 4 only because the green beans were hard and cold and so were the french fries. Other than that everything else was great. The place was clean and cool and the staff were attentive.

I just can't resist a Chinese buffet when I'm traveling and this was another example of that. I had skipped lunch and this ended up as an early dinner in Carson City. The buffet is in good shape. Nothing spectacular but clean and restocked often. I was able to put together a decent plate of all proteins though I did pop a couple pieces of nigiri sushi on a second plate. A little on the bland side but this is an Americanized Chinese buffet so that's to be expected. Clean restaurant and my waitress refilled the water and cleared dirty plates as needed. I'd have liked to see one-use gloves out on the buffet line for safety but I was glad I had brought a couple of my own. [Review 17686 overall - 32 in Nevada - 1207 of 2022.]

Great food and quite affordable for the variety and taste. The sushi selections were quite good and not overstuffed with rice. The variety shrimp selections were excellent and everything overall tasted quite good. The staff were fast at clearing up the plates from the tables and replenishing the buffet selections. Definitely will be back for more.

It was alright given it was only $14 for AYCE. But if you don't come in with those expectations, you'll probably leave pretty disappointed.

Nice selection of food, I only wish they had sauces for the Mongolian BBQ. Nice service, except for the guy at the front desk that sat us

So, my local friend wanted to take me to this Thai restaurant right down on the main street in downtown, if Carson has an actual downtown that is. We got parking right in front of the place on the main street. Inside is nice and elegant in a Thai kinda way. Nicer than a casual mom and pop Thai joint. We get seated at a nice table near the front. My friend already knows the menu, so I go with hos suggestion for the Lunch special Duck with sauce over rice. It's $22 bucks, so it better be good! He has the Thai battered salmon for around $19. Soup is included and it's just a veggie broth, though tasty. Then our lunch specials come out. Oh wow, that duck look really good. It's totally deboned, so no messing with bones at all. The sauce was super tasty. My friend said he thinks its some sort of duck juice reduction with other added stuff. Whatever, this was one of the most tasty duck dishes I've ever had. His salmon was unique, I never saw a dish like that made with salmon. The coating was very unique and crispy and the salmon not over cooked. Overall, I really liked this place. I think my crew is having lunch at one of the local casinos, I'd rather be here!

The bill came to $80 which I felt was kinda steep for 3 items, especially in Carson City. The restaurant is located on a street where there was very limited parking in front and all the rear parking is super dark so bring your night vision goggles. At least there's plenty of parking spots. When I walked in, I was surprised to see Caucasian staff members! Well I guess this isn't that different than Panda Express where you have hispanics in the front and the 1 token asian in the back cooking. I picked up my food and was pleasantly surprised to find the dishes were pretty loaded. I started dipping into my duck curry and OMG it was probably the best I've had. Not only was the flavor amazing and spiced just right, but there was a generous amount of duck! When I went to eat dim sum recently and ordered roast duck, I got a plate of duck that was mostly skin and bones. Here they actually de-boned the meat so you're getting nice chunks of flavorful, meaty duck along with fresh chunks of pineapple, tomatoes, and spices with that yummy curry over my caucasian rice (I like to be culturally sensitive). Even my wife that don't like duck really enjoyed this. So while $80 for 3 dishes may seem a bit high, it was worth it. I really enjoyed my meal here and my kids also ate all their noodles with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

I loved the fried rice since it dint have a lot of peas-carrots... which I don't like. Soup was hot and I liked it. Cashew shrimp was good I ordered it without carrots so there was lots of celery. Quality/Quantity - 5 stars when we first discovered this place a year or two ago. Today it was a 4 star experience, as it was too soy saucy and salty for me. And I love soy sauce and salt!! Combo Chow Mein - Generous portions. Had at least 4 shrimps. I also really like the cuts of their meats, both the chicken and beef were thinly cut and tender. They sell boba drinks, donuts, Vietnamese and Chinese food... etc. They also have a very limited dim sum menu. They also have a lunch menu. Atmosphere - Small local business, sit down is now reopened. Open 6 days a week from 6am to 9pm; closed Sunday. Yelp and their menu hours differ a little. So call to confirm... Plenty of parking. Service - Good, we have only ever done take-out here. They seem to have a very good take-out business, but I am patient. Price - As you can see from my 1-5 year old menu pictures, prices have gone up from $10 to $16 for my combo chow mein meal. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location for 14+ years. I look forward to trying your donuts and Vietnamese food in the future.
