Pagoda has been consistently good over the past couple of years. We've ordered a variety of lo meins, fried rice, chicken almond ding, chicken wings, cream cheese puffs, chowmein etc. All have been delicious! They also use the old-school cardboard containers (without metal handles) so food can be easily re-heated without health & environmental concerns. I personally get turned off by plastic, or stryofoam containers when they're used to store/serve hot food. I also appreciate the convenience of ordering via doordash, and the ability to customize orders in the comments. Pagoda isn't known for ambiance, but it's great for chinese takeout. Not the greatest food quality. The chicken was so fried I felt like I was biting into dry bread with a thick layer of sauce. And I ordered orange chicken and general Taos and couldn't tell the difference between them once I got home and started to eat. Pretty sure it was the same thing. Generally disappointed. read more

Ordered kung pao chicken. Hardly any chicken. It was pretty much just celery, cashews, and sauce. It would have been pretty good if there was actually chicken but I pretty much got a vegetarian dish. Annoying and not what I paid for. I wouldn't go here again. read more

Our Mom LOVES this place and while we were in town visiting her we went to lunch here. It was ALL DELICIOUS!! I am born and raised in HI and I am fussy about Asian food and there was nothing that we ate that I didn't enjoy, everything was terrific. I can see why Mom loves this place and loves the owners, they spent some time with us chatting while we ate, which was SO nice to have that personal touch. The restaurant relocated about a year ago to this newer location. When they first moved, the food was fresher and tastier but appears to now have reverted back to the former quality but at higher price. The sweet and sour sauce is too thick and sweet and the fry on the meat is mediocre at best with a thick layer of breading. Disturbing that the bottom of the container always has a good amount of oil as to me that would be indicative of a poor fry. The fried rice is hit or miss in that it is sometimes too salty whereas sometimes it is on the opposite end of the spectrum. Not sure where they find the chicken wings too as they are really tiny compared to other places around the area. Staff is fun and you have to respect mom and pop stores in this day and age but perhaps its time for Pagoda to stop upgrading prices but rather upgrade the quality of the food. read more

Came here on a rainy afternoon looking for a quick snack before heading to Costco lol learned long time ago you don't hit up Costco on an empty belly. Had the cream cheese wontons and a cup of wonton soup with the hubs. The cream cheese wontons were tasty! Crispy like they should be and piping hot on the inside! Now listen to the lady! The duck sauce pairs way better with them than the sweet and sour sauce! She knew what she was talking about. Next the wonton soup- the broth was awesome, tasty and not bland like expected... the veggies in it were tasty and crunchy and not an over cooked mess... now the meat- those I chose to remove after trying... there was something about it that I wasn't enjoying... same with the wonton filling... I chose to remove it and just eat the rest. Don't let this scare you off I'm just particular. I would definitely come here again for their soup and wontons or maybe try a different app next time... This restaurant has recently moved down the road to a new location. I decided to give it a try as I hadn't been there in many, many years. In a word, terrible. In 2 words, absolutely terrible. We got takeout. I ordered wonton soup which was ok and a bit better than some other Chinese places but definitely nothing special. The egg rolls were serviceable but rather lackluster. For mains we got Kung Pao Beef and sesame chicken. The Kung Pao was just a big takeout box full of celery and green peppers. Maybe there was 10 small pieces of beef and a half dozen cashews. Disgusting also. The sesame chicken was just sesame fried breading in a nasty sweet sauce. I truthfully don't think there was any chicken in it. I dissected numerous pieces and didn't find one piece of chicken. Another complaint was wait time. I placed my order and was told it would be about 25 minutes. Really? I don't know of any Chinese restaurant that takes that long. They took every minute of that time to get my order out. Last complaint, price. I'm willing to pay more for a premium product when the quality and Flavors are there. This wasn't even close. I paid twice as much as I would pay at my usual Chinese place down the road near Maplewood Mall. I will never go back to this place. If they have to cut corners this badly, they need to just shut the doors. read more

Right when I stepped in, I knew it wasn't going to be good. It was a clean and empty restaurant but I waited a couple minutes before someone came out from the kitchen. I asked her a simple question about the menu and she gave me a grouchy attitude. I sat myself down and wasn't talked to until I had to walk up and tell her what I wanted. Sat back down, 10 minutes I got my food. 10 minutes after and still no water. Food was salty and mediocre. Maybe less than mediocre. But definitely not coming back. read more

Came here for a quick bite on break and was disappointed. Ordered kung pao shrimp and she brought me Kung pao chicken instead when I told the waitress I ordered Kung pao shrimp she insisted I ordered chicken going back a forth a few times she got upset and didn't seem happy so I just decided to eat it. She offered to give me a discount which wasn't to much at all maybe just enough to cover taxes. The dish itself wasn't to bad but they seem to be one of the shops where they are pretty shady with the meat. I'll stick to McDonald's across the street for a quick bite next time. read more

I think their fried rice is among the best I've had (and the reason behind my ratings). Their wonton soup is pretty flavorful too. When I have a sore throat, I like getting a bit of their soup. There is a fried potato dish that is very good too. I would stick to the menu as the buffet gets a little old. Pretty decent prices. If I went to school at near by century college, I'd come here to eat pretty regularly. read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE Very bad experience while dining in. We had a minor issue with our Orange chicken being over cooked and some pieces were very hard. (That wasn't the issue) The problem came when I told the gal waiting on us. She blamed us for ordering it with the sauce on the side. I'm sorry if you over cook chicken in the fryer it doesn't matter if you have sauce on it or not. We told her we didn't want it. She stared at us for about 30 seconds (not kidding ) very awkward. She then rudely grabbed the plate from the table in an aggressive manner. All of this in front of my 7 year old. She then came back and started taking plates of the table while we were still eating. We told her we were still eating the other dishes. After we got our check and she ran our card she stood over me and made sure I left a tip. I shouldn't and got crap from my wife for tipping but I felt really awkward STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

This was absolutely the worst food ever. The lemon chicken was so bad it made me gag. They took it back and never said a word. My husband asked if they where charging us for it. They said yep! Very disapoinating. Don't go! Now we are praying we will not get sick. read more
