From start to finish our dining experience was superb. The restaurant was beautiful and inviting. Our server was one of best in the business. He was pleasant and very attentive. Now for the food, the steak and short ribs tasted as though they were seasoned by your favorite cooks in the family. Overall, I give this place an A+. Definitely a must visit.

Y'all, where has this been!!! The steak is above par in all fields and just is so flavorful! Service it great, wine list excellent.... Not sure what you're waiting for!

Seed oil free steak house in the galleria area that does everything really high end. I came here for a family Christmas Eve dinner and appreciated how they upgraded us to a more private setting in a room to ourselves. They manager swung by and said how he made sure to do this since he saw on the reservation we asked for two high chairs for small children. It was a thoughtful addition to our visit here! The atmosphere is the upscale modern and clean you come to expect with new restaurants, and I thought the full 360 windows in the main dining room was cool. The service was nice, but I do wish they were a bit more present and a little more engaging. Our waitress did everything needed, but when you go to a steakhouse, I expect that little bit extra. Come check for drinks more often, water refills as soon as necessary, talk up menu items. The food itself was top notch for us. We are victim to the cleaner eating thought train and they proudly make that known as part of their experience here. Meatballs were incredible texture and had a nice spice to it. Crispy tallow fries and a Caesar salad that hits the right notes are a perfect pairing for any "Girl-dinner". Personally I loved how the steaks tasted, garlicky and crusty outside where the grill kissed it just right. Again my main reservation here is that it doesn't hit that over the top American steakhouse experience you might expect. My drink was kinda plain the veggies were good. But I think I was looking for something punchier on the menu too. We left really happy with our visit to King Steak, and I imagine we'll be back, because it was so pleasant and fits our expectations for food quality.

Enjoyed my first Mother's Day Brunch at King Steak! They had a 3 course brunch special for $75 per adult, served family style. To start, we enjoyed French toast, lemon ricotta pancakes and avocado toast. The main course (pictured) included salmon piccata, beef tenderloin & honey baked ham with jalapeño hashbrowns on the side. Everything was delicious & came out hot, our server placed another order for our main entrees so we could pack it up to go (included in the brunch special for no additional charge) -- we finished everything off with an oversized chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. We left stuffed & satisfied!

Came here for Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025. A great way to try several dishes. Between the two of us, we were able to try/share 8 dishes! For apps, we got the rock shrimp and guacamole/bacon. Probably the best guac I've had - nice and chunky! We tried both the traditional and beet salads, both light and delicious. For entrees, we got the filet and short rib. The short rib was the winner here - super tender, fall apart. And to end the meal, we got the butter cake and half baked cookie - OH MY!! What a way to finish off an amazing meal. Both were winners! The service was lovely and not intrusive. The place itself is stunning, with comfy booths and a nice bar in the middle of the room. They have private rooms available which look so inviting! King Steak will thrive in this location and we can't wait to come back!

Beautiful steakhouse in front of the BBVA Compass Plaza building. Firstly, the service and staff were so extremely accommodating. We requested a larger table for a table of 6 and they immediately moved us to a larger, private area. Customer service is so important to make a place memorable- so thank you King Steak staff (Eric and Justin). The food was fantastic. I'm a huge fan of spinach artichoke dip and I would say their spinach artichoke dip is now my favorite in Houston. Meatball appetizer were huge- very shareable. I got the short rib- it was tender, flavorful. They also cooked the filet to perfection- perfect medium rare and seasoned just right. Do not skip their dessert! I would definitely add this place to my regular rotation.

Great place! Staff is so friendly and attentive! Food was delicious. (The crispy brussels sprouts are AMAZING!) Lovely place for a date night or to drop in and eat at the bar.

Chose king steak for our weekday happy hour. We arrived right after opening on Wednesday, the bartender seemed to still be setting up. Our small group of 3 were the only ones in the establishment for a while, the bartender was not even a little friendly and even made me feel uncomfortable. First he seemed surprised when we arrived, almost as if he was taken back by guests arriving within 10-15 minutes of opening (despite it being business hours). It was my first time there and I wanted to see the drink menu, well he rushed me by asking 3 different times what I wanted in the span of 3 minutes. He was very standoffish and didn't make any small talk with us whatsoever, he took our food order and when I suggested that steak bites would be a great addition to their HH food menu, he laughed and responded "well if you want steak, you should just order a steak". Again, we were only there for happy hour and we ordered appetizers to share, no one ordered an entree. The ambience was already off but the bartender's response just made it awkward. I hurried and finished my drink and got out of there as soon as I could. The food was good but due to my experience I am in no rush to return. There are many restaurants and fine dining establishments in the area to choose from where good service is included.

Can you say perfection?! This meal was an unforgettable combination of delicious flavors paired with beautifully presented dishes that awakened all my senses. From the first bite to the last sip, everything was absolutely on point. If you're coming to Houston, this fabulous restaurant is a must. The customer service is top-tier--warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. And the drinks? If you can think of it, they can make it--crafted to perfection every time. Abigail was a very attentive server and the manager Eric's attention to detail was close to perfection. The ambiance was equally impressive--thoughtfully designed and able to complement any occasion, whether it's a romantic night out, a celebratory dinner, or just a relaxing evening with friends. This spot has officially earned a place on my favorites list. Don't miss it!

