We have dined here twice and the food has been fantastic. Everything is made fresh and is flavorful and savory. We tried both lunch and dinner and received great service both times. This place is a nice diversion from the Mexican food and barbecue place that this area is inundated with. Cute updated decor, very friendly and attentive staff. We started with the Spinach and Artichoke dip which was excellent! I had Shrimp and Grits was was very, very good. My husband had Chicken Fried Steak and he said it was excellent. Cannot express enough how horrified we were of our experience. Went with 2 friends (one highly pregnant) and had to use the restroom. The restroom had no toilet paper and looked overall disgusting. Waited 10 minutes for someone to bring some toilet paper. Then tried washing our hands and noticed there was no soap. Went again to ask for soap. Took them over 10 minutes and multiple times asking for them to say THEY DID NOT HAVE soap. During Covid times. In a Food establishment. The entire restaurant, including chefs, unable to wash their hands with soap before prepping food after using the restrooms is more than unhygienic. We asked to speak to a manger about how they are operating a restaurant without any regard to health and safety concerns (not minding the fact that it's just plain disgusting). Manager became defensive immediately, raised his voice in front of other customers and then threatened to call the cops (!!!!) on my pregnant friend. Will not ever return and will discourage everyone else from doing so as well. read more

In town on business. This place is in a strip center and not something I would've picked on my own. Drove past it several times, barely noticing it. Not anymore. Wow, where to even begin. The food was simply incredible. The menu was crammed with an array of interesting choices...we went with the artichoke dip (w/crab added). Not only was it huge, it was truly unique and so delicious. Our server brought us extra toast points when we ran out (which were strangely good in their own right). I took a chance and ordered the ribeye (16oz). It was almost perfect; likely in my top three of all time. Roasted vegetables couldn't have been better. The Mac-n-cheese was also quite good. The portions were actually huge for all our selections. And the craziest part? The price points almost didn't make sense. Everything we ordered were very reasonably priced! Food was of high quality and tasty, but the atmosphere was also fairly casual. Really can't say enough about this place. In an area that is swimming with restaurant choices, this place would make my rotation if I lived here for sure. read more

The food was average nothing great, but the service was even worse. We stopped by at around 7:15pm on a Wednesday. The place was slow and there were plenty of waiters walking around. Our waiter was clearly in another world. Not going to get into details, but his service was mediocre and our table was the only one he was serving. Not attentive. Went MIA to the back of the restaurant to clearly smoke a cigarette. The smell when he returned gave him away. He messed up twice our simple order of two entrées (no drinks) and he also messed up our bill. Thankfully I was able to spot the overcharge. Also, I wasn't happy with the handful of Parmesan cheese that was dumped all over my sweet potato fries and chicken fried steak. Really? The cheese melted all over my fries and steak. There was no mention on the menu about the Parmesan cheese... You don't dump cheese like that over hot fries. Absolutely ridiculous, unnecessary and pointless to use cheese as garnish. Isn't like I'm eating a plate of spaghetti and meatballs or a salad. Also, the gravy was bland it needs salt, it had NO flavor at all. It tasted like plain cow milk to be honest. We love to try non chain restaurants and so glad we dined here for a birthday celebration. We started off with an appetizer of avocado bites. It was a bit like guacamole egg rolls. It was served with a peanut sauce. Very good. My family and I all ordered different entrees so that that we could sample each other's plates. My husband had the giant tender pork chop which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I had the cheeseburger. It was big and juicy served on a brioche type bun and served with extra skinny fries. My daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo. It was so so. Lacking much of a taste. By far the best dish was the macaroni and cheese topped with boneless buffalo bites. The macaroni was the best I've had anywhere. So creamy and cheesy. The combination of the cheese with the buffalo sauce dripping down into the macaroni was out of this world good. Quite surprised. We ended our repast with desserts and shared a gingerbread crust cheesecake and pecan cobbler a la mode. The cheesecake was so so. Nothing spectacular. I'm not a fan of pecan pie so my expectations were low for the cobbler. To my surprise it was delicious and didn't have that sweet goop so often found in pecan pies. Interesting looking menu ranging from hamburger to roast duck. All in all a good place to eat if you're are wanting good food with a little something different. read more

Don't waste your money. Today it was poor service and poor quality food. Go down the road to Vernon's Catfish. First no one was at door/desk to greet us for 2 minutes. Once we were seated it took waiter 8 minutes to see us. It was not busy. We ordered and a salad was brought out, but we had no utensils. After being there a total of 30 minutes, food arrived, that was actually quick comparable to the rest. However, the chicken fried steak and fried okra was over cooked in old oil. The portion of mashed potatoes was very small and baked vegetables looked and tasted like they sit over night. First experiences are everything for a restaurant for us and this was a big fail. Nice place but I definitely wouldn't order the pot roast unless you're looking for barbecue like pulled beef. Definitely not mom's pot roast with potatoes and carrots and came with a side of bell peppers, onions, and zucchini. I absolutely loved the mashed potatoes that came with it though... ate them but didn't touch the pot roast except for one small bite, didn't eat the vegetables at all and the waiter didn't even ask how anything was. I paid my $30 bill but definitely not a return customer. :( read more

Breakfast is great. Just left there wife had flavorless ribs. Had pork chop which was huge but tried out through and through. Needed chainsaw to cut through it. Horrible. This is the best place in the area to eat breakfast,lunch, or dinner! The stuff is always attentive, and the restaurant by itself is very clean. But the main benefit of it is GREAT FOOD! Pecan French toast with crispy bacon and French vanilla cappuccino for breakfast; fresh avocado lobster salad for lunch, and featuring special of the month Pasta Cabernet!!!!!
