I tried King Taco for the first time two weeks ago and ordered carne asada tacos with salsa roja. Since my first order, I've made three additional orders. The salsa roja keeps me coming back. Their salsa is so addicting, incredibly spicy, somewhat smoky and totally unique. You will not find this flavor ANYWHERE. My mouth is on fire by the time I'm halfway through the taco. This salsa has completely changed the way that I prefer to eat street tacos forever. No other salsa roja will ever do anymore. I've ordered 4 of their 6oz salsa cups just so I can freeze them at home and put them on literally everything. One minor gripe, I think they could put a little more onions and cilantro on their tacos. So I make my own onions and cilantro when I get tacos from King Taco (I need a lot). But aside from this, I think King Taco has one of the best street tacos in LA. read more

I love KT and their food. I am quite disappointed with the service today. Everyone was very nice, polite, and prompt however, I ordered 6 Tamals and a Burrito to go. Tell me why I asked for 5 Red Sauces and they said they could only give me 3? I ordered 6 Tamals cmon... I don't think it's cool for them to deny me that being that I did order that much food. always love king taco. the flavor and taste is always consistent across all locations, but i do feel the shrinkflation here. the sope i had was not as packed with meat and cheese as usual. maybe it's about getting the right person to make your food which is simply a luck of the draw. green salsa here is to die for, but the red is dangerously spicy. can only handle a drop at a time. carne asada and pastor are too good here. they're just special at King Taco and i'm blessed to know it and love it out here in LA. classic read more

One of the best taco chain restaurants in LA. They have multiple locations throughout LA but prefer coming to this location even though it's not the closest one to me. This place has plenty of parking spots as opposed to others so you don't have to struggle. You can never go wrong with king taco! Such a staple in Los Angeles! I always get the sopes and carne asada tacos but the burritos are also good! Pair anything you get with a horchata and you're good to go. If you haven't already, you need to check this spot out. read more

Might be overrated but that's just my opinion. Atleast the staff was very nice. So first we called to ask if they do take out, but they stated "no, you still come to the line and we'll make your order when you arrive but they'll take the order info over the phone." So very casual setting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Minus 1 star because they didn't give any limes. That really makes the flavor pop out. There are like 7 sections and when they call your order you go to the section that called to pick up. They call out the number in English and say something else, which I assume may be the section you pick up from but I couldn't really understand because they use a PA system. Anyways we went up to 2 different sections trying to find our food. When we finally did, the cook asked which sauce and gave us green and red sauce to go. I personally like the red because it had a stronger spicy kick to it. As for the tacos itself, I got chicken, pork and steak. The steak was probably the best because the meat was seasoned a lot more. King Taco used to be our favorite spot to get Tacos de Asada. Sadly, things have gone downhill fast at this location as well as the Pico/Alvarado store. We purchased 22 tacos for nearly $54 and they have ALWAYS given us one salsa for every three tacos. Today, I should have received 7 salsas, but the lady only wanted to give me 6 salsas. I think it's ridiculous to spend this much money and they are so stingy. They also didn't offer any napkins, so I had to ask for them. The worst part is that we have noticed that the tacos are basically tasteless now. The asada used to be so flavorful and tasty, so it's very unfortunate that they have decided to cheap out on the quality of the meat and seasonings. To boot, they don't even fill the tacos up all the way with meat like they used to or chop the meat up into uniform pieces anymore. Sadly, I don't think we will be back to King Taco. One thing that I love about king taco is the food never changes up. They always have the same delicious flavors in the meat and salsas. Every location I've visited is always very clean inside and outside. The service is always good. I've never experienced anyone being rude. Came here to see if it's still the same and it's not.. thankfully the carnitas and Al pastor tacos were good but the carne asada didn't taste like carne asada and the sope was way too crunchy and dry. My son had the half rotisserie chicken and he loved it, beans and rice that came with it were a little bland but dipping the chips into the beans made it taste better. I've always heard about King Taco & bummed there's none in OC. I used to work in the same building as the corporate office which made me even more curious to try. I was surprised to see this location has a good sized parking lot & it's decently clean for the area. The inside has millions of tables & very clean too. It was pretty busy when we arrived, & a long line. The food has to be good if it's busy & a long line. I'm really boring when it comes to Mexican food & I really only order tacos. I was surprised to see they have rotisserie chicken here. I ordered 4 carne asada tacos & my husband got an all meat burrito. We also got some nachos & a large horchata to share. I was slightly bummed that they don't do the whole grilled onions :(. The food came out relatively fast & my first impressions was that the tacos looked very plain & bland. Ha was I wrong ! My first bite was without the salsa & the meat was not at all dry & there was so much flavor ! I also tried the green salsa which was my fav - adds a nice kick. Recommend ! This is a restaurant chain that does not disappoint. It doesn't matter which restaurant you go to King Taco will not let you down. Very disappointed all due to the manager Rosa de la Rosa of this location. Bad service only because of her. The food is great but the manager not, all because she would not allow me to order my tacos with the meat separate from the tortilla. I have ordered my tacos this way before at several locations but she said it was her policy that she does not do that at this location. This is not acceptable, the tacos are made upon ordering, they are not premade and wrapped. Why would she not allow it? Because of "her" policy King Taco is getting a bad review. This place has the best tacos in Los Angeles hands down. The wait is long sometimes but definitely worth it. I have only tried the carne asada tacos and burritos because I love the flavor of the meat so that's all I need. The red salsa is the best I wish I had a lifetime supply of it at home because it is so good and spicy like I like it. I definitely recommend this place just be patient but it's worth waiting in that long line for sure. read more

However, there are days when you crave that grease and that spicy peppery red sauce that only they can make. Line can get super long, but they are quick with getting the line moving.