I was invited to the soft opening by a friend. The name seemed a little ridiculous, but who doesn't want to give a new potential hot spot a try. It was a mom & dad's night out, so we were excited to have some great food and beverages. Upon entering the decor was excellent. Definitely seemed well thought out, even the plates were bespoke (see my photos from the night). The menu was unique for a Houston steakhouse. They had chicken parm! I've seen this in other Mid-West Steakhouses, but not in Texas. We ended up giving that a try. If you are putting it on your steakhouse menu, you must be confident at how delicious it is. Wow, so delicious. We also split the Caesar, another WOW. There was some passed apps that came because of the soft opening. Everyone of them were so delicious. The service was great. They did not seem to have the first week jitters that I have experienced at so many restaurants and bar. The wine was delicious and not too badly marked up. King Steak definitely stands out versus the other Houston steakhouses. Will I be back? Definitely.

We came in at 3 for a quick meal before our flight. Service was wonderful! The Bartender made some wonderful suggestions- we settled on the calamari/shrimp, beet salad , fries and the 14oz strip. Everything was delicious and cooked as requested.

We had such a great dinner at this steakhouse. One of the things we really appreciate is that they don't use seed oils. It's clear they care about quality ingredients. The food was excellent and the service matched it perfectly. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, scallops, filet mignon, bone-in cowboy ribeye, and Ora King salmon. For sides, we had the jalapeno hash browns, mushrooms, and french fries. Everything was delicious and cooked just right. The wine selection was also fantastic, and paired beautifully with our meal. Although we had 2 small children with us, the staff and manager were so kind and accommodating. Even the owner was there and took time to be so kind to our children, which truly made us feel welcome. Definitely save room for dessert! We ordered the large cookie topped with a scoop of ice cream, it was the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, thoughtful service, and a warm atmosphere.

This restaurant boasts they are seed oil free, right on the menu!! I am extremely sensitive to seed oils, so dining out is very challenging for me. I had 0 inflammation after eating here, they are the real deal. The owner was present and chatted with us about ridding the kitchen of plastics and other harmful things as well. 100% onboard with what this establishment stands for! Overall great dining experience too. Service was top notch, and I felt the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and experience. I will be returning soon. We sat near the bar area and the aesthetic is beautiful with lots of large windows.

Mid to upper pricing. $50 entrees

Valet??do they have valet service?

Yes, they do!

What is the dress for dinner?

I would not wear shorts. It's a very nice Steakhouse with a cool vibe!

Do they have their own free parking lot? If not, what are the parking options and how much does it cost. TIA.

Events and activities include live music, DJs, yoga, Zumba, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderlawn during Christmas and Lunar New Year. There are seven gardens which take up about an acre. There's signs throughout the lawn that explain the different gardens and various spaces. Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! Thumbs Up: The rooftop lawn and garden are beautiful and provide a relaxing place to enjoy the city skyline. Thumbs Up: Portions of the rooftop are dedicated to gardens that grow fresh produce, adding a unique touch to the space. Neutral: I wasn't able to determine where the harvested produce ultimately goes. I'm sure the information is available somewhere, but I don't recall seeing it during my visits. Thumbs Up: I can actually see my home from the rooftop. Thumbs Up: I've watched a few rooftop concerts from my balcony. Thumbs Up: As an added bonus, it's always entertaining to hear some of my neighbors complain about the "noise pollution" during HOA meetings. Living Downtown comes with unique advantages and occasional inconveniences. If someone can't tolerate city life, they may be happier living in the suburb provinces. Thumbs Down: Access to the rooftop is sometimes restricted during seasonal events and special art installations. I understand the need for ticketed events, but I wish general access to the public spaces could remain available whenever practical. Thumbs Down: I am able-bodied, but I couldn't help noticing that rooftop access appears difficult for visitors who use wheelchairs or have mobility impairments. The elevators are not easy to locate, and several were out of service during my many visits. Improving accessibility would make this space more welcoming for everyone.

The Palladium is located on a one-way freeway frontage road, so you can't make a U-turn to get there if you pass it up. But it's not one to avoid. The Palladium is not a franchise of a nationwide company named after Arthur Murray or Fred Astaire. It's a local concern, and doesn't offer as much as the other two studios I listed. I've gone to their Latin events, and here's what it looks like: They have in-house instructors, and also bring in people from outside Houston. (I wrote about California's Kathy Reyes in two prior reviews, I hope she's reading this and makes the trip to Houston some time!) They have classes, and they have dance parties. Both are run well, charging market rates. Lots of parking. One medium-sized dance floor, two smaller studios. The bar sells drinks, both alky and non-alky. Restrooms are deep in the bowels of the building, down the hall to the left. The people who come are a good company, and are fixinta learn to dance better and to have fun. The social dance community of Houston is smaller than in other cities, so there's much overlap from one instructor to another, and it's likely that you'll meet someone there who you danced with somewhere else. I haven't met any snobs yet, but you can't assume that they won't be there. I first went to the Palladium for New Years Eve. I've been several times since then. The experience was similar to others I've been to in other cities. I've had a good time, and never drove home thinking "well, that was a waste of a hundred mile drive one-way." Beaumont simply has nothing like The Palladium, likely because few people in the Coonie Triangle are interested in ballroom or Latin dancing. I encourage you to find a class or party and stop on by.

I told him I had just spoken to someone yesterday, and he "you have wrong information, there's no way we can do reservations with this many people - you probably called the corporate office (it's the number listed on their website so that made no sense)" and was very dismissive of me and not apologetic whatsoever. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Had to take my three nieces elsewhere at the last minute and don't imagine I'll be returning after that experience.
