I've been a lifelong KT fan for many years. Anyone who knows me knows my first experience was at the KT in East LA on 3rd Street where my now father-in-law tested me on how I could handle the red sauce and tacos at KT (I was dating my wife at the time and he was old school OG and wanted to make sure I could hang). Needless to say I passed (along with other "tests" he gave me) and, over 14 years later, I am still a fan of KT. However, I've never been to this location in Maywood. And I regret never having come here until now! Just imagine a KT with draft beer... Now imagine one that sells wet burritos. Now imagine one that sells moles... That sells asada fries... That sells taquitos... That sells pozole... Well you get the pic. KT isn't known for more than their tacos, burritos, quesadillas, sopes and the weekend rotisserie chicken. But this KT isn't your typical. They serve everything I just mentioned... And beer! Who doesn't love himself/herself a spicy taco with a cold beer to wash it down? I love wet burritos, so for my first time here, I got an al pastor wet burrito with green sauce. It was more tangy than I had anticipated, but still good. Next time, it'll be the red sauce... Or maybe the mole... Or maybe the taquitos... Or... Dang it, I've got to come back again. I can't decide...

This worker wearing a yellow hat and shirt was staring at me aggressively just because I looked at him to ask a question. He came up to me very aggressively and asked me I needed something g . I showed him my receipt and he said oh okay and just went back to that station . I was waiting for my sope and they were taking forever and I just happened to lock eyes with him and he came up kind of angrily aggressively. I don't know about this place . He was mildly intimidating. I thought he was walking up to me to help because I was a customer and had been waiting for what seemed like a long time , but it didn't feel like that at all . It was more of a what are you looking at vibe . I don't know what I did wrong tbh . And all the employees were looking at me like their boss is having a bad day .

I think this is the best place out of all the king tacos. Somehow, the meat tastes better and the service pretty good. But the part that makes it a lot better out of all of them Is that they sell beer. And you never go wrong with beer. So come down if you want some good tacos and good beer.

Food is always good here, but charging $2.40 for a single side of cheese is crazy!! Every other king taco in the area gives you 2 portion cups of cheese. That's ridiculous, especially when your customer base is working class AND in this economy? At least charge less if you're only gonna give one cup, damn.

First time coming to this location, when we walked in it looked completely different to the other locations we have been. Dining area looks a better than other locations. The lines are like any other KT locations. But what I did notice that was different was the variety of plates they offer. We ordered the chilaquiles verdes, it comes with a piece of steak, side of beans and the chilaquiles. You can order eggs for additional cost. We ordered a wet all meat burrito. Also a side of fries. Waiting for the food was about 20-25mins. But the food for us was great! Everything came out hot and fresh we really enjoyed it. Overall experience was good, the only thing is they only had one cashier taking orders. I would definitely come back to try other plates they offer.

I hate to leave such a low review in one of my favorite taco chains but this location is dire need of a facelift. The whole location just seems like a jigsaw puzzle that needs putting together. Tables are holding on for dear life. One positive note of this location is possibilities with such large space. Also noticed it has a larger menu selection you won't find in the DTLA locations. Service is the same across the chains very limited customer service orientation. Hit and miss with every person.

My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. I ordered Huevos Rancheros and my wife ordered chilaquiles. The presentation was phenomenal. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this delicious looking meal. Once I did, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. My order came with two eggs on a tostada with a very tasty sauce all over them, it included beans and some very tasty potatoes. This Michelin-recognized restaurant truly feels like stepping into a small Pueblo in Oaxaca, from the beautiful decor to the rich aromas coming from the kitchen... I can completely understand why they received Michelin recognition because the flavors tasted so homemade and comforting, like something my mom or grandma would have spent all morning preparing from scratch... One thing I really loved is how customizable the mole dishes are. You get to choose from different regional styles of mole, ranging from sweet to spicy, and pair them with your choice of protein like chicken, steak, or salmon. It's such a unique and fun dining experience... Before the meal, they brought out chips topped with different mole sauces as an appetizer, and honestly, that alone was incredible. Every plate coming out of the kitchen looked fresh, authentic, and packed with flavor.. You can either order at the counter when you walk in or order directly from your table, which makes the experience feel casual and welcoming.. Overall, this place is a gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Mexican cuisine and especially traditional mole... I'll definitely be coming back !!!
