We saw this on the internet on my one of my YouTube vloggers. So we decided to come here. We came on a Saturday morning around 9:00 and there was a few tables but pretty empty. You go up to the counter to tell the waitress that you're there and then she told us to take any seat and brought us menus later. The the place is small and the only I don't know a few tables on one side but there's another long row of tables to the right of the counter. There's a secret menu with the QR code to get other items to order. I start out with a hot chocolate with no whip cream and they used a frother so that was nice. So after looking over the menu we finally ordered my wife got the waffles and then she added soft scrambled eggs and hash browns. The waffle came out cold or not cold actually warm the eggs were overcooked and definitely the hash browns were burned. I ordered the kitchen sink with steak and I asked her to do it medium rare the kitchen sink was really good and the steak was cooked perfectly I really liked it. I also got an order of french toast but it came out and it wasn't warm it was only warm but the fruit was really fresh it had didn't lacked flavor We were very disappointed since we saw this on the internet and thought it was going to be really good. The couple behind us had chickens and waffle and their waffle wasn't cooked thoroughly and the chicken was raw and she thought it was frozen so they returned their food I didn't bother returning any of our items I later heard from the waitress that the restaurant was closing. I asked her what was going on and she said that they just got informed Friday that the restaurant was closing Sunday which was tomorrow for good the rent was raised $3,000 more a month and the chef couldn't owner couldn't afford that and told him on Friday that they're closing Sunday so pretty disappointing it could have been or was I supposedly a good place but now because of the price they're not going to read more

Great spot for vibes & photos -- food was a nostalgic surprise Came here with my girls (there were seven of us!) and honestly, it's a cute place if you want pictures for the internet. The lighting and aesthetic definitely give "IG-friendly." I ordered the fried rice and... wow. It tasted just like my mom's fried rice back at home -- literally had a Ratatouille moment where the food takes you back to childhood. The only weird part is the location. It's kind of in an awkward spot, and the bathroom is on the other side of the building, which is annoying when you're with a big group. Service was okay -- nothing bad, just not super attentive. The server advised that the waffles have more ube flavor however they are sweeter. For the sake of calories I chose the French toast. Just because you dye something purple doesn't mean it's ube. The purple topping just tasted like cream cheese. Cornbread Mac and Cheese Brisket Bowl - 3/5 Mac and cheese was not bad. However it wasn't gooey. It also came cold like the plate was sitting out for a while. Brisket was fairly dry. Corn bread dry as hell too. Best part was the crispy onions on top. My friend was visiting me in sac and was looking for a brunch spot. We came across kitchen 15, and I was intrigued by the ube waffles that I saw on the reviews, so I had to make a stop. We came on a Thursday morning, so there was plenty of metered parking in the front, which was nice! You are seated by our waiter Jacob, where you can then order at your table. This place was AMAZING. We flew in from Las Vegas and Kitchen 15 was a short drive away from the airport. I will go here every time after a flight. Every dish we ordered was so delicious, we ate everything and left no crumbs. As soon as you walk in, the amazing food smell hits. The staff that greeted us were very friendly at checkin. We had a 40 minute wait for 3 people and we requested to sit inside. It was close enough to walk around the farmers market while we waited for our text. We came back early and we ordered drinks while we waited. The huckleberry mimosa was my favorite! When we were seated we had about 10 minutes to look through the menu before placing our orders. Scan the QR code in the menu for more options! The food was a big portion and tasted DELICIOUS. It was a lovely Tuesday afternoon, so we sat outside. The lightning was perfect for my photos. I wanted to try the drink flights but I was driving that day so I couldn't get anything to drink. Our server did say they could make a mocktail flight instead which was perfect just to feel like I was drinking. I had in mind the kitchen sink but when I saw that sliders were available I opted for that instead and my friend got the kitchen sink and we pretty much shared everything for the two of us. I would like to return to try the mocktails with alcohol next time When checking out be sure to look at the receipt, I believe they showed it on a device so keep in mind because we were over charged with another flight with alcohol when we only got a mocktail flight. They did correct it but just so you won't be taken advantage of for a simple mistake. To use the bathroom, ask at the counter for their key and it will be out the back to the right outside. There is indoor seating and outdoor as well. Order the southern breakfast off the secret menu! You will not