I love this specific taco Gavilan it's delicious and the best part they have drive thru great costmer service

Asada mulita split, beans with toppings, lemon lime Jamaica

Best tacos in town! Food is always consistent in flavor and serving size. I don't think I've ever been skimped on meat in any of my many visits... The service is always fast, it's good for both when ur in a rush or if u feel like sitting down to eat and enjoy their salsa bar and unlimited drink refills.... They recently changed to music videos and music on their screens, makes the meal much more enjoyable. My usual order is an asada burrito with cheese and crunchy tortilla... but lately, I've been getting a Mulita de asada and splitting it into 2 cheesy tacos... so good... and the self serve beans make any snack into a full meal... My favorite drink here is a mix of 3/4 sprite and Jamaica.. You gotta try it. (Lemon lime Jamaica)

Good food, options, prices & open 24hrs. I usually get the supper burrito, their plates & tacos are good as well. Both the carne Asada and chicken are tasty. I wish they had a mild salsa, I have used the green salsa when cooking a pound of meat for tacos at home. I do like the fact that they have cheesecake on their menu however it's a little lackluster and could use some toppings like fruit or a caramel drizzle.

1 jalapeño for 4 people

Love Gavilan but this has got to be the absolute worst location. Spend $100 on food for 4 people and they'll give you 1 lemon wedge and 1 pickled jalapeño. Not just once. This happens all the time with this location. It's also very wasteful with its packaging.

I really like the carne asada nachos at Tacos Gavilan. They are a generous portion and the meat is flavorful. I usually order the carnitas tacos, which have great flavor. The salsas are flavorful, and I love the packaging. The food is priced well, and you get a good amount for the price. I would recommend this place for quick bites.

The meat went missing like my appetite when I opened it.

They rip you off. I asked for a carnitas burrito. No carnitas. I got a rice, beans & sour cream burrito. I don't know if my Spanish is so bad they heard me say "Vegetarian" or if they think I'm fat & have had more than my share of carnitas, but this was a huge disappointment.

Tacos! Delicious!

When you have a taste for some delicious tacos, this is the place to go. The selection is great. The food is seasoned well every single time. Although the restaurants are new, this taco shop has been around for a very long time. They know what they are doing and they do it well. The burritos are super delicious too. They serve the best horchata, Jamaica, and pineapple agua fresca. The service great! The restaurant is chill, and quiet because everyone is enjoying the delicious, fresh Mexican food. Only time it's loud is if a baby is fussing because they aren't getting fed fast enough. Please note: The tacos come with everything on them if you agree, I added cheese, salsa and peppers to my tacos. I went in!

I love gavilan but my friends have never gone so we got a little bit of everything. I love their mulitas and nachos and horchata! I like how everything is in packaged baggies now. Always reliable, consistent and its like a mexican mcdonalds lol

Although Tacos Gavilan is a chain, I have to give them kudos with consistency. You can go to any of their 14 SoCal locations and expect to get the same great flavor, size and customer service. The al pastor burrito slaps and is super flavorful, pair it with a hint of lemon and salsa, goooodness! They are reasonably priced and offer taco Tuesdays! Inside is always clean and service fast! Give them a try if you ever pass by one! Pre-covid they offered an amazing salsa bar, where one can get cilantro, onions, pickled jalapeno and carrots, radish and salsas. This time around I visited the drive thru but a few months back the salsa bar still wasn't open.

Great food, very nice and friendly employees, good prices and great service via the drive-thru. Huge parking parking lot, easy access on Washington Blvd. I had a chicken and bean burrito (no rice), large horchata and red sauce. Soooo good! A good place to grab a meal if you are in the mood for Mexican food.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. Great food, authentic flavors, and wonderful service make Guelaguetza a restaurant we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!

As soon as you walk up the stairwell you'll be transported into this super cute place with an outdoor-indoor feel, almost like an elegant treehouse. We were seated on the second level which provided a Birds Eye view of the restaurant. We ordered a few items to share: Cameron ceviche, flautas and for our sweet tooth, French toast paired with a mango sorbet surprise with a candle for our birthdays (tip: we drizzled the melted sorbet on our French toast and took small scoops with each bite - game changer!). Everything was so delicious! We also ordered mocktails, a miche-nada for him and a lemony drink for me. This experience wouldn't have been as great without the exceptional service we had. Our waters were always refilled without asking, our tables were cleaned with every dish, honestly top-notch service! While it is definitely on the pricier side, the flavors are extremely unique and delicious, making it worth the splurge for a special night out. My only real bummer was discovering they took the vegan ceviche off the menu--that was actually the whole reason I came back! I'm sure they have their reasons, but I was pretty disheartened to see it go. Overall, the menu doesn't have a ton of vegan items, but they do have some room for adjustments if you ask. Despite the menu change, the incredible atmosphere and unique menu still make it a must-try.

My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.
