This place is a gem! Best sandwiches you can get in Paducah. The bakery is good too for sweets afterwards. Excellent food, always fresh, made from scratch type of food here. Just walk in, order, and wait at the go threw line for your order. The atmosphere is cool because it's downtown. Its a true local, down to earth spot here. The staff is real loose with there conversations and stuff...they kind of do there own thing in here, which usually just adds to the down to earth vibe in this place. Falafel sandwich was very good, but the heat in the deli made for a very uncomfortable meal. Went to the bakery after lunch and bought several cookies and bars. Thought they were rather dry and just OK. So food in the deli is great, but too hot to eat there in the summer. Take it to go. read more

What a great find. Today Kirchhoff Bakery introduced me to Chess Bars - so good, a sweet smooth custardy treat. We also got a Southern Pecan Square, also yummy. The staff was patient, helpful and friendly. The treats were $2.50 each and well worth the price. Stumbled onto this great deli while exploring old Paducah! Great choice!! The service was fast & friendly! The variety is great- soup,salads, sandwiches. We split a roast beef sandwich on rye. We also ordered a pasta salad & a grape salad ( recommended by the owner). Glad he did! It was a great lunch. It closes at 2pm but was still busy! Highly recommend. There is a bakery attached. Just as good! This place could be a dangerous habit if I lived here. Top it off and there is a coffee shop & clothing shop attached also. Pretty clothes. Didn't try any coffee but it smelled wonderful! Loved the old brick streets & feel of this old neighborhood. Close enough to walk along the river and look at the beautiful historical murals. Honestly, I just don't get it. Locals are obsessed with this bakery, but my experiences are less than stellar. The building is unique and gives off a hipster vibe. Their lunch options and quality are just OK (nothing to write home about). As for the bakery, I didn't care for any of the cookies, brownies or baklava that I have tried, and the loaves of breads I have tried were dry and in some cases burnt on the bottom. However, I did get some of their mini pies (apple pie and chocolate tart) at the local Farmers Market, which were tasty. Cass & Co in Lone Oak is a much better alternative, in my opinion. read more

Heck yeah! This place is a find. I just stopped in while traveling thru town thanks yelpers! To start off they have some of the best pastries I have ever had and there baguette bread is really good! And cheap at only $3 well worth it, I even grabbed 2 to go. I did not have time to try the food as I had to get back on the road but I will be returning to give it a shot. This place is definitely worth the drive. Tucked away in a beautifully restored building on a historic street complete with cobblestone is a true gem. The deli is cooking up world class sandwiches with unique flavors. Though there is a long line, it was worth the wait. Right next door is the bakery part with delicious breads, cookies, pies, dog treats, and more. Next to that is a coffee shop and boutique! You will never go for want around this area. We found it just driving around as we were going from SC to MO, and we are so impressed with the area and food we are talking about making this a vacation spot in the future. Amazing. Stop here. The deli (open 11-2) served the best lunch I've had in a while. Whomever is cooking their chicken there needs a raise. The chipotle chicken club sandwich and their blackened chicken salad were both phenomenal. Lots of food, perfect for sharing even when hungry. The soup of the day was great too. And we stayed late so we "had" to walk by the baked goods on the way out and took a treat for the road. Wonderful lunch spot. read more

Came once and had a good experience overall. Prices are very reasonable and the food was good. I had the French Onion Soup (very good) and the Old Chicago (good). The service was fine although I was a bit confused on where to stand to order. There is a sign that says "order here" but I wasn't exactly sure where the line started because so many people who had already ordered were waiting for their food. The men who make the food yell out the numbers VERY loudly so stand back or your kids might get startled! If I came back to Paducah I'd stop here again for sure. Stopped here on our way from TN to St Louis. This could be one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The bread was fabulous, perfectly toasted, and the meat was really piled on high. I had just a roast beef and swiss and it was juicy and full of flavor. My husband had the club, he literally could only eat half it was so huge! The bakery items we got were good, not awesome, but good. But the sandwiches were on point! Will definitely stop here again if we are ever in Paducah in the future! read more

I love this place but if you order anything from the deli after 1pm good luck. I always get the same thing and me and my husband usually order lunch here once a month or more. Twice in a row they've forgotten to add my potato salad to my order (that I paid for). We ordered just yesterday right at 1pm. I had the corned beef Rueben and potato salad as the side. Got home, no potato salad, no dressing for the sandwich and no pickle. Husband asked for no banana peppers to his sandwich, still had them. I get that they are busy at lunch time but to forget that much on an order twice now that it's happened is a bit much. read more
