I've been to King's pizza many times in the past, and I know a lot of people aren't huge fans of the pizza. Whether that's true or not, there are a lot of other things to commend about this spot. First of all, it's great for late night eats. I believe they're open until about 2am or so. They also have a pretty extensive menu for a pizza spot. I haven't tried everything, but I know there are lots of options. It's also very clear that the owner is in there working every day, and likely has been for the past 15 years or more. This isn't something I likely would have noticed back in the day when I ordered from Kings as a college student, but it's something I really appreciate now. He always thanks you for your business, and will even give you a call if your order is ready and has been waiting. Things are usually ready pretty quickly! I've ordered pickup from there twice in recent times, and I was pretty satisfied with my orders both times. I tried their chicken gyro, Stromboli, and their stuffed pizza. The gyro was pretty decent! I didn't finish the whole thing, but if I'm late-night craving pizza and also want a gyro, I would order it again. The Stromboli is pretty delicious. I have no complaints. The stuffed pizza is interesting-- it's two crusts sandwiched together with the toppings on the inside, and sauce on the side for dipping. I brought it over to a friend's house to share. There were 4 of us, and no slice was left uneaten. From my last two experiences, a solid 4 stars and a YAAASS King's are definitely in order. I'll be back soon, I'm sure. read more

I called in and pre-ordered a 14" large meat specialty pizza for $14. They weren't the friendliest over the phone and told me 20 minutes. Very poor service and communication skills. We got there to pick it up on time, but I had to wait, and wait, and wait. It took 35 minutes to get my pizza. Plus, two different employees asked me what I ordered. They seem to be mumbling to each other in another language and a bit clueless. They didn't even tell me what was going on after I told them what I ordered. I just kept having to stand there hoping my pizza was being cooked. At any rate, it did finally come out piping hot and get served to me. The pie tasted like cheap pizza. The crust is thin but it's a generic taste. Nothing stands out. Crust is crunchy. Sauce has very little flavor. The meats were decent but salty. For $14, it was way overpriced. read more

We've ordered three times from here for pizza and pasta during my visit. I've had the Chicken Alfredo pizza, the Hawaiian pizza, and a simple pepperoni pizza; each were very good. I totally recommend eating here for at least the pizza. I did happen to also try their fettuccine alfredo pasta which compared to other places wasn't great, but at least their pizza is good. read more

Had the BEST experience at a pizza place of our lives here. Came in after playing pool at the great bar suzie cues down the plaza and were greeted with the best service ever. All employees are incredibly nice, and very helpful. Also they were so appreciative that we all tipped them they even brought our food right to us and gave us extra garlic bread. I will no longer be ordering from King's pizza. I hate to be that person, but the last three times I ordered from them I dealt with the following: incredibly dry/old pizza (it looked/tasted like it was cooked two days prior), a severely wrong order (boneless wings with the wrong sauce, wrong pizza, no garlic knots), and damaged packaging (I'm not talking about a messy bag or something... Ordered at 10:20pm, ETA of 10:55-11:05, called store at 11:15 to check to make sure I didn't miss driver due to staying in hotel, rude gentleman states "yeah, yeah, he just left, give him a few minutes". When I called back, about 11:35pm (distance between restaurant and hotel =8 mins), same rude gentleman states "yeah, give him some time," I stated I had given hime time since the last time I called, he hung up. Ten minutes later, driver shows up with a slightly more than warm pizza, which was at very best not awful. Order with low expectations. I ordered delivery via Grubhub. The food arrived in the mentioned time frame. Disappointed with my meal, gyros, waffle fries with cheese. The gyros only had 3 slices of the microwavable gyros meat, WTF. Also did not get the cheese with my waffle fries. What a rip off. Definitely will not be getting anything from here again. I like to give business to mom and pop shops. I pass by this on my way home and was curious about it. So one night this past week I placed an order for carryout and picked up a Large Pepperoni Pizza on my way home. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. It was the most crowded I'd ever seen the parking lot. I think there was a Xenos event. There were two people working at King's Pizza. There is a large menu overhead with the items available and the prices. It's unclear if the pizza sizes are small, medium, and large or personal-sized, large and extra-large. The owner was very nice and friendly. My pizza was ready when I got there 15 minutes after placing the order. He asked how I heard about the pizza shop and said he was giving me a special price. ($8 for the pizza.) Also, I should help myself to a free soda. He said they will deliver to the Clintonville area. He gave me a menu with coupons on the back to take with me. The menu mentions they're the King's of New York Style Pizza. It smelled like there was some garlic deliciousness on the crust or in the sauce. After eating two slices, I could say I did not want anymore. The beef pepperoni was crisp but the overall taste was bland. My husband described the taste as "pizza-like". And the menu with the coupons indicated they have a carryout special on weeknights of a Large 1-Topping Pizza for $7.49. I'm not so sure I received a special price. :) They have wings and pasta on their menu too but I don't think we'll be trying anything else anytime soon. read more

Fair warning: The mushrooms are canned, which is gross. I got them in both the chicken & mushroom roll as well as an addition to my lasagna. Both were canned mushrooms. Called the store the next day and was told the driver called me numerous times which never happened and are now straight lying to me. Ordered from their website (ordered processed through Menufy), delivery said would take 35-45 minutes. After an hour I called because delivery never showed up. Was told that they didn't see the order come in so they they would have to make it and would take another 45 minutes for delivery. After another hour still no delivery tried to call but line was either busy or they would tell me to hold on then hang up the phone after 3 minutes. Finally talked to the same guy said my food was at the restaurant he would send someone to deliver. They never even attempted to delivered my food after 2 hours from ordering. This place will not let you down if you are hungry at 3 o'clock in the morning. They stay open and the food is always hot. I'm not saying that this is your local Cameron Mitchell's restaurant but it does the job and the people there are extremely nice. It's also next to a pool hall if you do order food and decide to wait for it to get prepared, why not go there and shoot some pool and engage in the other local businesses. Great place. read more

Normally I love this place. My friend turned me onto their stromboli 2 years ago and my go to is the pepperoni. The fact that they're close to campus, deliver and it's only $7 is a bonus. Unfortunately, my first review of them is negative. I asked for turkey bacon instead of green peppers on their traditional stromboli, and while the turkey part isn't an issue, the turkey bacon I found in my stromboli was uncooked. They accommodated my request for garlic sauce and they've never messed up an order for me before, but I wouldn't recommend the turkey bacon in any form to anyone ordering from here. read more