be disappointed!! I came to Kitchen 15 for breakfast on Saturday with some friends based off the posts I saw on their Instagram. We had a reservation for 10am and were seated quickly when we arrived. We ordered the Mimosa Flight and the Coffee Flight to share between the 4 of us - my friends liked the Mimosa Flight, but my other friend and I did not like the Coffee Flight. I think it was a mix between bad coffee and being overly sweet from the flavoring. My friend did not want to finish her half and at $23 - you better believe I did not let it go to waste. For food, we ordered the Loco Moco, Ube French Toast and the SacTown Omelet - I was not that impressed with the Loco Moco, I thought it was a tad too salty as well. My friend liked her Ube French Toast, but it was a mixed reaction for the omelets. They are located on K Street so it is street parking which is hit or miss depending on the time of day. I saw this place suggested on TikTok as well as yelp, and I absolutely could not wait to try it. I checked on the website and it says that it's not busy early in the morning, so I got there before the rush. And truly it is a rush when it says that it will be! The cut was small. I just wouldn't offer steak on the menu if you can't cook it right, or advise on the menu it will only be served well-done so people who like it differently won't order it. Their fries are good tho. While waiting I snuck bites of waffles, ube waffles, fried chicken, and grits. Very sweet, highly seasoned. If you're wanting to go somewhere quick and reasonable this is definitely the place. If you care more about good pricing on drinks rather than food this is also a good place. The service could be better because they were not as attentive probably because this place automatically add the tip 15% to the check before you can pick... and tries to make you tip again. The waffles were really good, but the chicken was dry and chewy. The menu is very simple, but the quality of the food could be way better since the menu is limited. Overall, if this place renovated and self reflected on the quality of food this would be a great place to eat. read more

I just want to start off by saying the staff are absolutely incredible and sweet! They have a secret menu that you can dive into if you dine in, which was mind blowing!! You have to go in and see the secret menu. Hands down the best brunch menu in sacramento! The strawberry with my mimosa was SOOO juicy and the mimosas themselves were flavored perfectly. The flight is honestly so worth it. I ordered off the secret menu so I won't show it but think waffles and hot honey. Great location, right in the heart of downtown. Diner theme and such a cool vibe with the staff as well. The service was a bit long for us it took sometime for all of our food to get out with a party of 5. Our server was kind to apologize for the wait they knew they were taking a while as well so they gave a free flight of mimosas. Took almost 45 min to make a burger and turkey club. I had the Chef Gumbo it came with a ball of sticky, audoullie sausage, shrimp and chicken. The sauce didn't give me that gumbo spice that little bit of kick; the flavor tasted like brown gravy. Once I bit the sausage then the sauce that's where you get the Cajun taste. I was missing the okra. The mimosa flight was Delicious! I'm not a big drinker I love sweet fruity drinks and this mimosa flight was perfect for just that. Overall it's a cool place to check out and give it a try. This was my second time visiting kitchen 15, my first experience wasn't the best so I came with the hopes that this would make up for it. Unfortunately it did not. I added my group to their waitlist at 10:40 am but did not get seated till 2:30 pm. I arrived checked in at the front at about 12:35 because I was 8th in line in the Yelp waitlist queue, when I checked in one of the host mentioned that they would sit my group in about 15-20 minutes, we waiting patiently and after 30-40 min we went up to ask for our seated time. The hostess did not know the time as she just started her shift. 10 minutes later I checked in again, no estimated time and then told me it would be about 45 minutes more. Their communication with seating time was terrible. After another few minutes they were trying to see how to organize our seating and we finally got seated at 2:30pm. When seated we were offered complimentary bottles to make up for the miscommunication but No server came to help us, and no water. When the server finally came she got our orders but was unaware about the complimentary bottles, I could tell that the server was overwhelmed and we were being polite and as patient as we could. We placed our food order and when the food came out they then later gave us the complimentary bottles. They had no silverware or cups either, they mentioned that they ran out and only had plastic. Many in my group ordered chicken and waffles but was very hard to eat with the plastic utensils. Be aware of the 15% automatic gratuity added to every tab and 20% added to groups of 5 or more. Overall the food was okay, but the service and spacing made the experience unenjoyable. This place has some potential in being great but due to understaffing, bad customer service and space I would not recommend at this time. read more
