    Shrimp with chili garlic sauce

Food - 2 stars Shrimp with chili garlic sauce tastes like ketchup, sugar and bamboo shoots.. unfortunately the sauce smelled off and bought out the fishiness of the shrimp. Shrimp was decently cooked. Beef ho fun- the lady gave me the wrong order. It was supposed to be a beef noodle soup. The beef was relatively tender. Overall this was ok, a little on the sweet side. It also didn't have the char you would experience from a dish cooked on a wok. Shrimp with honey walnut sauce - the shrimp was heavily battered and the coating fell off as I was biting it. In addition I think the shrimp was microwaved and refried as I saw one of the ladies microwaving something that seemed like the fried shrimp. The shrimp ended up being too chewy and rubbery. The walnuts were actually stale too. Ambiance looks like a standard Chinese take out restaurant, it's definitely geared towards people who prefer a sweeter taste. The best part of my dinner was the Jasmine rice - it was fragrant and perfectly cooked. This is a one and done for me. Although I think if you were to try a beef and broccoli, it might be ok. Definitely not Authentic.

My coworker and I were craving Chinese as we both had not had it in a while. After going to 2 locations that are no longer in business (bummer) we "Yelped" and found King Wok. (-) The woman (older, mid 40's) was not happy to have customers (+) They had good lunch special options that came with a beverage of your choosing (-)After ordering we went to sit and the chairs were dirty, instead of cleaning the area the younger woman gave me a napkin and watched me wipe the seats! (+) The food was ready in no time and looked delicious (-) Our food was served on foam plates! (+) It hit the spot and satisfied our craving. My coworker raved about it and stated she'll be back Tip: Orange Chicken has real orange peels cooked and left in your dish with no warning! "If you don't know, now you know!" LOL

Has been my go to Chinese food place for over 10 years. Have tried almost everything on their menu and have yet to be disappointed.

The wonton soup was decent......wontons were very good but the broth however was a bit bland. Roast pork fried rice was pretty good.....a little dry and skimpy on the pork but the flavor was more than adequate. Hot and sour soup was really tasty with a good bit of spice. Scallion bubble pancake was very light and tasty. The Emperor cabbage appetizer was probably my favorite meal item.....crispy cabbage tossed in a peanuty garlic sauce with honey. It was served cold (which usually I'm not a big fan of, but this was an exception) and had a great flavor. Pork belly appetizer tasted very good but it wasn't crispy (which would have made it so much better) and the buns they were served with didn't taste completely fresh. Dan Dan noodles with ground beef was excellent.... they're served spicy and you can simply request the level of heat you prefer to fit your taste buds. Soup dumplings were of decent size and quite juicy...... unfortunately they lacked some flavor. Mongolian beef dish was excellent as was the kung pao chicken. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.

What separates this takeout place on Broadway from the others in Nassau County, Long Island New York? A) A great warm vibe and a beautiful & simple decor that makes you pause and sit and enjoy the food . B) Really tasty, fresh and hot food. C) Lot of love from the owners. I was pleasantly surprised at the warmth and the care of the kind lady who greeted me, smiled and genuinely spent time with me asking about my likes and then ensured my fried tofu n broccoli with extra garlic sauce was perfect. She also checked up on me while I was eating and asked if I needed anything else. D) Her attention to detail with every takeout order was a 100 percent. Brown rice vs white rice, sauce or no sauce ...! E) We have a new winner for the best egg drop soup on Long Island. F) Great crunchy noodles. G) Easy free parking right in front of the restaurant. It's definitely a must have on chilly nights! I also love their cold chicken feet dish. Has a good bounce to it with a kick! The pan fried dumplings weren't my favorite but that's not what they're known for. I would choose the skewers as those were very good too. There's really not much to say about this spot other then that it has a great vibe to it. Inside has a very oriented theme and you get to taste of what real chinese food taste like! Well, a specific region but still ! If you're feeling adventurous. I would definitely recommend this spot. It's great for spicy eaters out there and non spicy eaters.

They took our order and the food came out pretty fast. The menu can feel a bit overwhelming since their seems to be a lot of choices. You can definitely ask them for suggestions. Our favorite was the spicy sliced pig ear and the tujia scallion pancake. The noodles that they use was soft but bouncy. I believe they use the same noodles for all their soup noodles. The soup for the noodles was tasty and was not too salty. Parking in front of the restaurant can be a bit of a challenge. We came here right before 6pm on a Saturday and it took a while to find parking. In addition, dinner time you might be waiting 15+ minutes for a table, so plan accordingly. Overall the food was very tasty, highly recommend.
